Black Notebook

"Wake up!!!" Mir groaned and rolled away from the voice. It was too close to his ears and he really didn't appreciate it so early in the morning. "WAKE UP YOU CUTE LITTLE PUPPY!" The voice boomed, in sync with Mir's blanket being pulled from under him causing him to roll off of his bed and fall unto the floor with a loud thud.

"I'm awake." Mir sat up groggily with messy bedhair and half opened eyes. He yawned loudly. When he was sure his heavy eyelids could be opened completely again, Mir glanced at the criminal who had reduced him to the cold floor this morning. Who else could it be? Of course it was that stupid grinning dead boy spirit. "Where did you sleep last night?" Mir asked and got up to get ready for school.

GO's grin widened as he put both his hands on Mir's shoulders from behind, letting his floating body being dragged by Mir like a helium filled ballon being pulled by a child. "Are you worried about me? Aww~ What a sweet kid."

Mir exhaled harshly and took out his wifebeater and used it to smack GO but GO was faster as he float higher out of Mir's reach. "Could you answer a question seriously?"

"I don't know... There's no fun." GO lowered down again. "I was just walking around the area. Going to the park. Thinking..."

"You didn't sleep?" Mir asked, concerned.

GO pinched Mir's cheek with his cold hand for being so cute worrying about him. "I slept beside you. I came back around two and you're already snoring away."

The corner of Mir's lips curled downwards. "I do not snore." He seethed lowly. Left eye twitched slightly.

GO cackled up. "Oh yeah you did. Very loudly that I thought there's dying pig somewhere in the room."

Rosy color rose to Mir's cheeks as he started to believe GO's words. "Was it that bad...?" He asked in a small voice, peering up to GO through his bangs. GO cooed and once again pinched Mir's cheek. Mir rolled his eyes and went ahead into the bathroom, warning GO to just stay in the room and not wandered anywhere for GO had to follow him to school today. Just in case.

Not that he needed to do that since GO was bounded to him in a way. It didn't matter how far Mir or GO ran away from each other, they would always ended up together again. Mir sighed. How annoying was that? Well, at least GO hadn't turned into his scary image anymore. Hopefully not ever.

Mir didn't took long to get ready. Shower for ten minutes. Hair styled by just running his fingers into his raven silky locks carelessly. Uniform all pressed and ready thanks to his lovely mother. Books and items needed all packed up since last night.

When Mir was ready to leave his room, he saw GO still sitting on the bed, looking distracted as the ghost stared down to his hands on his laps, his fingers slightly moving, curling and uncurling.
Mir approached the other and clasped GO's shoulder, feeling the chill ran up from his hand to his arm. "Is something wrong?" Mir asked slowly.

GO looked up with a slight smile. Looking a bit insincere if Mir had to add. "You remember when I said sometimes my hand feels warm?" Mir thought for a bit before he nodded. He still remembered he did heard GO said something along that line. "These few days... they always feel cold. The warmth... Is gone." He informed, somehow looking sad.

GO stared down on his hands again. He missed the warmth that he felt before. The warmth somehow made him feel like he was still alive. He was too distracted that only when he felt warm and soft hand enclosing both of his hands that he realized Mir had bent over in front of him. Gripping on both of his hands, rubbing them a bit, blowing hot air unto his cold hands. He smiled. Mir was always sweet without intending to be.

"Now, just tell me when you need my warmth. I'll share with you." Mir said, releasing GO's hands and walked out of the room but stopped when his hand on the doorknob. Mir looked hesitant and was chewing on his lips. GO didn't ask but he looked questioningly towards Mir. "Urm hyung... Rain hyung told me you have a younger brother."

GO's smile faltered for a moment before he brightened up again. "I told you I have a dongsaeng!" Excitement shone in his eyes. But the way Mir didn't smile with him made him stopped bouncing and toned down. "There's more, isn't it?"

Mir nodded. "Remember when I said your parents are divorced?" Mir didn't wait for GO's answer because there was no way the ghost would forget that. "You and your brother also separated. He lives in America with your father. Based on what Rain hyung said, it had been three years."

GO's face looked stiff as he let out a small "Oh."

"Hyung." Mir held unto GO's hand and just endured the freezing coldness creeping up his arm. "Don't give up yet. We're just starting."

