After lunch, Yong Guk played together with Jae Hwan until he received a call from Youngjae asking him to meet him and his girlfriend for dinner. He wanted Ji-hye, Jongup, Yoon-eun and Jae Hwan to go along but Yoon-eun rejected his offer hence Yong Guk left for his appointment alone.

“Eun, why don’t you go with him?” Ji-hye asked just as Yoon-eun closed the door behind Yong Guk.

“It just doesn’t feel right. Afterall he’s my boss and we are off work now so he should have his own private time,” replied Yoon-eun as she walked back to the couch.

“Eun, I really think he has some feelings for you,” Ji-hye said.

Before Yoon-eun could reply, Jongup interrupted, “I agree with you honey. You should have seen how hard he shook my hand. When I didn’t tell him that I was married he was glaring at me as if I were his enemy.”

Not giving Yoon-eun a chance to talk again, Ji-hye answered, “You see. I told you that. Poor thing honey, does your hand still hurt?” Ji-hye asked Jongup and touched his hand.

“Guys, stop doing all those mushy stuff in front of me,” Yoon-eun said and purposely walked in between their holding hands to break their hold.

“Eun, you really need to get a man in your life. Think about Jae Hwan, you have to admit that he needs a dad,” Ji-hye said, looking at her best friend who was resting her head back on the couch.

“We’ll see about it,” with that Yoon-eun closed her eyes.

LAB XXIV @ Gangnam-gu, Seoul

“Na-hee, it has been so long since I last saw you,” Yong Guk said as soon as Na-hee and Youngjae arrived at the restaurant.

“Yup, it has been really long. I haven’t seen you in like three months,” Na-hee said as she sat down on the chair which Youngjae had pulled out for her.

Youngjae and Na-hee had been dating since they were in high school and being Youngjae’s closest cousin, Yong Guk and Na-hee had met many times before Yong Guk went overseas and after he came back.

While waiting for Daehyun to arrive, the trio chatted happily and enquired on Na-hee’s trip to Japan.

The three of them were laughing at a joke Youngjae had cracked when Daehyun sat down on the seat beside Yong Guk.

“What joke have our little brother cracked this time round?” asked Daehyun cheerfully.

“Oh well, its just one of those online jokes which he had read about,” Na-hee said while trying to wipe away the tears which had formed in her eyes as she had laughed too hard.

“Okay, since everyone is here. Can we start ordering for our dinner now?” Yong Guk asked and rubbed his stomach like he’s trying to tell them that he’s hungry.

After they ordered their food, the four of them continued their chat.

“Yong Guk, before I forgot. Did you go to visit the Communications Manager today?” Daehyun turned to Yong Guk and asked.

Yong Guk took a sip of his ice water and nodded his head.

“What? You went to visit her? Why?” Youngjae who had been out of the office for the whole day asked anxiously.

“This man here couldn’t contact one of his subordinate then he started fussing around. He even got me to get her address from the secretary so that he can visit her. After getting the address he got me to cancel all his meetings and he sped off. After that, he didn’t even bother to return to the office to lend a helping hand to his poor assistant who was getting all the screaming from directors who weren’t too happy that the meeting were cancelled,” Daehyun told the story to Youngjae and pointed his finger at Yong Guk.

“What were you thinking, Yong Guk? That’s only your second meeting with the directors since you were appointed the Chairman for the Seoul branch,” Youngjae chided.

“I know but I thought something serious happened to her so I decided to be a good boss and visited her,” Yong Guk answered.

“Whoa, since when were you so kind, Yong Guk? I don’t remember you coming to visit when I fell sick,” said Na-hee who was sitting in her seat quietly listening to the conversation the guys had.

Yong Guk rolled his eyes, “For your information, Miss Song I don't think you will need me to visit since you have your personal maid. Youngjae, can you stop freaking out? I was just away for one afternoon.”

“Yes and on a very important afternoon,” Youngjae looked away and said.

Seeing that her boyfriend was angry, Na-hee placed her hand on his arm, “Come on, dear. It’s not exactly very serious right?”

Hearing his precious girlfriend’s sweet voice, Youngjae softened, “I guess.”

Soon their food arrived; the four began eating their dinner and joked around. Out of the corner of his eye, Yong Guk noticed a couple entering the restaurant. They stole his attention because he saw someone familiar.

Yoon-eun entered the restaurant with Himchan still laughing at something which he had said in the car.

After the waiter showed them their seats, he passed the menu to them and walked away.

“Miss, can you stop laughing already? I know you enjoy the story I said but now its time for dinner,” Himchan smiled and said.

“W…Who asked you to tell me such a funny thing before dinner? You should have saved it until later,” said Yoon-eun while trying to suppress the laughter growing within her again.

“Okay, point taken and I’ll remember it. Now let us order our dinner. I’m starving,” Himchan pouted his lips and said.

Looking at this, Yoon-eun laughed again.

Yong Guk stared at the couple sitting a few tables away. He could not remember how his food tasted. All he felt was sourness.

“Yong Guk, Bang Yong Guk!” Daehyun shouted into his ears.

“What?” Yong Guk replied with frustration.

“Youngjae was asking when you will be back in Incheon to visit your dad,” Daehyun repeated the question which Youngjae had just asked a couple of minutes ago.

“Oh… I don’t know yet. Will have to depend on how the company here is doing first,” Yong Guk replied half-heartedly. He was still thinking why Yoon-eun was here for dinner with Himchan.

Na-hee noticed that Yong Guk wasn’t himself and didn't seem to be concentrating so she turned around trying to see what Yong Guk was looking at.

“Oh… a beauty. I wonder who she is and why is his face looking like he’s going to kill someone,” Na-hee thought and smiled to herself.

Daehyun noticed that Yong Guk seemed to be in his own world and Na-hee smiling to herself after turning around so he looked at what caught both their attention. When he saw Yoon-eun and Himchan, his smile disappeared.

Youngjae suddenly noticed the silence at their table.

“Hey guys, what’s wrong?” he asked.

“The girl that made our Chairman lose his heart is here with her friend,” Daehyun replied while eating his food.

Youngjae turned around and indeed he saw Yoon-eun with Himchan and they seemed to be having a great time.

“Yong Guk, seriously I think you need to reconsider your feelings for her,” Daehyun said.

Youngjae and Na-hee were puzzled. “Why?” Youngjae asked.

“She’s married and she has a child,” that was all Daehyun said. However, it was already enough to shock Youngjae.

“What?! Yong Guk, I think you better stop now that you haven’t put in all your feelings. You know what Uncle will say if he knows of it,” Youngjae said.

Although Youngjae was younger than Yong Guk but the two had been close since young. Before Yong Guk left for France, the two would stick together every weekend and chat about their week. When Youngjae needed help, Yong Guk would give him suggestions and all. In fact, he managed to won Na-hee’s heart because of Yong Guk’s advice.

“Guys, its not what you think,” Yong Guk said.

“Don’t lie to me, Yong Guk. Yoojin was the one who told me about it. She said that her husband is constantly overseas and Ms Park has to look after their son alone,” Daehyun said.

Yong Guk sighed, “Guys, what she told Yoojin wasn’t the truth.”

“How do you know?” Youngjae asked.

“Because I’m her husband and the father of her child,” Yong Guk replied.
