Zee’s POV

            “Henry, what in the world is going on here?” I gave my dear cousin a slap on his arm.

First, all I was invited to this weekend trip and now everybody is asked, well, required to perform for a showcase! I mean, WTF!?

            “calm down, Zee, I’m as clueless as you are. And you heard it a while ago, it was just announced today no one knew about it. It’s also even possible that Kangta hyung just decided about it today. So chill.” Henry explained trying to calm me down.

            “yah! Don’t try and say that I should chill, what am I supposed to do? And in case you didn’t notice I’m surrounded by seasoned performers here!”

            “aren’t you a musician yourself? You rock the violin and drums, Zee.” Henry wriggled his eyebrows at me.

You know sometimes I ask myself why Henry and I get along so well when most of the time our minds work so differently.

            “you must be crazy if you honestly think I’m going to perform tonight.” I said hands on my hips. We were actually arguing on the second floor balcony since the slopes and lobby were full of practicing idols. They can get pretty loud, good thing that they got this place all to themselves.

            “c’mon, Zee, this is just for fun. It’s really been a long time since we all got together like this. Please!” Henry pouted as he begged.

You really can’t imagine how Henry can be cute. Most of his fans can’t resist his cuteness but being his cousin I’m already immune, why do you think I can resist the aegyo prince Sungmin?

            “I will do it on one condition.” I said putting up a finger. I can’t be a party pooper and mess their fun right? I’m not that irrational.

            “ok what is it?”

            “you have to perform with me.”

            “is that it?” Henry grinned.

            “yes, you brought your violin with you right? of course you did, you never go anywhere without it.” I blabbed answering my own question. “I can use your violin and you will play the piano.”

            “no problem! It’s all set then?”

            “I guess so. The question now is what will we play?” I asked.

Henry and I have performed together countless of times but we did so many pieces that it’s kind of confusing as to what we will perform.

Henry thought for a while with 2 fingers on his chin, his lips pouted slightly.

A few minutes later he snapped his fingers.

            “I know! How about that song you composed for your brother in law’s proposal?”

I raised an eyebrow at him, I did make a song for my brother in law when he proposed to my sister and Henry did play the piano on that one but why that song?

            “why that one?”

            “well, it’s perfect! We played that one during winter right? so it fits the setting here plus its very relaxing.”

I rolled my eyes at him.

            “fine, you still remember it right?” I asked, we have so little time to remember everything you know since that was years ago.

            “Zee, we’re both alike, once we play and memorized something we can’t ever forget it.” He said proudly. It’s actually true.

            “fine! c’mon, lets practice now then.” I dragged a stumbling Henry to the resort’s mini ballroom where a grand piano was placed.

Heechul’s POV

I seriously am wondering what came over Kangta hyung that he suddenly thought of this showcase business. I suppose it could be fun, or he may be trying to pull up an evil plan, Hee Jun hyung could’ve become an influence to him after all those years.

            “Donghae-ah, stop rolling on the bed you’re making me dizzy.” Zhou Mi complained as Donghae rolled around Siwon’s bed.

Donghae, Zhou Mi and Kyuhyun were hanging out in our room right now, I don’t know why actually.

Siwon was back to reading his book while ZhouMi and Kyuhyun were looking over some music sheets they were planning to sing in tonight’s showcase. And yes it’s in Mandarin.

            “Siwon-ah, aren’t you going to practice your performance for tonight?” I asked Siwon. I was also lazing around my bed tinkering with my phone, checking out twitter. What? I gotta update the fans about what we’re doing. Tons were already laughing on the picture I posted in that snowball fight earlier.

            “I’m playing with TRAX tonight so I’m pretty much fixed. They said they’ll text me when the mini ballroom is free.” He calmly replied putting down his book and sat at the edge of my bed.

            “how about you hyung, what are you planning to do tonight?” Siwon asked.

I thought about what I should do ever since Kangta hyung put up that announcement earlier. Everyone would probably expect a crazy performance from me so I though I’d pull out the serious side of me and play the piano and sing.

