Black Notebook

Urmm... I think I misunderstand what GO said in the fancafe (in my defense, I only read translated one because I don't know korean so there must be some misunderstanding there)

After rewatching "King of Masked Singer", I am pretty much believe GO would never abandon singing as he found back the reason in the first place on why he sang after thinking he would just quit and forgot the reason for a moment after the MBLAQ family suddenly broken (not exactly what he said but more or less meant the same) He said so himself. I believe our fur baby.

When he said he might stop promoting as a singer two years from now, he must have meant he wouldn't be promoting as long as he is in service since a lot of other singers actually promoting while in army but he wouldn't. (And I would like to believe that!)

So, dear my A+ chingu (despite me never officially being an A+, but I'm an A+ in my own heart, LOL) let's just wait for him until he come back and presented us with the best gift which is his kind and lovely cotton-candy like voice

Rain felt like he was walking on the cloud. Each of his steps felt so light he wasn't even sure if the sole of his feet even touched the ground. There was no sense of realism in this distorted world he was in by now. Walking through the hallway of his house, Rain wondered if he was actually dreaming. His surrounding was dull and pale almost like he was under florescent lighting.

A weird sound of something crackling, like bonfire or plastic bag being crumpled faintly came from the direction of Mir's room. Curious, Rain arranged his steps there. He pushed open the door carefully, letting his eyes wandered around the dim-lit space and his lips automatically curled into a small smile once his eyes landed on Mir who was sleeping on the bed soundly. The blanket had already crumpled at the edge of the bed while Mir was sprawled messily on the bed.

The smile faltered however, when the strange sound once again resounded in the room. Rain's eyes shot from one corner of the room to another corner when he finally saw a shadowy figure standing over the bed-head where Mir was sleeping at. The dark figure was tall, towering, lean body yet his hands was long and ended with long sharp nails.

Kicked into his protective instinct over his younger brother, Rain tried to get to Mir's side yet his feet were nailed to the floor. He tried his hardest to move his legs, even using both his hands to try to move his still legs yet in vain. He tried to shout for Mir's name so at least his dongsaeng would wake up and realize the danger but his voice was stuck in his throat.

Even though Rain couldn't see but he could feel the malicious grin creeping on the creature's figure as its long sharp nail tracing an invisible line on Mir's sternum and slanted more towards the left, right on where Mir's heart was beating. With a swift motion, its long nails plunged inside Mir's chest, dark blood spurting on the bed  and when it took out his hand again, it was holding something.

                Mir's heart.

"NO!"

Rain shot up from his sleep, panting, eyes wide, clothes drenched with sweat. He looked around him in confusion as he took in the surrounding. Did he fall asleep on the couch in the living room? Running his fingers through his damp locks, his eyes fall unto the television which was still on and a horror movie was playing.

Rain heaved in deep breath. Maybe he was dreaming such thing because of the movie. He shook his head, trying to clear up the frightening image. Mir... Maybe he should call his dongsaeng just to at least gave him an ease after such nightmare.

"Omma!" He called out after calming himself down.

"Yes, Jihoon?" His mother peeked from the kitchen. "Do you want your lunch? It's already four though."

"Four?" Rain's eyes widened slightly. "I slept that long?" His mother nodded. "I'll just skip the lunch. I'm going to call Mir." He informed, picking himself up from the couch, grunting as he stretched his stiff back after a long nap on the hard surface.

His Umma giggled. "It's only been hours and you miss him already? What a sweet little thing." His umma strode into the living room just to pinch Rain's cheeks.

Rain yanked his face away from the offending hand. "I'm not little umma and he hasn't call back to tell us he has safely arrive. That brat-"

"Ouh shush! You nag even more than me." His mother grumbled and took off with both hands palming his ears, loudly singing "LALALALALALA~" out of tune.

Rain chuckled. How can both Umma and Mir so similar in everything, he wondered. "I nag because I care!" Rain shouted after the leaving woman who just waved her hand dismissingly, disappearing behind the wall of the kitchen. "Well, it's time to call that kid." He monologued and left to find his phone.

Mir sat at the edge of the bed. He wasn't even that amused to see how luxurious the guest room he was about to sleep in tonight. He would have if not for the fact that GO was alive kept his mind distracted. He didn't know what to think about it.

