You reached your dorm, showered and tucked yourself under your blanket and prepared to sleep. It was already 4am and you only had a few hours of sleep left before waking up for another full day of rehearsal.

Somehow you couldn't sleep. You kept thinking about what happened in the cinema and in the car. 'I fell asleep on his shoulder? How embarrassing... Ottokae? I hope he doesn't mind. I mean... his broad shoulders were really nice to lean on...' you thought to yourself and took out your phone to text Kris.

Yifan ge, so sorry I fell asleep on your shoulder. You could have just woke me up you know. Hahaha. Your shoulders were rather nice to lie on actually.. Anyways, goodnight and see you around SM then! ^^

You pressed send and closed your eyes to catch some sleep.

The boys reached their dorm shortly after. They washed up and prepared for bed. Kris was walking back to his room when Chanyeol grabbed him by the arm. "So do you?" he probed.

"Do I what? Want to sleep? Yes, can you let go now?" Kris replied with a grumpy expression.

"Not that, hyung. Enjing. You like her right?"

Kris gave a light nod and walked into his room closing the door in Chanyeol's face. "I knew it.." Chanyeol said from outside the room. "Good night hyung."

"Go to sleep Chanyeol, good night," Kris replied. He looked at his phone and saw your text and smiled.

No problem, but your head was so heavy! ):< Hahahaha! Good night kiddo!

He replied and went to sleep as well.

You were the last to wake up the next day and everyone was already in the living room either watching TV or eating breakfast. You reached over to your phone to check the time and saw Kris' message. 'Stupid gege. Forever insulting me.' you pouted at your phone and replied him. You text each other quite often since it was difficult to see each other due to Exo's schedules. You washed up and went out to meet the girls.

You guys slacked around while waiting for your manage to come pick you guys up to film your music video and solo teasers.

The filming of the music video and teasers took three days and it went really smoothly. You guys were super happy because some of the Super Junior members went down to visit during the shoot which made the atmosphere lighter as well. You were really thankful because they were also there to give pointers on how to interact with the camera when they are filming the solo takes of each member.

You all returned to SM after the final shoot for a meeting with the management team on your different debut schedules. The shows you all are performing on, the interviews and radio shows all lined up for your debut. You guys were super excited and nervous at the thought of your debut being one week away.

It has been really hectic these few days with the filming of music video and your individual solo teasers which is going to be released during the week of your debut. You haven't really gotten a chance to see Kris around cause you were hardly in SM and he was either having rehearsals or not there while you were at SM, but both of you still texted each other on a regular basis updating each other. You realise you were starting to miss him more than you are supposed to.

"Your photo teasers are out and we heard many positive feedbacks on it. Keep up the good work girls. One more week!" your manager said. There was already a hype about GEMS before debuting. Of course there were different reactions to it. One side looking forward to your debut and the other skeptical about it. 

"We'll go down for the first rehearsal tomorrow," your manager continued. "We'll set off from here at 12pm so be here before that yeah?"

You looked at the time. It was 4:30am.

"Jiejie wake up!' Shimin said while shaking you. "We need to go soon."

You grabbed your phone and looked at the time. 10:30am. "Mmm okay.." you replied while stretching your body on your bed. You showered and headed to the dining table for your breakfast.

"Wow, seem like people are looking forward to our debut," Gayeon said while scrolling through her laptop reading people's response on your teaser photos that has been released. 

"But there are people crticising us as well.." Miko said pointing at one of the comments on the screen.

"Doesn't matter what they are saying. As long as we're doing our best, it'll be fine." you assured the memebers.

You dialed for a cab and waited for it to arrive since you all had to go to SM yourselves today. "Come on kids let's go," you said while rushing them to get their stuff. You were the leader and the oldest so naturally, you are like the mother of the group, constantly taking care and looking out for the other members.

You see your manager waiting outside the main gate to you fetch you guys from the cab. He paid and signal you all to go in quickly.

"Omo is that GEMS?!" someone from the crowd said.

"Oh my gosh they look so pretty!" said another along with a few others discussing about the four of you.

You all alighted and walked from the main gate to the entrance of the building with people taking photos of you with their phones along the way. Just then you heard screams coming from the crowd. You turned around and see two black vehicles pass by you. The doors opened and you see Xiumin stepping out first following by the rest of Exo from the cars. You and your members quicken your pace and walked into SM along with Exo.

"What a coincidence! Haven't seen you guys around for quite some time," Xiumin said.

"Yeah we've been busy preparing for our debut. We're having our first showcase rehearsal later," commented Miko. You always felt that Miko and Xiumin looked like siblings cause of their cute outer appearance and their facial features.

"All the best!"

"Yeah, all the best!" said someone behind you but you could recognise that voice immediately. Before you could turn around his hands was already on your shoulder. You turned to the giant next to you and smiled. He ruffled your hair and squeezed your cheeks with the other hand. You whacked his stomach with your hands and stuck your tongue out at him. 

"Why are you always acting like a kid?" he asked.

"Cause you always call me that, and because I can." you make a funny expression at him and he laughed.

