Family Moments
I Just Want to Love YouYong Guk continued drinking his glass of juice and watched as the expression on Yoon-eun’s face changed.
He could roughly guess what was in her mind. He really wanted to go give her a hug and tell her that he’s back. The Yong Guk whom she missed so much is back by her side. However, he knew he can’t.
There were so many things that he did not let her know in the past. If he was to do what he wanted now, it would definitely startle her.
"Hey, are you alright?" asked Yong Guk.
Yoon-eun snapped out of her own world and nodded her head. Noticing that the glass was almost empty, she asked, “Any more for you?”
Yong Guk finished the remaining and extended the glass in his hand to her. Yoon-eun took the glass and refilled it.
Then Yong Guk felt someone hugging his leg. He looked down and saw Jae Hwan’s cute and innocent face looking up at him. Yong Guk bent down and carried Jae Hwan in his arms.
“Hey sweetie, you want to play?” Yong Guk smiled his gummy smile at him.
Seeing Yong Guk’s smile, Jae Hwan smiled and nodded his head enthusiastically.
“Alright, take me to your playroom and we’ll play together,” Yong Guk said as he sat Jae Hwan down on the floor.
As soon as Jae Hwan’s legs touched the ground, he immediately held Yong Guk’s big hand with his little one and pulled Yong Guk with him.
Yong Guk laughed as he allowed Jae Hwan to drag him along.
All this while Yoon-eun was facing them with her back, but she was listening to their conversation. She didn’t expect Yong Guk to suggest playing with Jae Hwan, she thought that he would be leaving in a while but Yong Guk had proved them all wrong. She didn’t want to follow them into the playroom but her curiosity got her and she went towards the room with Yong Guk’s drink in her hand.
When she got to the room, Yoon-eun stopped outside the door and took a deep breathe. She was wondering what the two of them were doing in the room. After a couple of seconds, she pushed open the door and she was stunned.
Jae Hwan and Yong Guk were playing with Jae Hwan’s Lego and they were having a great time. Yoon-eun had always had the image of Jae Hwan playing with his father and her sitting on the sofa watching them play. However, since Yong Guk left her before Jae Hwan’s birth, all these were uncommon scenes.
Yong Guk noticed Yoon-eun at the door and whispered something into Jae Hwan’s ear. Jae Hwan giggled and stood up. He walked towards Yoon-eun and pulled at the hem of her T-shirt. Yoon-eun smiled at him and bent down. Jae Hwan took the glass of drink away from her and placed it on the little round desk at the side. After that, he ran towards Yoon-eun as fast as he could and Yoon-eun who was still squatting down couldn’t balance herself, fell onto the floor. Jae Hwan took the opportunity and tickled his mother. Yoon-eun tried to grab his hand but his little fingers were moving around fast.
Then she felt someone pulled Jae Hwan away. She looked and saw that Yong Guk was holding Jae Hwan with one arm.
“Hey kid, you shouldn’t be bullying your mother. Now I’m going to punish you,” with that, he sat Jae Hwan back onto the floor. However, Yong Guk’s fingers did not tickled Jae Hwan, instead he turned towards Yoon-eun who was still on the floor and tickled her.
Yoon-eun tried to run but was too late. Little Jae Hwan on seeing this laughed and soon the three of them were on the floor of the playroom, tickling one and another.
Anyone who sees this scene will think that they are a family having a great time playing with their child, won’t they?
