Jin Kyong’s POV:

I was extra attached to my little angel ever since I recovered from my traumatic disorder and I kind of shut off the outside world too.

At times I felt bad for doing that, especially since I don’t pay that much attention to Hyun Su like I used to. But he totally understands me and the same goes with the other two guys too.

They played a huge role in looking after Sang Ki. They played with him whenever they are free, kept talking with him all the time and most importantly kept documenting his everyday growth without any fail.

Sang Ki is around a year old now. He started to get up and stand on his own by holding some solid things for support. He has even tried taking steps on his own but every time he did, he would eventually fall down on his .

He looked so cute whenever he laughed after falling down. How much he fell, he never gave up his attempt to walk again. However, the only thing that was missing was he never uttered even a single word.

And I was so worried about it. However, I heard from people that it is quite normal for a boy not to start uttering any word at this age.

It was Sang Ki’s first birthday. So I woke up a little early in the morning and prepared breakfast for everyone. A few minutes later, a pair of foot walked into the kitchen with lazy steps.

I looked up from what I was doing and saw Sanghyun standing at the entrance with a huge yawn escaping his mouth while I giggled slightly at his cute look.

“If you are still feeling sleepy, then go and sleep dear,” I walked up to him and ruffled his hair.

He is a lot taller than me but he still looked like a cute, little kid. Or at least for my eyes, he looked so. “Ugh? No, I’m here to help noona. Just give me a minute.”

He hugged me around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder. “If you were much older, then I would have surely called you mom.” The guy mumbled and let go off me after a kiss on my cheeks.

I chuckled and turned around to continue with what I was doing before he entered the kitchen. A minute or two later, he got up and helped me with the cooking.

We were almost done with the breakfast preparation when Sang Ki suddenly started crying. I wanted to rush upstairs and pick him up from his crib. However, I had a dish on the stove and I was worried that my hard work would get wasted if I leave it under Sanghyun’s care.

“Sanghyun-ah, would you mind getting him here?”

“Of course not noona.” He flashed his trademark smile and rushed up the stairs.

Just when I turned down the stove, the bell rang. ‘Who would that be?’ I wondered and walked up to the front door.

I opened the door and Hansuke was standing at the door. I swung my arms around him and hugged him tight. It’s been a long time since I met him. He has been very busy with his public service duty.

He let out a chuckle and ruffled my hair. “How are you little girl?”

“Little girl? Yah! I have a little boy who has turned 1 today.” I pouted unknowingly.

“I know, I know. But you will always be a little girl to me.” He smiled teasingly while I started punching him on the chest playfully. He pulled me in for an embrace a moment later.

“Anyway, where’s our little birthday boy Sang Ki?”

“Um, he should be here anytime now. He just woke up a few minutes ago. Sanghyun has gone up to his room to fetch him down.”

He nodded his head to my words while he searched for something inside his bag. A moment later, he pulled out an envelope and showed it in front of my eyes before hiding it away quickly.

“Yah! Suke-ah! What is that?” I asked out of sheer curiosity.

“It’s an envelope.” He smirked.

“Duh! I saw that.” I rolled my eyes. “Now tell me what’s inside it”

“Um, what’s inside it?” he looked up at the ceiling dramatically. “It’s a letter.”

Just when I opened my mouth to question him again, Sanghyun appeared in front of me with my little darling in his arms. I took him into my arms and immediately the little one started giggling.

I laid a kiss on his cheeks and even though I was sure he won’t understand, I still wished him and Hansuke did the same too. Sang Ki likes Hansuke a lot even though he had hardly met him.

He took Sang Ki from my arms and I noticed that he has placed the envelope on top of the kitchen counter while doing so. I simply left to the kitchen and brought back Sang Ki’s breakfast.

Hansuke said he would feed him and so I left to take a look on the mysterious envelope. ‘Who could it be from? And why did Hansuke refuse to give it to me that easily?’ I wondered.

I took the envelope into my hand and observed that it was blank on the outside. My curiosity perked up and I glanced over my shoulder to make sure Hansuke wasn’t looking.

I grabbed the envelope and walked out to the front porch before settling down on the steps. I opened the flap of the envelope and peeped inside. There was a letter inside.
