Jin Kyong’s POV:

As things weren’t making any progress between Hyun Su and Sanghyun, I finally decided to stop minding my own business and do something about it.

When given an opportunity, I quickly grabbed hold of it and confronted Hyun Su as he was the troubling party in this matter. But listening to his reason for staying away from Sanghyun, made me realize how a teenager’s mind really works.

“Are you okay with hurting him?” I asked him, pointing my head towards the said boy who was playing with Sun Ah while he remained silent. “Don’t you care about how he feels?”

He still continued to ignore me and kept fiddling with his fingers while I let out a sigh. “Yah! Think about it! He would be enlisting for his service in less than a fortnight and would be away for 2 years. What if he gets tired of waiting for you and finds someone else?”

His head snapped in my direction and he looked at me wide-eyed. “Mwoh? I’m not saying that it would happen for sure. But you know that’s a possibility right? I mean anything can happen in 2 years, especially when he doesn’t know you return his feelings as well.”

He nodded his head in understanding while his eyes glazed a little. ‘Aish! At times like this, how I wish I had his mind reading power instead so that I could have understood what’s going on in that head of his.’ I scolded myself inside my head.

Hyun Su let out a light chuckle. “Mwoh?” I asked while he shook his head, still having a small smile grazing his lips. “Yah! Tell me! What’s so funny now?”

He just shook his head again with the smile still lingering on his lips. “Noona! Did you forget that I can read your mind?” he wiggled his eyebrows in a teasing manner.

Realizing my mistake, I closed my eyes and let out a sigh. I couldn’t understand how I always tend to forget that he could read what was inside my head.

But at the moment, I was glad that he did. If not, he would have broken into tears and I don’t think I could have taken it. I wrapped my arm around his shoulder and we both continued to talk for some more time.

He was finally convinced that he should not be trying to stay away from Sanghyun but instead make the most of whatever little time left with him.

He stood up from the stairs where we both were seated and was about to head in the direction of Sanghyun. Instead he flopped down beside me once again.

“What now?” I kind of yelled at him, thinking that he was backing away once again.

“Can I ask you something noona?” I nodded my head while wondering what he would be asking about. He looked around once, before turning towards me. “What about hyung?”

“What about him?” I asked him, looking confused.

“Do you love him?” he questioned, still on the lookout for the coming of someone as he spoke to me.

“Yah! What’s wrong with you?”

“Noona! I’m serious. Answer me.” He cut in.

“Um, don’t you know the answer by now? Isn’t it obvious? Should I say it out loud?”

He let out a sigh and shook his head. “Then don’t you think he deserves more?”

“Do you think I’m treating him unjustly?” I was more confused now. “Aren’t we practically living together now? What more should I be doing?”

He let out a sigh. “Yes, you both are pretty much living together. But-”

“But what?” I cut him off, getting impatient.

He looked around once again as if he was making sure that no one was in ear shot. He let out one more sigh, making me wonder what was really wrong with this guy.

“Nothing’s wrong with me, noona.” He replied. There he goes again, reading my mind as if it’s a tabloid. “Anyway, would you listen to what I am about to say without cutting me off in the middle?”

I looked at him intently, expecting him to smile any moment. But his composure remained unchanged, making me realize that he was indeed being serious about it. So I simply nodded my head, agreeing to listen to him.

“I have been made to promise that I wouldn’t be saying this to you and it may not be something you would want to hear. But still promise me that you wouldn’t take it out on anyone and that you will give it a serious thought, will you?”

I blinked at him a few times and promised him with whatever he wanted. All this beating around the bush was pushing my buttons. When is he going to get to the real matter?

“I’m tired with beating around the bush too noona.” He let out a huge sigh once again. “Would you do me a favor since you and hyung seems to love each other still?”

A slight blush crept up my cheeks, hearing that Channie still loves me. I nodded
