Luhan grabbed Jihyun to a street where there are full of food stalls. They had eaten different foods in just a span of thirty minutes and Jihyun can’t help it but to produce a burp. She was more than full and Luhan chuckled by her cuteness.

And Luhan, in those thirty minutes of eating with Jihyun, found himself sincerely smiling and laughing once again. He felt no burden of being a soon-to-be-a-demon king when he’s with her. With her, he didn’t have to worry about carrying the title of a Demon Prince.

“Yah Luhannie, you’re not opening your mouth.” She pouted and ate the dukbokki she was supposed to pop into his mouth. He didn’t say anything but smiled at her as he noticed the sauce on the corner of his lips. He reached out his hand to the corner of to wipe the sauce off but instead, he leaned towards her. He wanted to taste her lips but he stopped when he felt her stiffen.

He heard her cries of ‘no’ and the questions in her head of ‘what will he do?’

She was uneasy.

She was not ready.

She didn’t want him to kiss her.

And he won’t push it through if she didn’t want any of it. So, instead, he wiped the sauce on the corner of —which is what he really intended to do from the very start—and backed away. “I—I didn’t mean to scare you…” He said, almost a whisper and it suddenly got awkward between them.

Well, Luhan should thank his phone for ringing in that moment. He didn’t need to think twice of picking it up. He just needed to escape from that awkward moment between them. “What? What happened to my mother?” And when the person on the other line told him what happened, he dropped his phone.

His mother…the woman who took care of him from he was just a fetus up until now…the woman who gave him a love of both a mother and a father should give…His beloved mother…

…she’s gone.

After running and running…finally, Baekhyun found his angel. But she wasn’t alone…she’s with him.