Mir sighed and let his body fall unto the bed under him, bouncing slightly at the force as his wide eyes fixed on the beautiful chandelier just above him. GO wasn't with him. No surprise there since GO too had been too distracted seeing his own body lying unconscious. Alive. To the point that the spirit of the dead boy- Oh that's wrong, the spirit of the comatose boy didn't even follow Mir once Mir was ushered out of GO's room and into this room he was now hanging out at.

Mir shifted, tossed and turned yet he couldn't find it in himself to rest despite his tired physical. He tried to squeeze shut his eyes only to have images of GO running around behind his eyelids. Huffing in annoyance, he gave up on trying to sleep as he rolled off the bed, shuffling towards the room where he was sure GO was in right now.

Peeking around the door, he saw the spirit sitting by the windowsills, eyes on his own body lying still on the bed, blank expression on his face making Mir wonder what sort of thoughts were in the older's mind right now.

"Hyung. Are you alright?" Mir asked closing the door behind him. GO just hummed as respond, wouldn't even looked up in Mir's direction. "Have you try... I don't know... Like enter your body again?" Mir asked awkwardly, rubbing his nape.

GO sighed, floating closer to his own body but stopped just a few meter away. "I can't even get closer to my own body, how can I get back in?"

"You can't?" Mir asked in surprise, walking closer to the bed and looked down on the still body. Honestly, it was still strange for Mir to see two GO in front of him. It still felt surreal. "Why?"

GO shrugged. "Something just pull me back away every time I get too close." He explained, palming his chest.

"What?" Mir frowned, looking weirdly at GO's chest where GO's hand was placed and frowned deeper seeing the fingers curled and clutching on the material of the shirt covering his chest. Mir didn't see anything. He didn't see the brilliant red bond connecting them. But GO saw.

                "The bond between us."

Mir blinked, his face fell once a thought came across his mind at GO's words. "You mean..." Mir's soft brown orbs shifted away from GO as he uttered in a small guilty voice. "I... I'm the one holding you back?"

GO inhaled sharply, shocked that Mir reached to that conclusion and even more stunned that the younger was blaming himself for GO's comatose state. "It's not like that." GO denied, eyes searching for Mir's, trying his hardest to convince the younger. The last thing he wanted was Mir to feel the need to blame himself on whatever condition GO was in right now because Mir definitely had nothing to do with any of these. It was his own fault.

"You said our bond pull you away from your own body. What kind of bond? I don't understand. But if what you said is true then that just mean that I'm the one pulling you away."

"Mir." GO floated over the bed to the other side where Mir was standing at. He landed softly in front of the younger who was now had his eyes glued to the floor. He took Mir by the younger's shoulder and leaned down so he could peek a glance on Mir's face. "Why would you hold me back when you're one of the people who want nothing more than me to open my eyes again?"

Mir kept silence for a minute before looking up again, greeted by GO's soft smile. "I don't know." He finally answered.

GO ruffled Mir's hair adoringly. "Do you want to know something interesting?" GO asked, diverting Mir from the topic in an attempt to stop Mir from over thinking and kept blaming himself over something that wasn't his fault at all. "When Joon held my hand before, I felt it."

Mir's eyes lit up almost immediately. "You felt it?" He asked in awe, immediately experimented it himself by grabbing GO's cold limp hand. "Now too?" GO nodded. "Waah~" Mir made an exclamation before he paused in his track and glint of mischief flashed in his wide eyes.

"Okay... I don't like that look." GO muttered, stepping back a bit.

Mir grinned and wiggled his fingers as he approached GO's limp body all the while his eyes never broke off contacts with the spirit's orbs. "I wonder if you can feel this too." He dug his fingers on GO's waist as he started tickling the comatose body which was very rude by the way to people who couldn't see GO.

GO rolled around on the floor, begging the younger to stop just to play along before he stood up with straight face. "I can't feel that." He stated in monotone voice. "What would Joon say if only he walk in on you doing that to my helpless fragile body." GO clicked his tongue pretending he was disappointed with Mir's behavior.

"The worst he can do is sue me for assault. Or maybe give me one or two black eyes before kicking me out of this ridiculously huge mansion." Mir said casually. "But you really can't feel the tickles?" Mir pulled away, pouting.

