Henry’s POV

            “ANGELA! Where’s Zee!? Is she alright? Was there any serious injuries or…or…or…” I shouted panicking when I got to Zee’s apartment.

I got a call from Angela earlier saying that something happened to my cousin. When I kept asking what happened she told me some crazy sasaeng fans attacked her and that she fainted.

I didn’t ask any more and rushed here from the company.

            “will you relax? You look like some squirrel that got chased by a cat.” Instead of Angela answering me, it was someone that’s so unwelcome in my sight.

            “Heejong? What are you doing here? Weren’t you in California or something?”

            “nah, I’m back. Cali’s been pretty boring so I came back to make you lives a living hell since that’s what I’m good at.” He said airily standing up from the couch. He then swayed like an idiot while walking towards me. “and it’s VOID chipmunk.” He said poking my forehead.

I frowned at him while rubbing the spot he just poked me on.

I started towards my cousin’s room when Void flung his arms out to stop me.

            “I wouldn’t go in there if I were you.” He warned.

            “and why not?” I glared.

            “the crazy foreign chick is changing your cousin’s clothes and probably cleaning her up too.” He said shoving his hands into his pockets. “you wouldn’t want to see that, would you?”

            “crazy foreign chick?” I thought for a bit. “You mean Angela?”

            “oh so that’s her name.” he nodded and from the looks of it, it seems like Void is up to something.

            “wait a second how come you seem to be calm about all of this? and what do you know?” I demanded.

I followed Void when he walked back to the living room and sat down the couch.

            “well! I, my friend, happen to be the hero of the day.” He said proudly and crossed his legs while putting both of his hands behind his head.

            “you mean you brought Zee here?”

            “not only that!” he said sounding like one of those guys on home shopping network saying ‘wait! There’s more!’

            “what?”

            “I actually stopped those crazy es from ganging up on your cousin.”

            “you did?” I sounded doubtful.

            “yep!” he said with a pop.

I stared at him.

            “why?”

            “your question hurt me, dude. I do care about my friends, you know.”

I stared at him waiting to get the truth from him.

            “really…”

            “oh sure! I thought a group of chicks were fighting over me so I thought of taking a little bit of responsibility.” He said with heavy sarcasm. “spare me some trust here.”

            “ok fine fine! Thanks for saving her.” I breathed heavily and sat down on the couch.

            “how about a sandwich instead of an apology?”

            “bwoh?” I said incredulously.

            “go make me a sandwich. I haven’t eat a decent meal since last night you know.” He said pushing me off the couch.

            “Henry? Is that you?” saved by Angela!

I almost jumped up and ran towards Zee’s room.

            “how is she?” I asked trying to peak in.

            “she woke up when we got here and I gave her some medicine but her fever is still not going down.” She said the look of worry in her face.

I sighed.

            “can you tell me exactly what happened?”

            “I don’t really know what happened exactly. I went out coz I thought I heard some shouting that’s when I saw this guy running towards a group of girls. They looked like they were ganging up on someone and when the guy was shoving the girls away I realized it was Zee and rand towards her.”

I crossed my arms and thought about it. There will be a big trouble if Heechul hyung will find out about this.

            “have you told Heechul hyung yet?”

            “no, I was about to when Zee stopped me. She made me promise not to tell oppa.” She sighed and glanced at Zee.

Hyung was lying beside Zee and he looked like he won’t be leaving anytime soon. Zee was deeply asleep with a towel on her forehead.

            “it’s so typical of her.”

            “yeah, and then that guy carried Zee to his car and drove us home.” Angela said finishing her explanation.

            “you could call me Void instead of ‘that guy’ you know.” Void said greasily from behind me. I turned around and saw him leaning on the wall and winked at Angela who made a face of disgust.

            “I thought you said your name was Heejong?” Angela said frowning.

            “and that IS my name. but I’m more known as Void.” He grinned. “of course you can also call me yours and I can call you mine.”

A shiver literally run down my spine with how cheesy that line was.

            “I never knew a very disgusting pick up line could ever come out that mouth of yours Void.”  I said shaking my head. Angela was already making gagging gestures.

            “stop ruining my ing swag, bro! doing my moves here.” He said hitting my arm…hard.