            “it’s a surprise, you’ll see later. Keke” I sniggered at Siwon who also laughed.

Donghae was now and still rolling around Siwon’s bed. Why was this kid even here anyway? Zhou Mi and Kyuhyun too, what did they take my room for? A lounge or something?

I threw a pillow at the fish.

            “yah! Stop , you fish. What are you doing here anyway? Shouldn’t you be thinking up a plan with the monkey for tonight?”

Donghae sat up wit a pout his shoulders were hunched, I could almost laugh at his face. He looked like a lost kid drenched in rain.

            “he’s going to perform with JinMi tonight. I’m officially alone! EunHae is now over!!! Wah!” Donghae screamed earning ridiculous looks from all of us in the room.

Donghae took the pillow I threw at him and covered his face with it screaming his head off like a little baby.

This kid really is unbelievable; I could only imagine what his future girlfriend would be put through.

            “yah! Why don’t you just find a new partner? How about Henry?” Siwon suggested.

            “I already did ask him, but he said Zee will rip his head off if he will not do it with her.”

Zee and Henry? Will they have a duet?

My train of thought was suddenly put to a halt when dear little Donghae pounced on my bed and stared at me with puppy dog eyes.

            “hyung! Help me!”

            “are you crazy or something? Get off my bed before I’ll kill you.” I said pushing him off my bed. Aish! Seriously this fish!

            “do this song with us then.” Zhou Mi suggested. Handing Donghae the music sheet he was going over with Kyuhyun.

            “yeah, you have been dancing a lot, now it’s time for you to show everyone your guitar skills, play the guitar for us.” Kyuhyun also encouraged Zhou Mi’s idea to the fish.

that maknae is finally putting his evil brain to good use.

            “well, I guess I could do it.”

            “don’t think about it and just do it, kid. Or else I’m going to throw you out the balcony.” I threatened. Donghae will always be a kid no matter how his looks may have matured.

            “fine fine.” Donghae said as he stood up to get his guitar from his room.

We were just talking casually when he came back and started to play it for the two guys, when I noticed Siwon smiling at something he read in his phone.

            “yah, what’s with that smile of yours?” I said grabbing his phone. He quickly scrambled to get it back.

            “hyung! It’s nothing.” He said panicking a bit still trying to get his phone from me while I tried to read the message while getting the phone away from his reach. Aish! Why does this guy have long arms?!

            “your smile means something, dongsaeng.” I smiled evilly at him, he seriously can’t believe that he can actually slip my sharp senses can he? Muhahaha

            “Siwon-ah, is it a girl?” Zhou Mi asked grinning at Siwon.

            “of course it’s a girl, who else can put a smile like that on hyung’s face.” Kyuhyun added. Poor Siwon ganged upon by the evil hyung and the evil maknae.

            “hyung it’s really nothing. Honest!” Siwon exclaimed now trying to wrestle the phone out of my hands.

            “Kyuhyun!” I shouted as I tossed the phone at him.

Siwon’s quick reflexes almost made him catch the phone in mid air but I conveniently climbed on his back making him lose his balance slightly and Kyuhyun caught it in his hands.

            “Read it, maknae!” I shouted as I tried to hold Siwon off, which was of only little help. Well the guy is obviously almost twice my size and has huge muscles to boot.

            “it says, ‘goodluck with tonight, hope you’ll do well. Fighting!’ is this it?” Kyuhyun said looking at the phone then at Siwon who had already successfully thrown me off his back.

            “I told you it was nothing.” Siwon said snatching his phone back from Kyuhyun.

            “oh hoooooo! I get it now, you like her.” Zhou Mi teased. Siwon blushed tomato red before the room erupted into loud teasing.

We kept on teasing Siwon until he couldn’t speak anymore and just laid on my bed and covered his blushing face with my pillow.

            “great! Now everybody has a girl except me!” Donghae complained. I gave him a sharp smack to the head.

            “what do you mean everybody? Do you see anybody here with a girlfriend aside from that monkey of yours?” I said laughing.

