Amnesia
OrdealHansuke’s POV:
“You really don’t mind me holding him?” he asked me once again with puppy eyes, which were pleading me to agree with him.
I let out a sigh. “If I have to be honest, I do mind.” His face fell in disappointment. “However, she doesn’t mind. She said she trusts you. She made me promise that I will let you hold him.” I pointed out towards his sleeping wife.
His eyes darted in the direction of her sleeping figure and they were clouded with a flash of guilt before he looked in my direction again. “She did?” he asked, innocently.
“Yeah,” I rolled my eyes once again. “Anyway, do you want to hold your son or not?”
“Um, I do.” He held out his hand and I gently handed over Sang Ki to him and helped him hold his son properly.
I walked over to Jin Kyong and flopped down on the chair beside her bed in order to give Chunji hyung some time alone with his son. I ran my fingers through Kyongie’s hair while she was now sleeping peacefully.
I was with her the entire time she went through her labor and if you ask me, I got to say that it was really terrifying and traumatic just to see her go through it. Poor girl! I hope she is alright.
I rested my head on the bed beside her arms and waited for her to wake up. But I was also equally happy that she was having her rest peacefully.
Through the corner of my eyes I noticed hyung admiring his son with a pair of twinkling eyes. I wanted to go over and punch his face but I just controlled my anger after much difficulty.
A few minutes later, Jin Kyong opened her eyes slowly. She blinked her eyes a few times before opening it completely. “Kyongie-ah,” I called out to her softly, as she observed her surroundings.
Her head turned in my direction at the mention of her name and her face lit up with a bright smile. “How are you feeling now?”
Her face contorted in confusion and yet she replied, “I’m alright, I guess.” She motioned for me to come closer to her.
When I bent closer to her, she wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tightly. “Why am I in hospital? Where is Channie?” her eyes darted around the room.
I opened my mouth to reply her when she interrupted me. “Oh! Channie, you are there? Come here,” she asked him to come closer to her as if they didn’t have a huge fight a month earlier. My eyes widened at her question and I also got confused by her weird behavior.
Chunji hyung walked hesitatingly towards us with Sang Ki still sleeping in his arms. As soon as he reached us, her eyes got all sparkly. “Who’s baby is that? A boy or a girl?”
Chunji hyung's and my eyes widened in shock. Before neither of us could recover from the initial shock, the door opened and Ho Seok walked in, followed by Hyun Su and Sanghyun.
“Su-ah! Sanghyun-ah! My darling babies! Come here.” She motioned them to give her an embrace.
The two guys looked at each other before slowly walking towards her and gave her a light embrace. “When did you both grow up so big?”
“Noona?” Hyun Su called out to her softly.
Ho Seok walked towards us and stood beside me. He looked confused as well and we can’t blame him since he just entered the scene. He asked something to Jin Kyong to which she questioned me whether he is a doctor.
Ho Seok quickly rushed out of the room to get the doctor while we stood still, wondering what was wrong with her. “Channie-ah, are you alright? You look pale like you just saw a ghost or something.”
He got out of his frozen state and tried to come up with some excuse. “Anyway, give the baby here.”
We let out a sigh thinking that she finally had enough of her play and is now back to her real self. She took the baby into her hand and gazed at him with pure excitement.
She peeled off the towel wrapped around Sang Ki a little and peeped in. “Ah! He’s a boy.” She wrapped him properly again. “If I don’t know you better, I would say he is your son, Channie. He looks so much like you.”
She smiled brightly at Sang Ki in her arms and then at Chunji hyung. “What is his name?”
“Lee Sang Ki,” I replied.
“Ah, Sang Ki? Such a cute name for a cute boy.”
The doctor entered the room that moment, and things got chaotic after that. When we tried to tell Jin Kyong that Sang Ki is her son, she turned hysteric and refused to agree with it.
Hearing the commotion, the sleeping Sang Ki woke up and started wailing. I took him into my arms and moved away from the chaotic scene and tried pacifying him.
One of the nurse informed me that Sang Ki is crying from hunger and has to be fed, which in our c
