Mummy?
I Just Want to Love YouLittle Jae Hwan immediately squeezed himself in between the ladies. After settling down in the seat, he held the hands of the ladies and stared at the stranger in front of him.
After sometime, he turned to Yoon-eun and asked, “Mummy, who is this uncle?”
Yoon-eun ruffled her son’s hair and answered, “He’s an old friend of your Daddy Jongup. Jae Hwan, greet Uncle Himchan.”
Jae Hwan looked at Himchan for another minute then he went in front of him and extended his hand.
“Hi, Uncle Himchan. My name is Park Jae Hwan and I’m five years old,” Jae Hwan said with a childish smile.
Himchan too looked at the boy for a moment before taking his hand and said, “Hi Jae Hwan. I’m Uncle Himchan and I’m 25 this year.”
Upon hearing this, Jae Hwan laughed and jumped onto the seat beside Himchan and held his hand. Yoon-eun and Ji-hye were a bit shocked because Jae Hwan usually does not get close to strangers. However they were also glad that Jae Hwan was willing to open up to strangers.
Himchan played with Jae Hwan while the two ladies continued their chat. After Jae Hwan ran off to Jongup’s side, Himchan went back to the couch and chatted with them.
“So both of you are Jae Hwan’s godmother?” He was praying that both of them will say yes because he had been thinking a lot since he heard Jae Hwan called out mummy. Most importantly he needed Yoon-eun’s answer.
Himchan had fell in love with her since he caught sight of her a week back at the coffee house.
He had just returned back to Seoul that week and he wanted to explore around to check if the place had been the same since he left two years ago. At noon time, he went to a coffee house and had his lunch. Since it was about lunch hour and the coffee house was situated near an office building, there was a crowd. Luckily he managed to get a seat near the bar and got to eat his lunch in peace.
Then a lady caught his attention. She was dressed in black business pants with a lime green T-shirt and she was wearing a pair of black flats. Her dressing was common but the charisma she gave off was different.
At first, Himchan did not take much notice of her. However after hearing her crystal-like laughter, he turned away from the window to look at her.
When Himchan saw Yoon-eun, she was ordering her food with the waitress and while waiting for the cook to prepare her food, she joked with the counter crew. It was obvious that she was a regular at the coffee house because she seemed to have a lot to chat about with the crew.
After she got her food, she waved goodbye to them and walked out. Himchan’s eyes never left her until she disappeared into the office building.
After that day, Himchan went to the coffee house everyday but sad to say, he never had the chance to see her.
“Ji-hye is his godmother. And I’m his mother,” Yoon-eun laughed and answered Himchan’s question.
Disappointment could be seen on Himchan’s face for a split second but both ladies did not notice it.
“Oh. You don’t look like you are a mother. I mean you have the motherly feel but just that I didn’t expect you to be married.”
Yoon-eun laughed and said, “Who said that I’m married? I just said that Jae Hwan’s my child.”
Upon hearing this, Himchan’s eyes lit up. Just then, Jongup’s voice was heard.
“Hey guys, dinner is ready! Please gather at the dining table.”
