I sat on the bench at the front of the hotel and sighed. Anna, you’re driving me insane. I don’t understand how a girl like her was ever hurt that badly by another person. I don’t understand how to fix her broken heart… I don’t know what to do to help her heal and trust again. Her heart is as pure as gold. There’s so much love inside her. There’s so much good in her, but I don’t think she realizes it. Whoever broke her heart was an idiot… but because of that idiot, she found her way to me. I look up at the stars and smile. So… thank you. Thanks for letting her find her way to me. I won’t lose her.

I walked into the hotel with a big smile on my face, happily skipping to the elevators.

*beep beep*

I miss you. Come back home.

My heart stopped. This can’t be him. This can’t be. I refuse. I won’t let this happen again.

I closed my hotel room’s door and pressed my back against the wooden frame. I slowly sunk to the ground and wrapped my arms around my knees. Don’t come back for me. I was doing fine without you. I’ll still do fine without you… A million thoughts started crossing my mind, all at the same time. I wonder if I can ever like Mark the way he likes me… I wonder if I can look at him the same way he looks at me... I want to… I really do… But I’m so scared…