GO smiled up at Mir. But it wasn't a sad smile nor it was happy smile. But there was doubt in his eyes. GO doubted if it was right for him to track back down his past, seemingly he didn't really have a great past life.

"Happy or not, it's your life. Your memories. Surely having them better than just a completely void past." Mir said as if he was reading GO's mind, curling his fingers tightly around GO's hand. "Maybe we will find better memories." That managed to cheer the ghost up.

GO floated after the younger with a bright smile. Mir did care though he sometimes was kind of harsh. Maybe because Mir was raised by such caring family. He was grateful to Mir's mother and older brother because of them, Mir was able to be nice to him. If it was any other people, they would have probably called exorcism and sent him to hell.

"Morning!" Mir raised his hand towards Rain who was reading a newspaper while drinking a glass of milk.

Rain looked up at his already refreshed younger brother and couldn't help but amazed. "I didn't mention this before because I thought it was just because you're still in new place." He paused.

"What are you going on about?" Mir asked and took his plate of toast and eggs. He looked around. "Umma is not joining our breakfast again?" Rain shrugged. Their umma almost always disappeared in the house and would jumped out of nowhere to scare them.

"You wake up early everyday. That's amazing." Rain continued where he left.

Mir's eyes flickered to his side where GO was sitting on the table with a sweet smile. "Yeah. I got myself one hell of an alarm clock." Mir replied sassily as his eyes glued to GO who started cackling again at Mir's words.

"Really? Maybe you should get me one too." Rain folded his newspaper to have his attention fully on his brother.

Mir reached out for Rain's glass of milk and drink from that since he was too lazy to pour one for himself. "Trust me you don't want that... Thing. And you don't even need one. You wake up easily."

"If you said so. Are you going with me today or are you still taking a bus?" Rain asked. His eyes lit up with hope.

"Bus." Mir answered monotonously and gulped down every last drop of the milk and threw last piece of his toast into his mouth. He looked up and met with Rain's hurt eyes. "Aww... Yeobo~ Didn't I tell you no matter what kind of vehicle I choose to use to get to school, I still love you and we will never divorce." Mir blowed Rain a kiss and winked. "Bye yeobo. Love you." Mir skipped away from the kitchen, followed by GO who was rolling in the air as if there was invisible floor under him, laughing like a maniac that he even had tears in his eyes.

"Where's my kiss?" Rain shouted from the kitchen.

"I just blowed you one. Catch it yourself." Mir shouted back and turned around when GO tapped on his shoulder and pointed to the tall large cupboard where they stored various medals and trophies both Mir's and Rain's. Smirking, Mir crept up around the cupboard silently and jump-scare his hiding mother. "BOAAAH!"

"AARGH!" Their umma shrieked with a really wide eyes and panted right after, clutching her chest. "Ya! How did you find out?" She sulked that her plan didn't work today.

"Just a feel." Mir grinned and kissed his mother on her cheek, pusposely pressing his lips harder that her mother ended up yelping at the force. "I'm going first. Love you." Mir ran up to the front door and chuckled as he saw Rain waiting there with crossed arms.

"I couldn't catch your kiss." Rain said cutely, even batting his eyelashes.

Mir cooed. "It's okay. I'll give you another." Rain smiled and bent down slightly, giving his cheek for Mir to place his morning kiss yet Mir just walked past Rain, putting on his shoes and blow another kiss. "Catch that. Bye!" Mir ran away laughing as Rain shouted his name from behind... Quite angrily.

A cold hand wrapped around Mir's shoulder. "You guys are soooo cute!" GO said, feeling warmth filling his being at sight of such a happy family. He wondered if his family was as happy as Mir's. But... What was the odd? His parents were divorced and he was separated from his dongsaeng for years.

"Most of the cuteness come from me." Mir answered proudly only to get pinched on his cheek again, this time both cheeks, making his face stretched in a funny and weird way.

"Now that's a real cutie." GO said and float away when he saw Mir raising his hand in a ready-to-smack-a-ghost position and Mir kept chasing after him, ignoring the look he get from other people who obviously couldn't see GO.

Chapter 40: I wish you would continue this at least for epilogue maybe... this is really great but this still felt incomplete for me... and it's kinda unfair for byunghee to get hate from others since he doesn't remember a thing, if only they knew what he feels...
I hope you'll make epilogue or sequel for this...