            “swag? You call that swag? I’ve seen 4 year olds who can do better than you.” Angela scoffed.

Void walked towards Angela until they were so close that their nose almost touched. Angela calmly took a step backward. With her background personal space is a must.

            “a little info about me, new girl. I, Void, invented swag…” I rolled my eyes.

            “So you’re gay?” Angela said innocently.

            “bwoh!?” Void and I suddenly shouted in surprise.

            “well, didn’t you know swag stands for ‘secretly we are gay’?” we both paused for a moment blinking.

I burst into fits of laughter while Void turned red. He was shouting in Korean at Angela who was looking surprised by his outburst.

            “nice one, Angela!” I said when I finally caught my breath.

            “huh? Nice what? that’s what people told me when I asked them what it meant.” She obviously didn’t know. “and what is he saying?”

she asked pointing at Void who was going wild.

            “errr…trust me you wouldn’t want to know.” In between the profanities he’s been shouting there were also threats.

If he’ll carry out his revenge plan Kyuhyun hyung will definitely rip him apart. Not that he can do much if Void fights back.

            “oh off, Henry!” he said stalking to the kitchen, obviously to raid the fridge.

            “he is one weird being, that one.” Angela commented.

            “you’re still wondering? He is Heechul hyung’s brother after all.” I laughed. Angela looked like she realized it and nodded.

KBS 5pm

Heechul’s POV

We just finished our performance and it was, well, better than what we expected.

            “hyung, sorry if I made mistakes, but hey we pulled it off, didn’t we?!” Hongki cheered and put an arm around me.

the camera was still pointed at us so the least I should still do something for the viewers.

            “yah, you don’t sound that confident yourself.” I teased. “Let’s go sing at a norebang after this ok?”

            “eh?” He laughed and we both went back to the waiting room with the other singers and MCs.

I unconsciously reached for the necklace Zee gave me on my neck and remembered she still hasn’t called me. I wonder if she deliberately stayed at the hotel for some reason again.

I took out my phone to check if Zee had already called but nothing. It’s already 2pm and she still hasn’t called. I tried to call her before I went inside the room since the camera was already gone; I frowned when she didn’t answer her phone.

The cheering and teasing started as soon as we got back in; they all knew how nervous we were before we got on stage so they can’t obviously help it.

When 2PM’s Junsu was preparing for his stage Gura hyung turned his attention to me.

            “Heechul-ah, didn’t you reveal your relationship status recently?” he asked. Everyone in the room was looking intently at me, except for Hongki.

            “ah ne, I did.” I smiled waiting for Gura hyung’s sharp comments.

            “wasn’t it hard for you, hyung?” G.O. asked.

            “G.O.-ah, it will be much harder for the girl. Having Heechul-ssi as a boyfriend must’ve been very difficult for her.” DongYup hyung joked and everyone laughed.

            “so is she here today?” Gura hyung asked.

            “ah no, she isn’t. She’s busy with work.”

            “oh? What kind of work?” Gura hyung pressed on. Yeesh! I knew he wouldn’t just stop at that.

            “family business. There are only a few staffs since it’s still new so she usually works overtime.” Hopefully that explanation ends some curiosity.

            “ohhh…if she’s busy and you’re busy, you two usually don’t get to meet then?” DongYup hyung asked.

            “if I have some vacant time I drop by at her work and we call each other often as well.” they all made ‘ahs’ so I guess that’ll be enough.

            “Hongki-ssi, you’re pretty close with Heechul right?” Gura hyung suddenly turned to Hongki who jumped in surprise.

            “ah yeh yeh.”

            “so you’ve met his girl?” he asked again trying to hide his laughter.

            “ah…” he looked nervously at me but smiled anyway. “I have.”

            “is she pretty? What is she like?” one of the sunbaes asked curiously. I kept my shaking head down while laughing a bit at this interrogation. The hyungs kept on the parade of teasings.

            “noemu yeppeo! I met her even before they started dating and she’s really nice. But she also doesn’t always listen to hyung.” Hongki answered and everyone burst into laughter.

            “yah, who told you to reveal my lovelife?” I hit Hongki’s arm lightly. “want me to reveal yours?” I threatened halfheartedly.

            “aniyo, hyung.” he said panicking a little.

