That night all of them had an enjoyable dinner and they had a lot of laughter at the dining table. Jongup was sitting at the host seat with Ji-hye on his left and Himchan on his right. Beside Ji-hye was Yoon-eun.

If you thought that Jae Hwan would be beside Yoon-eun then you are wrong.

After they all sat down, Jae Hwan hopped over to Himchan’s side and sat beside him. All of them were shock too. He seemed to be attracted to this stranger and had a lot to talk about with him.

Throughout the dinner, laughter could be heard and anyone who saw it would think that they were a happy family having a nice dinner together.

After dinner, all of them gathered at the living room and continued having a nice chat. Happy times always pass by very fast; soon it was time for Jae Hwan’s bedtime. After Yoon-eun tucked him into bed, she settled back at the living room where the adults had some wine and discussed some topics.

After an hour or so, Himchan announced that he had to leave and got up. Just as he started to walk out, Yoon-eun stopped him.

“Himchan, wait for me. Since I’m about to leave too let me give you a lift.”

“Good idea! Bro, are you still staying at the old place?” Jongup asked.

Himchan nodded his head and Jongup flashed a big smile, “Well you are in luck then. Yoon-eun just lives two streets away from you.”

Upon hearing Jongup’s words, Himchan turned to face Yoon-eun with a curious look. Yoon-eun gave a soft laugh and walked out of the door waving her hand at her buddies.

Himchan followed behind and the couple left behind in the house laughed.

“Honey, do you think your buddy likes Yoon-eun?” Ji-hye asked as she heard the engine run from Yoon-eun’s car.

“Well, I guess so. Did you saw the look on his face when I said Yoon-eun lives near him?”

“Yup. It’s priceless. Hope he won’t break Yoon-eun’s heart like how the guy did in France.”

Jongup hugged his wife and both of them really hope that Himchan can bring back the smile which their friend has lost since she returned from France.

In Yoon-eun’s car

Yoon-eun cranked up the stereo in her car and her fingers tapped on the steering wheel to the beat of her favourite song.

Since he got into Yoon-eun’s car, Himchan had been very anxious. He did not know what to say to her. He had a lot of questions but he just does not know how to bring it up.

“If Jongup is to know of this, he will definitely laugh until he falls off the chair,” Himchan thought. He had always been a ladies’ man and now he could not even talk properly to the girl that he liked.

“What did you study in Canada?” Yoon-eun took her eyes off the road and looked at Himchan.

“Oh, I studied Economics,” Himchan flashed his sunshine smile at Yoon-eun.

Yoon-eun took her eyes off the road again and looked at him, “Whoa, that’s difficult. Certainly not something I’ll take up. So what are you thinking of doing next now that you are back in Seoul?”

“I’m resting for another week before starting work.”

“You already found a job? That’s fast! Good for you.”

“Thanks. Jae Hwan doesn’t stay with you?” Himchan finally asked the question which had been bugging him since he got into the car.

Yoon-eun shook her head, “Nope.  When he was born, he stayed with Ji-hye and me. When Ji-hye got married two years back, she volunteered to let Jae Hwan stay with her. Every weekend I’ll bring him home with me. She said that like this I’ll be able to concentrate better on my job.”

“She’s a really nice friend.”

Yoon-eun nodded her head, “She indeed is. However now that she’s pregnant I’m thinking of bringing Jae Hwan home with me every day or send him to the childcare. I don’t want to put too much pressure on her. She needs all the rest that she can get.”

“The both of you are like sisters and I have to say that the both of you really get along very well.”

"Well, she accompanied me through my toughest time so I promised myself that no matter what happens in the future I will be there for her too.”

Himchan looked at the girl beside him with the determined look on her face. Her words made the feelings he had for her even deeper and he was determined to win her heart. First, he had to know the story of her past....
