“Hey Princess.” Kris called out to Jihyun and she was surprised with what Kris called her. She even got cold chills upon hearing the tall guy calling her with the title Princess. Is it possible that he knows or was it just a pet name he used to Jihyun back then? She doesn’t know. She looked at Kris’ eyes just to confirm her thoughts but it seems like no one can read him. Not even her.

She then felt Luhan pulling her closer to him by the waist. “Yah, don’t use my pet name for my Princess!” Luhan whined and Kris darkly chuckled. “Sure, my Prince.” Luhan glared at Kris for even calling him by his title in the demon world. “Yah Wu Yi Fan, leave right now. I don’t want your presence here.” Luhan said, obviously warning Kris of his actions. He can’t tell Jihyun who is he. She can’t know what he is, because by then, Jihyun will do anything to leave him. Jihyun will be disgusted by him and his race and no, he can’t risk seeing Jihyun’s eyes filled with disgust and fear. He can’t risk her leaving him.

“Well, sorry but I can’t. You have a message from your father.” Luhan, as well as Jihyun’s ears, perked up upon hearing Kris’ ‘purpose’ of being there. Luhan was half-heartedly happy that for years, he’ll be able to have contact with his father but on the other hand, he’s not really interested because it might be just some short conversation regarding his mission as a Prince. “Do I really have to go there now?” Kris nodded and Luhan ruffled his hair and kissed Jihyun’s temple. “I don’t want to leave you just yet.”

“It’s fine, oppa. My brother must be looking for me as well so I have to go back now.” Jihyun said before she watches Luhan stood up and reached out his hand for Jihyun to hold. “Thanks.” She felt a soft peck on her left cheek and looked at Luhan who was only grinning at her. “I love you, Jihyun-ah.” Luhan said, cupping her cheek with his hand.

She was taken aback with what Luhan said. She sure heard him say ‘I love you’ since early in the afternoon during his tantrums but it was a different case from this. Right now, the atmosphere was peace, calming…it was different from earlier and when she heard Luhan say those three words again, she didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know if she should tell him ‘I love you’ back but if she did, she might be lying to him and herself. She was confused to her feelings for him, considering that both are from different worlds with the same mission.

Luhan waited for Jihyun to say those three precious words back at him but to his dismay, she didn’t. Instead, she just smiled and waved at him as if she’s telling him to go away. “I’ll be going, oppa. Bye.”