            “so in short Heechul finally found his match?” Gura hyung said laughing with the others.

            “ne…” Hongki answered seriously.”

            “yah!” I shouted and everybody laughed.

They didn’t get to drill me more since Junsu’s performance had already started and then everybody got preoccupied for the last performance. By the time it ended it was already 6. We didn’t stay for the results, the guests that is, and went home after. Hongki told me he’d call after the results will be announced.

As I walked to the car with my manager I took out my phone to call her apartment. No use calling her handphone if she won’t answer.

            “you have reached Zee’s residence, this is the amazingly handsome and y Void speaking how may I sweep you off your feet?” I felt the blood rushing to my face as soon as I heard my brother’s voice.

            “VOID?! What the hell are you doing there!?” I shouted as soon as I got into the car.

            “oh hi hyung!” he said in a cheery voice.

            “don’t ‘hi hyung’ me. what.are.you.doing.there?!” I said pausing menacingly at each word.

            “I’m baby-sitting.” He replied in a matter-of-fact voice.

            “baby-sitting who?”

            “who else is sick around here? It’s your girlfriend of course. Duh!”

my mind went blank and I asked manager hyung to go straight to the dorm. I don’t have any more schedules today anyway so I’m good.

            “don’t you dare move an inch. I’m coming.”

            “oh sure… I’m helping myself to the grub here. Their fridge here is full with goodies you know. Unlike in your dorm all I can see is ready to eat stuff. See yah!” he replied, unthreatened then hung up.

Wait till I get my hands on that brother of mine.

It’s still some time before I can get to the dorm and the others still have schedules.

            “hyung, do you know if Kyuhyun still have schedules today?” I asked.

Hyung thought for a while before answering.

            “I think it ended about 30 minutes ago. Why?”

            “oh good. I need him to get home fast.”

I called Kyuhyun and he said he’s only 10 minutes away from the dorm. He wasn’t too happy when I told him Void is back but at least he agreed to stay at Zee’s for a while before I get there.

It took me more than an hour to get to the dorm because of the traffic. I stalked off the car and to the elevator, my hands already tingling to strangle my brother.

As soon as I entered loud voices greeted me, the loudest of which was Kyuhyun’s angry voice.

What did my brother do now?

            “what’s got your in a knot, Cho? I’m just greeting my girl over there.” I could already imagine Void’s leer.

I could only think of only one who could get Kyuhyun get that worked up.

He must’ve targeted Angela.

True enough, Angela was hiding behind Kyu while the latter was glaring at Void who was not threatened at all.

            “your girl? You better check again coz she’s mine!” Kyuhyun snarled back.

            “yours? You must be kidding, the last I knew about your love life you were still head over heels over that Chinese chick.” Void snorted.

            “that was months ago and things change.” Kyuhyun said flatly. I saw him grab Angela’s hand from behind him.

            “like I’d believe you. You couldn’t get a ing girl if your life depended on it.” Void scoffed. Then he caught sight of me standing by the entryway. “hey bro! how ya doin’?” he greeted arms wide open but didn’t walk to me. yeah like he’d actually hug me.

            “not in the mood, Void. Better give me a very good explanation why you’re here or I’m kicking you out.” I threatened and walked towards him.

            “yeesh! And I thought getting a girl would improve your temper. Speaking of girls…” he said putting an arm around me then faced Kyuhyun and Angela. Somehow, she looks more relaxed now that I’m here to keep my brother away from her. “is she really Kyuhyun’s girl?”

            “yes, so stop harassing her.” I replied flatly. Void looked disappointed.

            “aww man!” he stomped then as quickly as he got disappointed his expression changed to his usual crazy self. “anyway still a lot of y females out there waiting for Void’s awesome lovin’.”

Kyuhyun and I made gagging gestures.

            “where’s Zee?” I asked Angela.

            “she’s inside. She still hasn’t woken up since she got home. I just put a towel over her forehead to help lowering her fever.” she answered. I nodded and walked towards her room.

Void’s arm stopped me from entering.

            “what?”

            “got some dough, hyung? craving for some chicken and they’re all out.” Void said.

            “since when did you have to ask? Don’t you usually just steal my wallet and go?” I looked at him suspiciously.

