Why does my head hurt so much? Why can't I move? What's going on?

I slowly open my eyes and take a look around me. Where am I? The white walls, the beeping sound on my right ear, the flowers on the window sill gave me an idea on where I am. The hospital. I slowly try to pick myself up, but fail from the lack of energy. In the corner of the room, I see someone lying on the couch. It's Nichkhun. I don't pay much attention to him as I do my best to get the needles out of my arm and get myself off the bed. I take a few steps trying to balance myself on anything I get a hold of. When there's nothing left, I take baby-steps to the door. I was about to reach for the doorknob when I find myself hit again. Not because I lost my balance, but because the door was opened. It was Taecyeon.

“YAH! ARE YOU OKAY” Taec says as he tries to get me off the floor.

“Y-Yeah. Just in pain.” I reply.

“Here, let me carry you to your bed.” He says as he tries to carry me.

“W-W-What?! N-No thanks! I can get off on my own!” I say as I tried to get up. Fail.

“Look, you can't even stand up, let alone walk!” He says as he carries me to my bed.

“T-Thanks.” That was all I could say.

This whole being around with guys like 24/7 is driving me crazy. Couldn't they just throw me in Miss A's dorm? This is too complicated.

Nichkhun was still sleeping on the couch. Seems like he was up all night. I really thank him for that.

IN THE AFTERNOON

POV: NO ONE

Minjae's phone rings. He checks the caller ID. Once he sees who is calling him, he lets it ring until the line cuts off. Minjae was in his apartment. He didn't live with anyone, so that got him some time to think.

He was lost in his thoughts when he hears the knock on the door. Minjae gets up and opens it. It was Nichkhun. A shocked expression was planted on Minjae's face.

“Come in.” Minjae says as he extends his arm out to his dorm.

“No, I won't be staying long.” Nichkhun says.

“Is something the matter?” Minjae asks.

“Don't like like you don't know, hyung.” Nichkhun replies with an angry expression.

“I'm sorry.” Minjae says.

“I'm sorry? Is that all you have to say? You could have killed her and all you have is an “I'm sorry”? I'm very disappointed in you, hyung. You're supposed to be a role model to us.” Nichkhun says furious, but trying to stay calm.

“What more do you want?” Minjae asks.

“What more do I want? What more do I WANT! HYUNG! Listen to yourself!” Nichkhun says.

“Hey! It wasn't completely my fault! She needed to lose the weight. You actually think that it's possible for her. All she did was sit on her all day and eat. I don't think she even knows where her toes are.” Minjae says smirking.

“DON'T TALK ABOUT HER LIKE THAT!” Nichkhun yells.

“WHAT! WHY! DO YOU LOVE HER OR SOMETHING? STOP DREAMING AND GET A HOLD OF REALITY” Minjae starts to yell also.

“Yeah, you're the one to talk. Let me just give you some piece of information. I don't have any feelings for her, but if you do anything to hurt her ever again, think of your life as good as over.” Nichkhun threatens Minjae as he storms out.

A FEW HOURS LATER

Nichkhun is back at the hospital and Da Yoon is being discharged. She was happy that she didn't get to stay there any longer. The hospital is just depressing. Nichkhun couldn't help but think about what the doctor told him.

“Is everything alright?” Da Yoon asks.

“Yeah, everything's fine.” Nichkhun says faking a smile.

“You know, you can't fool me. Come on, what's on your mind?” Da Yoon says happily.

“It's......It's just something.....that.........you know what. Never mind.” Nichkhun says as he gets up and starts packing Da Yoon's clothes into the bag.

“Something must be up if you were about to tell me, but stopped. Is this a guy thing?” Da Yoon asks.

“No, it's not.” Nichkhun says chuckling.

“So then! Tell me! If you don't, then I'll run into a door again.” Da Yoon says laughing.

“Fine, fine!! I'll tell you! It's just something that......the doctor told me.” Nichkhun says as he brings his head down.

“Why, what happened?! Am I going to die?!” Da Yoon says with her eyes widening.

“No, no! Don't say that!!” Nichkhun says as he runs towards Da Yoon.

“Then what?” She asks.

“It's just........the doctor....recommended you should....lose the weight.” Nichkhun said with his head down.

“It's not easy for me. I've sort of given that up.” Da Yoon says sighing.

“Of course! I know what your feeling. We can ju...” Nichkhun said not finishing his sentence.

“I know what your feeling? You know what I'm feeling? I.....I don't think you do! All my life, I have been like THIS. All my life, I've had to keep my head up high because I was bullied for THIS. All my life, I've heard my friends talk about how “fat” they are when they're not even a quarter of my size. All my life, I've seen people change while I'm stuck behind. So please...don't tell me you know how I feel because you've never felt the way I felt and you never will” Da Yoon said trying to hold the tears that were running down her cheeks.

As she couldn't take it any longer, Da Yoon rushed out of the room. Nichkhun thought it would be best that she have some time alone.

I'm just worried about you.

Nichkhun didn't tell Da Yoon the whole story.

FLASHBACK

“Annyeonghaseyo Nichkhun imida. How is Da Yoon? Nichkhun asked the doctor.

“Ah..neh. You're the one that brought in Da Yoon. And it's good that you did.” The doctor said with a worried look on his face.

“Is there something wrong?” Nichkhun asked.

“Her life-span is extremely short, especially considering her young age.” The doctor replied.

“W-what? I-Is there anything she can do to stop it? This can't be the end for her. She has her whole life ahead of her.” Nichkhun said shocked.

“Yes, of course there is Nichkhun-ssi. Don't worry. It will be very hard, but it will be worth it in the end. She has to change her eating habits drastically and exercise everyday for at least two hours. With that, she will be fine.” The doctor said smiling.

“Thank you so much doctor! Thank you!” Nichkhun said bowing.

“Aniyo Nichkhun-ssi. It's my job. But......”The doctor said trying to find the right words to say.

“Yes songsaengnim?” Nichkhun said.

“Well......this might of been when she fell, but during the procedure, I noticed bruised around her body. I'm just concerned. Have you noticed any of this?” The doctor asked worriedly.

“Oh? Bruised? I've never seen them before. We've only known each other for a day. I'll talk to Da Yoon about his. Thank you for informing me, doctor.” Nichkhun said.

“No problem Nichkhun-ssi. Oh and have her come back in a couple of weeks for a check up to see if everything is alright.” The doctor said.

“Neh! Thank you! I'll be going now.” Nichkhun said bowing.

“Goodbye.” The doctor said smiling.

FLASHBACK END

As Nichkhun walked out of the hospital, he couldn't help but think about Da Yoon's situation.

“Bruises? Could it be that she fell from the treadmill? Can't be. Even if she did, it couldn't have done that.” Nichkhun said talking to himself.

Was it Minjae?

Right away, Nichkhun called Minjae.

“YAH! HYUNG! DID YOU HURT HER! WHY DOES SHE HAVE BRUISES?” Nichkhun said angry.

“What? What are you talking about? I never touched her.” Minjae asked confused.

“WHAT? You don't know?? Nichkhun asked.

“No, I don't! I just left her there. I never touched her! I'm serious!” Minjae said.

“I swear, if I find out your're lying, be prepared! I'm hanging up now.” Nichkhun said as he ended the call.

POV: MINJAE

“Hmmm....bruises? I don't remember.....” Minjae said to himself.

I will make sure to destroy her. She even has the nerve to come here? Pft! We will see about that. All she is doing is asking for trouble. We'll see how long can she keep this up for.