            “at the present, no, but in the near future you’re next.” I heard Kyuhyun mutter silently and Zhou Mi snigger at the comment.

            “what did you say?” I shouted at Kyuhyun.

            “nothing, hyung.” He sniggered as he, Dongahe and ZhouMi shared a meaningful look.

            “I think I can have my revenge then!” Siwon shouted victoriously as he suddenly sat up.

Ok, Siwon wriggling his eyebrows is not just a funny sight, it’s also intriguing especially if accompanied by a wicked grin WHICH you don’t often see in saint Siwon’s face.

            “what are you up to?” Donghae asked a bit nervously. Donghae put his guitar down by the couch and backed away from Siwon slowly. He knew that when it came to hand to hand combat no one could defeat Siwon especially when he has a 4^th degree blackbelt in taekwondo.

            “wipe that evil look from your face, that’s MY look.” Kyuhyun piped in obviously irritated that there’s another evil mind in the room.

            “oh I will not be doing anything to you, Heechul hyung will be doing the honor for me.”

It’s official; Choi Siwon has now gone completely insane.

            “and why would I do that?” I said looking at the still grinning Siwon.

            “I know what they’re talking about a while ago hyung.”

Kyuhyun, ZhouMi and Donghae looked at each other and gestured at Siwon to quiet down.

            “and what might that be?” I was now on my feet hands on my hips looking daggers at my dongsaengs who were smiling nervously and were slowly backing away.

            “they were talking about you and Zee getting together in the future.” Siwon finally revealed.

Silence…

            “YOU WHAT?!” I screamed and ran after the three.

Donghae may be fast but so am I especially when I wanna kill someone. I grabbed Donghae and Kyuhyun and had them in a headlock.

            “hyung! Jaebal! Ah! Ah! Apa! Apa!” Donghae moaned and screamed at the same time. Serves him right!

            “it hurts right?! you two deserve it! Zhou Mi! you’re next!” I said as I grabbed the long legged fashionista into a headlock.

Donghae and Kyuhyun were now attacking Siwon…well, they tried to attack Siwon. In a matter of seconds Siwon was sitting on Donghae and he had Kyuhyun’s hands secured behind his [kyuhyun’s] back.

We both high fived at what we accomplished. Woohoo!

            “what is going on here?” a voice by the door asked in surprise.

We turned to look and saw a haggard looking Leeteuk and Yesung at the door.

            “nothing, we’re just…teaching.” I said as Siwon and I exchanged looks. “and I see you two made it out alive?”

if you must ask, they were attacked by the SHINee boys plus Shindong after Kangta hyung’s announcement.

            “barely, now, I need to talk to Zhou Mi so can you please let him go?” Leeteuk requested not in the least bit surprised by our actions now. Keke

            “make me.” I grinned at our precious leader.

            “teukie-hyung! Help!” Zhou Mi screamed trying to wriggle out of my grasp. He may be tall but he’s still scrawny…nyahaha

He just sighed and turned towards Siwon.

            “Siwon-ah, let those two go please, and go play outside.”

            “ne, hyung!” Siwon let the two go and the three ran out still laughing and harassing each other.

Donghae’s POV

We ran out of the room laughing our heads off. Hanging out with these two wasn’t a bad idea after all after my so-called bestfriend ditched me for his girl. Just wait till I get my own girlfriend.

            “hyungs, I’m bored. Wanna go bug someone else?” Kyuhyun said evilly as we went down to the lobby.

We met some of the f(x) girls and Jino along the way, the SHINee boys were still outside playing in the snow.

            “who do you have in mind?” Siwon asked. I wonder when he got into the whole mischief making?

            “I dunno, I was thinking I’d annoy Seohyun today.” Kyuhyun said rubbing his hands in his usual evil gesture.

            “yah, if you keep annoying her and she will definitely cry again like the last time.” I couldn’t help but snort at the memory.

            “hey all I did was call her y. It isn’t my fault she took it the wrong way.”

            “yeah, you called her y when she was dressed in drag.” Siwon muttered and all three of us laughed.