            “oh right!” he exclaimed then yanked my wallet from my back pocket and looked at Angela. Kyuhyun instinctively put an arm in front of his girl.

            “hey Angela, if you think of dumping this idiot over here, call me.” he winked then kissed his thumb before pressing it on Angela’s lips.

            “YAH!” Kyuhyun shouted and ran after Void who bolted right after he did it.

            “Sometimes I wish he wasn’t my brother.” I shook my head at Angela who was standing there in shock.

I walked inside Zee’s room and the only light was from the lampshade beside her bed. Hyung’s head popped up from beside her and I heard him whimper. I his head and he wagged his tail. I know he’s worried for his master. Then he jumped off the bed and walked out the door.

I sat down on her bed and felt her cheek with the back of my hand. It’s still a bit hot but at least she’s sleeping it off. I took the towel and dipped it in the water then squeezed it before putting it on her forehead.

She stirred a bit and opened her eyes. She smiled weakly when she saw me.

            “hey…” she said in a very hoarse voice. That got me worried, she wasn’t like this earlier.

            “hey yourself. You overwork yourself too much, look what happened.”

            “I know, no need to be all naggy.” She turned to her right and curled herself a bit.

            “I guess you got worse when Void became your babysitter.” I joked.

            “no, actually helped me a lot today.” she said closed her eyes.

            “by what? Helping you clean your fridge?”

            “you’re so doubtful of your brother. He’s so much like you.”

            “so much like me?! oh hell no!” she must be sicker than I thought if she can actually say that.

            “I meant you both put on this façade but when actually you’re like little kids on the inside and actually cares for people.” She smiled. Her pale lips didn’t comfort me.

I held her hand letting our fingers get tangled.

            “you sure you’re ok?” I asked worriedly. Her hands are really warm.

            “yeah…you’re here now.” she answered in a very low voice then snuggled my arm. “don’t be such a worrywart.”

My phone rang at that moment and I took it out.

            “who is it?” she asked.

            “it’s Hongki, must be calling for the results.” I said quickly and answered the phone. “yeoboseyo?”

            “hyung, we got first.” He said in a serious voice.

            “Hongki-ah, I’m in no mood for jokes right now.”

            “really hyung! we got first!”

            “bwo?!” I couldn’t hide my shock; I was too stunned that I could only laugh. “the world is really funny.”

After congratulating each other I hung up. I noticed Zee had already sat up.

            “you guys won, didn’t you?” she asked grinning widely.

            “yeah, we did.” I smiled back. She laughed, even with her hoarse voice it still made me happy.

            “I knew you two could do it! congratulations!” she clapped then hugged me. I hugged her back and kissed her cheek.

            “thanks, have you eaten?” I asked when we let go.

            “no, I just woke up remember?” I grinned at that. She sounds so much better like herself.

            “I’ll take a look at what Void didn’t eat in your fridge.” I stood up but before I could walk to the door, Angela’s head popped in.

            “hey, you’re up. I was thinking of asking oppa to wake you up so you could eat.”

            “no need to do that, I’m already up.” Zee smiled.

Angela came in with a tray.

            “Void bought some pumpkin porridge for you.” She said and put the tray down her bedside table after I put the basin on the floor.

            “Void? You mean my brother?” I asked dubious that he’d actually do something like this.

            “yes, he came back a few minutes ago with this and some chicken. He also asked me to give this to you.” She handed me my wallet, which I assume is empty of the bills I had.

            “send my thanks to him, Angela. Thank you.”

            “no problem. Will tell him after his and Kyuhyun’s intense StarCraft battle.” She walked out and closed the door.

I took the tray to my lap and started to mix everything.

            “I think someone nice possessed my brother.”

            “oh, don’t be too hard on him.”

            “what? I can’t help it if this is new to me.” I said blowing a spoonful for Zee.

            “we both know you knew there’s some niceness inside of him. You’re just to proud to admit it.” she stuck her tongue at me. I frowned.

            “whatever, now eat.” I gestured at the spoon I held. She frowned at me this time.

            “yah, don’t treat me like an invalid, I can use my hands you know. Give me the tray.” She said irritably.

Didn’t try to argue since she will never eat if I feed her.