Chanyeol walked up next to Kris and gave him a pat on his back and a cheeky expression and walked off.

"Okay I got to go. I'll call you after my rehearsal," you said, deciding whether to give him a hug a not. You took a deep breath and gave him a quick hug before running off to find your members leaving Kris there with a shocked expression.

"Why so shocked? Aren't you glad she feels the same towards you?" Luhan said, suddenly appearing next to Kris.

"I don't know...It's just.. I never expect that coming from her. I hope she feels the same way too.." the younger one replied with his hand rubbing his neck. "Come on let's go..."

Luhan and Kris have been really close since trainee days and shared everything to each other. He was the first to know the Kris had feelings for you when he went to him for advice.

Your first rehearsal was not up to standard which made your manager really angry. You guys ended off your rehearsal at the venue and headed back to SM. Your manager held a urgent meeting with your members and the team in charge of you guys. The meeting started off calm while they were reviewing the progress of your debut activities so far. When he was done with the administratives, he got everyone else except you all and your choreographers to stay. He commented on the rehearsal today and his voice got louder.

"I know it's the first rehearsal on stage but this is not the type of attitude you guys should give," he started saying. "You guys are all over the place. This shouldn't be the standard of a group who is debuting in three days. Your teasers are already out and people have high expectations of you. If this is what you want to show the fans then I'd rather push back your debut date." 

He was really harsh. He then went on commenting on each of your solo performances and so did the choreographers. All four of you just sat there with a stern expression, nodding at what they said. 

"Meet me at the enterance in 10 mins and Enjing, we'll need you to stay for another round of meeting." he commented as he walked out of the room.

The room was left in silence after your manager and choreographers left. You guys just stood there, disappointed in your performance today and your heard sobbing from your members. Miko, the yongest of all started crying which trigger the others to cry as well. You felt your tears rushing to your eyes but you held them back. You gathered the girls and gave them a group hug. "Don't worry guys, we'll get better tomorrow. I believe in us. We can do it GEMS." you assured them. You hugged each of them and walked with them to the door before heading back for another meeting. 

You head hung low while walking back to the meeting room when you bumped into someone. "Jaesonghamnida!" you said and looked up. "Yifan ge.." you said with your voice shaking. You pushed your snapback lower to cover your watery eyes.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine, I got to go for another meeting." you said and you walked off.

The meeting took another two hours and they were planning out the agenda for the next day's rehearsal. It was the last rehearsal before the actual showcase so there were many things needed to be done. Your manager once again stressed about your group's performance today and it only made you even more stress.

You declined your manager's offer to send you back to the dorm cause you said you wanted some time alone to work out some things. He finally obliged and made sure you would text him when you reach your dorm.

You picked up your phone and saw 2 text and 1 missed call from Kris.

###

Hey, are you alright? Call me if you need okay?

###

Have your meeting ended? I'm still in SM if you need someone to talk to. Call me, please. I'm worried.

###

###

I'm fine Yifan ge. I just... need some time alone.

###

You replied. You pressed in a few numbers and made a phone call.

"Hello?"

"Mama... it's me."

"Enjing ah! How are you? Didn't hear from you for days already. Two more days to your debut right?" your mum said over the phone.

"Ma.. I'm tired.. I miss you and pa. I want to go home..." you said and the tears you've been trying to hold in flowed out uncontrollably. 

"It's okay my dear. Mama is here. We'll welcome you home anytime. This is your dream, what you always wanted and it's too late to give up now. Your dad and I saw your teaser photo and you look gorgeous. We are really proud of you baobei." 

Your mum then passed the phone to your dad and your tears fell even more when you heard his voice. The man that has given you strength since the day you were born. "Enjing ah, jiayou. You have gone a long way and your dream is finally coming true. Papa mama will always be here. I love you baobei."

You spent the next 10 minutes talking to your parents and it gave you all the strength you needed. You were reluctant to hang up but it was expensive to call back home. "I love you papa mama." you said waiting for them to hang up before you do.

The silence in the staircase was deafening. You tears start to flow down again. Your phone rang and you picked up to see who was calling. It was Kris.

"Hello?" you picked up, trying your best to not sound like you are crying.

"Where are you?" he said with his low voice, sounding really worried.

Your tears started to pour out again after hearing his voice and you started sobbing.

"ZHANG ENJING WHERE ARE YOU?" he shouted over the phone.

"Same old place"

"Okay I'm coming now. Stay there and DON'T MOVE" he said and hang up.

You heard someone running towards the staircase and you quickly stood up and wiped the tears from your cheeks. The door swing open and there stood Kris, panting really hard trying to catch his breath. He stretched out his hands and you ran towards his direction and hugged him, burying your head in his chest.

"I'm here. Everything is fine now." he said while your hair and hugging you tightly with his other.

I think this chapter turned out a bit too long.. /: I wanted to leave some info out but I was afraid that the story wounldn't link. Sorry guys I hope i don't bore yall with my lengthy writing. ):

I was holding back my tears while writing the part where Enjing/you phone your parents cause it think it's really heart-wrenching. Sorry if there are spelling/grammar/punctuation/weird errors along the way.