Before anything else she was in drag because she was in disguise okey? A bunch of SONEs stalked her the moment she went out of her dorm so she really didn’t have a choice. But Seohyun has always been Kyuhyun’s favorite prank target since she never fights back and you could almost fool her.

            “you hear that?” I asked the two. We could hear some music coming from the ballroom.

            “it’s coming from there. Let’s check it out!” Kyuhyun said dragging both Siwon and I.

we opened the doors ever so slightly and peeked inside and behold! the sight of the musical prodigy in front of us playing the piano and violin.

            “wah! Zee-ssi is really talented.” I heard Siwon mutter above me.

Siwon was standing, Kyuhyun was crouching and I was kneeling on the floor. You just imagine how us three idiots looked.

            “wanna wreck havoc?” Kyuhyun and his evil plans.

            “no thanks! C’mon let’s look for another target for you. If Zee finds out about us spying on them, she’ll kill us and feed us to her dog!” I said as I objected Kyuhyun’s idea. I still want to live thank you very much. Zee may seem harmless to most people but there’s some great evilness in her.

            “quiet you two or else they will really know we’re here.” Siwon told us off and knocked both of our heads.

            “what are you three doing over there?” a voice suddenly said behind us, it was very creepy that it made the three of us jump and topple down towards the door and well, the sound of…“what the hell-?!” filled our ears. We looked up and saw Zee standing in front of us, hands on her hips.

We looked behind us and saw my good-for-nothing best friend standing there with a shocked and confused expression on his face.

            “What may I ask do you three think you are doing?” Zee said pointing the violin bow in our faces one by one. I felt myself getting cross-eyed for a second.

            “it was his idea!” all three of pointed at each other. Great!

            “hyung, what are you doing here?” Henry asked standing up from the piano. He walked towards us and helped us stand up.

            “nothing, we just heard the music and came to check it out, we were about to leave when the monkey over there scared the living daylights out of us that we toppled in here.” I said jerking a thumb towards the still dumbstruck Eunhyuk at the door.

Zee crossed her arms and scrutinized each on of us. I couldn’t blame her if she wouldn’t believe us; the evil maknae is with us after all.

            “are you sure that’s all?”

            “well, if you count Kyuhyun planning to—“ Siwon started to but was cut off when Kyuhyun covered his mouth to keep him from talking any furthur.

            “will you look at that, it’s getting late and we still have to get ready for tonight. See yah, Zee-ssi, Henry!” Kyuhyun hurriedly said as he dragged Siwon out and me following behind.

I waved at Zee and Henry and I saw Zee roll her eyes and muttered something that sounded like “I can’t believe they’re older than me” and Henry just laughed.

            “yah, what were you doing in there?” the monkey asked finally waking up from his momentary trance. We were all sitting at the lounge chairs now.

            “it’s our little secret.” I answered. He turned to Siwon who gave him the same answer.

            “yah! Tell me, we’re supposed to be Eunsihae!” Eunhyuk stomped his feet, it would be cute and funny if it weren’t for the fact that I was mad at him for ditching me.

            “earth to Eunhyuk hyung, didn’t you know? Eunsihae is over there’s now Kyuwonhae.” Kyuhyun teased the monkey and stuck his tongue out.

Eunhyuk looked dazed for a second before he threw a fit of tantrums, which made the three of us fall to the floor into fits of laughter.

Heechul’s POV

After much arguing, panicking and shouting all of the other artists were now gathered at the ballroom eating dinner. You would’ve thought everyone of us were used to this kind of atmosphere but nooooo… there’s still some screaming of ‘hey where’s my—‘ and ‘what am I going to do?’. It was enough for me to lose my beauty sleep. If this, showcase thing, wont go smoothly I can definitely assure you I’d throw a temper tantrum.

            “oppa, can you please stop glaring at people? If looks could kill they’d seriously be dead by now.” Sunny nudged me with her elbow. I looked at her and stuck my tongue out.

I was not glaring on purpose; I am just bored. Most of us were already finished with dinner so what’s the hold up?