"When I said I felt Joon holding my hand, it wasn't really a feeling of having other hand enclosed around my hand. Just warmth of the hold." He explained.

Mir nodded. "When Joon hyung came to Seoul, you said you haven't felt warmth you always felt before, maybe because you and Joon hyung got separated."

"Yup. The warmth I feel is definitely his." GO said with dazed look, smile never left his lips.

Mir scowled. "if I didn't know any better, I would have thought you're talking about your girlfriend."

"Well, you have the same look too when you talk about Rain." GO rebutted.

                "I do not."

                "Yes you do."

"Whatever hyung. Obviously you're just fine by yourself. I'm out of here." Mir waved his hand dismissingly and turned to leave when he felt cold arms around him and chest pressed to his back. Despite the coldness, there was something warmth in the gesture. "Hyung. Did you lie when I ask you if you're alright just now?"

                "I didn't."

"You don't look like you're fine."

                "I didn't say I am, hence I didn't lie."

Mir nodded. GO was right. He never really answered that question, Mir just assumed GO was giving positive response by humming. Well, he misinterpreted it. The embrace last just for a short time. "You make me freeze again." Mir complained once the arms around him unwind again.

GO rolled his eyes. "You just have to ruin the moment." He complained.

                "I'm just stating the truth."

"You don't need to say it out loud though." Now GO was stomping his foot like a child.

"Oh yeah? Okay." Mir shrugged casually and smile broke out when GO started whining. "How about now?"

"I feel good now. But there were just too many things to take in for today." GO revealed, glancing towards his body on the bed.

"Want to take it off your mind?"

GO looked back at Mir curiously. "How so?"

"I brought our basketball here just in case." Mir said, stepping backwards with challenging stares. "I'm going to beat you up this time."

GO smirked. "You're welcomed to try."

                "Ohohoho. Game is on."

"ARGH! THIS IS JUST UNFAIR!" Mir exclaimed into the dead night, breaking the silence as he let himself fall flat unto the floor of the court. They had been at the game for two hours and his energy was almost totally depleted. Mir rolled around the floor in frustration. "I have better skill than you!" Mir pointed accusing finger towards GO who was still having fun dribbling the ball and shooting continuous goal as if he was playing in the arcade with lots of balls waiting in line with his annoyingly unending energy.

"For your information, my skill is better. Even if I have normal stamina, I'm still going to win." GO boasted.

"You wish! I'm demanding rematch, a fair fight, once you wake up from your coma!"

"You're going to regret it~" GO sang, tossing the ball towards Mir who was sprawled on the floor.

Mir caught the ball with ease just before the object hit his face. He juggled the ball on the air while still lying on the ground. "I can't believe this castle actually have basketball court."

"And I can't believe you call this castle." Mir crooned his neck upwards at Joon's voice, seeing the older sauntered into the opened court ground. "It's just a house." He said, looming over Mir's lying figure. He held out his hand for Mir to grab and pulled the younger easily back up on his own two feet as if Mir weighed nothing.

"Pfft! My house is a house. This? Definitely a mansion at least." Mir threw the ball towards Joon who caught it easily and dribbled around Mir as if daring the younger into a game.

"You look like you have played for hours." Joon made a comment as he kept dribbling around Mir with ease and the smoothness of him handling the ball showed he was just as good as GO in basketball.

"Two hours to be exact." Mir said, crossing his arms and tapping the ground with his right foot, looking uninterested at Joon who was still dribbling around him in circle.

"Two hours alone?" Joon hummed. "Practicing alone won't sharpen your skill."

"I'm not exactly alone." Mir whispered with a mysterious smirk and an almost creepy look in his usually innocent eyes, stunning Joon for a second and a second was what he only needed as he easily brushed pass Joon, already having the ball in his hands and he made a shoot easily. "Easy... Too easy." Mir shook his head mockingly.

"You tricked me." Joon took the ball away.

"It's a tactic." Mir defended and his smirk grew larger when he heard GO chortling in the background, obviously amused with the whole situation.

                "Now it's on."

                "Bite me."

Chapter 40: I wish you would continue this at least for epilogue maybe... this is really great but this still felt incomplete for me... and it's kinda unfair for byunghee to get hate from others since he doesn't remember a thing, if only they knew what he feels...
I hope you'll make epilogue or sequel for this...
