Inhye paused, she glanced at Kai’s hand on her waist before looking at the car again.

“Y—Youngjae-yah.” She blurted, the man behind the wheel smiled.

“It’s been a while, doc.”

Inhye smiled lightly.

“How have you been doing?” She asked.

“I just came back, you?”

“Just the same, we have to go.” Inhye nodded.

“Arasso, then…I’ll see you later.”

“Geurae.” Inhye said before pulling Kai with her.

“So, can I ask who was that?” Kai asked as they entered the mart.

“A friend from the past.”

“Blast from the past?” Kai smiled, noticing her slight discomfort.

“We’re here to get cucumbers, KimSan.”

Kai smiled before following her.

“Don’t you have a shift today?” He asked as Inhye reached for a basket.

“Ani, today’s my off~” Kai got the basket from her and gestured her to walk.

“Ah, right, your abeoji’s going to be released next week. Congratulations.” Inhye smiled before turning away.

Kai watched as she headed for the vegetable section, he shook his head.

Luhan chuckled as Inhye spoke with the elderly lady patiently. A good surgeon? Sure she was one. Relaxed under pressure? Yes she’s like that.

Inhye rushed to the office to change, she had to drop by JeGuk office. She was clad in her jeans and a sweater as she walked to the lobby.

“You…don’t look so well.” Kai’s eyes narrowed slightly as they stepped out of the hospital, he playfully tugged on a lock of her hair.

“Who was that person?” Kai asked gently.

“Just…someone, are you here to visit your dad?”

Kai nodded and pushed his hands in his pockets.

“Then, go on in, sorry I~”

“It’s okay, are you craving something today?” Kai asked.

“Arasso, I’ll wait for you by the park tonight.” Kai grinned before poking her cheek, then he left.

Inhye smiled as she watched him jog to the hospital’s entrance.

Inhye stepped out from her car, then she stopped.

“Oppa? I could have gone up~”

Siwon shook his head at her.

“I was called for a sudden meeting, I have to fly to Japan.”

Inhye noticed her brother’s secretary getting inside the car, speaking with the driver.

“We’ll talk when I get back, take care. Call Khun.” Siwon smiled before heading to the car himself.

“Huh.” Inhye shook her head and took out her phone.

Inhye arrived at the condominium’s lobby and stepped out, she was dressed simply in a pair of shorts, a loose top and a beanie.

“Last time we rode a cab to eat rice cakes, can we take the car now?” Kai walked to her, still clad in his business suit.

“Bus?” Inhye haggled, Kai sighed.

“Just give it a try, Kai, it’s fun.”

“But you have a car, I have a car, what’s the reason~”

Inhye slapped his shoulder playfully before crossing the street.

“Did Siwon hyung and Khun hyung spoil you too much?” He called, Inhye just chuckled.

“You should be thankful, Kim Jongin, I don’t talk to strangers.”

Kai smiled and took off his coat and slipped it around her.

“Before you get a cold, Inhye, let’s just get inside the car, no bus for today.”