We talked while she ate. She couldn’t eat fast because she was still obviously weak; I occasionally see her shaking a bit.

            “yah, don’t to work yet tomorrow ok?” I said when she finally finished the porridge.

She looked at me intently almost glaring. Her expressions and reactions lately have been confusing me a lot. I don’t know what’s going through her mind.

            “ok.” She said when I was about to ask her why she was looking like that.

That kind of surprised me. I was expecting a bit of arguing but nothing.

She took her medicine and water from the table and drank it. She now looks quite sleepy again.

            “now you better go to sleep, the sooner your fever goes the better.” I said.

She wriggled down and yanked her covers to her chest.

            “thanks for coming, Heechul-ah.” She smiled.

            “you better get well soon or else you wont get to see our comeback.” I teased.

            “your comeback is not until next month.” She laughed.

            “it’s not like you wont watch our rehearsals right?” I smiled and kissed her forehead then I stood up to leave.

Zee’s hand suddenly held my wrist. I looked at her; her eyes were already drooping. I guess the medicine she took finally took effect.

            “stay…please?” she whispered.

            “yah, how can a guy stay in a girl’s room all night?” I said in a low voice when I sat back down.

She didn’t answer; she just hugged my arm and drifted off to sleep. I just smiled to myself looking at her sleeping.

I’ll just stay until she’s really asleep.

Next Day

Eunhyuk’s POV

Leeteuk hyung is at it again, asking errands like this. If Heechul hyung is here then I’m going to be dead.

He could’ve asked Kyuhyun to come here but I think Kyu didn’t want to see Void again so asked me to be the sacrificial lamb this time.

I didn’t use the elevator since Zee’s place is just a floor down and besides I need the exercise. As I was about to turn a corner I heard Henry and Angela’s voices.

            “should we really not tell him, Henry? I mean Zee’s safety is at stake here.” Angela said sounding worried. She must just be going to work. And are they talking about what I think it’s about?

            “Zee said we shouldn’t, I know you’re worried, Angela, I am too but she just doesn’t want Heechul hyung worried. The least we could do now is to look out for her.” Henry replied.

            “just remembering the attack yesterday still gives me shivers. If Void didn’t arrive on time I don’t know what could’ve happened. When I changed her shirt yesterday there were already bruises.” Angela sounded a bit panicked now.

bruises?! What the hell happened yesterday? Did hyung’s sasaengs do something really awful to Zee?  And what Void got involved?

            “Zee knows what she’s doing, let’s just try to keep this from hyung and let Zee tell him when the time is right.”

            “let’s just hope it’s not too late by then.” Angela replied and I heard the elevator door open and they both got in.

my heart is thumping really fast. I didn’t expect it to be this worse.

I walked towards Zee’s place and rang the doorbell. Void opened the door a few minutes later with his hair all disheveled.

            “oh, hi Eunhyuk hyung.” he said sleepily and walked back inside.

            “is your brother still here?” I asked.

Void just grunted something and pointed to Zee’s room. He flopped down the couch and started to snore again. It was then I realized he was wearing his pajamas. Is he staying here!?

No time to ask. I need to do I came here for.

I raised my hand to knock then I realized hyung and Zee are in there.

Seolma!?

They couldn’t have done..IT…could they? No!no!no!

From what I heard Zee is sick. Right! hyung wouldn’t…

would he?

Argh!!!!

I jumped when Zee’s dog growled from behind me and I clutched my chest with my back against the wall. If I didn’t know dogs couldn’t read minds I’d probably think this dog does. He huffed at me and jumped at the door, his paw glanced down the horizontal doorknob and the door opened.

Heechul hyung was sitting on the floor with his head on the bed and his hand holding Zee’s. both were still fast asleep and I just couldn’t bring myself to wake them up. I just texted Leeteuk hyung to come down here and wake Heechul hyung up himself.

I’ve never seen hyung like this.

Looking at him this way makes me sure that his feeling for Zee is not normal. And if he finds out about the sasaeng fans…I don’t even want to think about it.

I just hope nothing even worse will happen to Zee.

guys so sorry if i couldnt update this story..had a very busy week plus the lost of inspiration..:( but here's the new one.. i'm already thinking of the next update and if you feel it's a bit rushed so sorry..so i hope you like this one..