            “hyung, relax! It will start soon enough.” Jungmo said as he tapped my shoulder beforehe turned to talk to Jay and Siwon. I guess they’re talking about some last minute stuff, whoopti-freakin’-do.

I scanned the room, for lack of better things to do, and my gaze fell on SaeMi on the table next to ours. She was chatting away with BoA and Yoona. I swear if those three would get any closer there’d be another group of troublemakers soon.

Hmmm… SaeMi looked good tonight with her long-sleeved, cream, turtleneck sweater. Even if the color made her already pale skin even milkier, it suited her.

I guess I was staring at her much longer than what was normal coz I heard some throat clearing from my table.

            “you all caught a cold or something?” I said as I turned towards them. Kangta hyung, Siwon and Jessica were looking at me with wide grins.

            “oh if this goes on, I’m not the one on this table who’s going to be catching a cold soon.” I never knew Kangta hyung could be this devious, HeeJun hyung must have taught him well.

I guess you could say that they were saved from my retort when the lights dimmed.

Spotlights were then focused on the front of the room and out came the MCs. Why am I not surprised that its Leeteuk and Eunhyuk?

            “good evening to all artists present! I will be your MC for this evening’s showcase, Leeteuk-imnida.” He started to say. I seriously want to tune them out right now.

            “and me, Eunhyuk-imnida. So Leeteuk-ssi, it’s been a long time since all of us gathered like this.” Eunhyuk went on holding a mic in one hand and a fishbowl with papers in the other.

            “that’s right! and what better way to bond in this once in a blue moon gathering but to perform for each other, right? we have here all the performance tonight and we will be picking the order of the presentations. I hope that’s okey with everybody.” Leeteuk started to say as he took the bowl from Eunhyuk. The room voiced out their agreement and some were shouting for them to hurry up.

Wait, did I say some? Ok, it was just me. Lets get this show on the road!

From the moment they started the showcase I tuned all the MC part out by twittering. Good thing most of their gabbing were kept short though.

The first to perform were the Lee brothers, Sungmin and Sungjin with a guitar duet. I didn’t know that little brother of his knew how to play? Oh well, but I gotta say they’re good. They earned quite a few cheers from the ladies; Sungjin especially was blushing like mad.

And to Leeteuk’s misfortune, he picked his own name and had to perform next. He went out for a while to “change” and came back in a bunny costume, which earned quite a lot of laughs in the room when he danced T-ARA’s Bo Peep.

And to a more serious note, Kangta hyung and BoA were next with a duet, I gotta it was hands down epic. No less than what you would’ve expected from one of the best talents from the company. F(x) were next with a song they made that had never made it into their albums, it was really nice and I hope they could release it soon. If I heard it right, amidst the cheers and screams from the crowd, which almost drowned Eunhyuk’s announcement, the title was “Keep It Up”.

Next were the SHINee boys with Jino, they were wearing the most colorful clothes, not surprising but I guess they put on the most colorful clothes they could find and had Key do the styling. Poor Jino must’ve been Key’s human expertiment for the night…kekeke after the music started they all danced to HOT’s Candy. I looked at Kangta hyung and he was in fits of laughter. He was laughing all the way to the end. Poor man, must be out of his mind; so young to go insane. Tsk!

            “hyung! you’re next!” I turned and saw the shibrows in action. Siwon was motioning me to go up to the front now.

I stood up automatically of course, this is easy, and I’ve done this kind of thing hundreds of times. It practically wasn’t new.

I went up front and dragged the mic stand towards the piano before I sat.

            “you all must’ve expected me to do something extremely crazy tonight didn’t you?haha” I heard a laughing response from the audience. With the lights all fixed towards me I couldn’t see the other clearly. I think that’s better so I wouldn’t get distracted. “I decided something different might be better for a change. Here goes!”

I let my fingers do the work, sliding through the piano with ease. Then I started to sing an old song, one of the soundtracks from winter sonata. It was something I’ve already performed before so I thought it would be easy for me…enk!wrong! when I glanced at the crowd I don’t know why but I could make out SaeMi’s face. She was looking at me with an unreadable expression and I almost screwed up.

Aish!i am Kim Heechul and I am not this clumsy. Why is it that she has this effect on me?

Even with my preoccupied mind I still nailed my performance. How? I’m freaking Kim Heechul! Everyone clapped and cheered yaddi yaddi yadda...but I could not look at SaeMi as I walked back to my seat.

            “nice! I didn’t know you had a serious bone in your body, oppa.” Sunny greeted as I reached our table.

            “tch! That’s because I’m unpredictable and a genius.” I grinned. I sat down and drank some water. I almost choked when Leeteuk announced it was Henry and SaeMi next.

I wasn’t trying to drown out everything at that moment but you know that feeling that everything just suddenly went quiet and you could only see one person? Yeah that’s what I’m freaking feeling and I am not sure as hell I liked it.

Henry sat at piano seat and cracked his fingers while SaeMi leaned on the tall stool.

            “this song we’re about to play is composed by none other than my amazing cousin, Zee, for her brother –in-law’s proposal.” Henry introduced by the piano seat, he was grinning so much that he really looked like hamster whose mouth was full with peanuts.

            “don’t mind him. So anyway, we hope all of you would like this, this piece is entitled “Love’s Whisper”

my world literally stopped at that moment. This was the only the second time I’ve seen her play but it wasn’t the same from the first one. I cannot stop looking at her.

That song, argh! I might be overreacting but it seems like it’s calling out to me. I’m not overreacting! I’m going crazy! Nooo! I’m too young to be going mad! Every note and her every movement seemed to be calling out to me. This can only mean two things: either I am going insane, which I sincerely hope not, I’m still too young and pretty to go, or I li…grrr…I like…ahhh! Ilikeher! Hoo! i…like…her. Nooooo!

I snuck a glance at Kangta hyung…wrong move! He was looking at me grinning with a look that clearly says ‘pay up, dongsaeng!’

I groaned at my misery. This can’t be happening to me!

BoA’s POV

After the showcase we all went back to our rooms. As much as we would love to hang out and jam we cant coz it’s already late and our resident ‘dad’ Kangta oppa demanded us to tuck in early coz apparently we will be having a masquerade party tomorrow night.

Where will we get our clothes? Good question, he said to leave it all to him. Go figure, oh well at least I wont have to worry about what to wear.

Zee and I just got back to our room and the both of us were fixing our things.

            “your performance tonight really was amazing, Zee.” I complimented her as I hung my coat in the closet. She was tidying her bed up.

            “thanks! You weren’t too bad yourself. That duet you had with Kangta oppa was literally breathtaking.” She smiled as she also put her clothes away. I was now sitting and bouncing on my bed.

            “thank you, it was no biggie.” I said grinning at her, I also have another reason to grin about, I saw her when Heechul oppa was performing and I also saw Heechul oppa when Zee was performing, talk about expressions of the century. These two obviously have the hots for each other but are just too damn too stubborn to admit it.

I was already lying down and was about to pull the covers when Zee froze by the window as she was trying to close the curtains.

            “what is that idiot think he’s doing?” I heard Zee mutter under her breath. I stood up and walked towards the window.

            “Zee? What’s wrong?” I asked and she just pointed out the window.

            “look at him, at this temperature he will be getting more than a very bad cold.”

I looked at the direction Zee was pointing and saw the milky-white skinned Kim Heechul oppa in hot pants and a shirt. He almost looked blue now lying there in the snow. I could faintly hear the laughing voices of Kangta oppa, Kyuhyun and the others, the others who knew about the bet of course.

            “don’t mind him, you know how that idiot is. Let’s just go to sleep.” I said as I closed the curtains. One down, one more to go…hehe

I turned to look at Zee and saw that she was still standing by the curtains, a look of concern painted across her face.

            “well, he better get inside soon if he wants to keep his toes intact.” Zee said as she finally got to bed.

This girl obviously likes him; I wonder what’s holding her back from admitting it.
