“What are you thinking exactly?” Mr. Kim sighed as the two entered the room. Sejin flinched.

“Ma, Pa, duibuqi, but-” Lay started, but the elder shook his head.

“Let Sejin talk, Yixing. I need to hear from her.”

Sejin looked at her mother, then turned to her dad.

“I made a mistake, pa. I’m sorry.” She bit her lip.

Lay glanced at her and gave her a hand a light squeeze.

“Arasso, I’ll ask Luhan to call a press conference and..then finish it off.”

“Wait, why? A press conference?” Sejin blinked, Lay shook his head.

“We’re not ending our engagement, pa.” He looked up.

“Yixing, but you were the one,”

He shook his head at Sejin’s mother.

“I was too blind that time, ma. I got…blinded by jealousy, I’m sorry but….I’m not leeting go of Sejin, ma.”

The two elder Kims smiled.

“I love your daughter.”

“We’re in big trouble.” Sejin sighed as they walked towards the elevator. Lay just smiled and pressed the button.

“What do you mean?”

“Your parents must be mad too.” She glanced at him, Lay just wrapped one arm around her waist.

“It’s okay, where do you want to eat lunch?”

“Can you make those dumplings with shrimp again?” Sejin grinned at him.

The doors opened and they stepped in.

“But….Sejin-ah.”

She turned to him.

“You said….when we were in college, you already had..feelings..why..” Lay trailed off and looked at her.

“Because, you already had Heejin, if I told you about it, you would feel bad and our friendship would change, and I don’t like that.”

“So you’d rather suffer.” Lay blinked at her.

“I didn’t, well it…was okay.” She shrugged. Lay smiled and kissed the side of her head.

“Still doesn’t explain why you at cooking and do well in eating.”

“Ya!”

“I’ve been thinking.” Sejin started as she sat down on one of kitchen stools.

“About what?” Lay asked.

“I might…resign from the firm.”

Lay turned to her.

“Did Hoya come back again?” He frowned.

“No, I think I should help Luhan ge with the company. It’s a part of my responsibility too.”

Lay smiled and turned back to slicing some ingredients.

“Do you think I should?” Sejin stood up to get a glass of water.

“It’s your decision, Sejin. If you really want to do that, then I’ll support you.”

Sejin grinned and walked to him, then peeked over his shoulder.

Lay turned to face her, then gently wrapped his arms around her waist.

“What is it now?” She made a face. Lay just smiled.

“I think we might have to talk about things.”

“Regarding what?”

“First, you should start wearing your engagement ring.” Lay pouted, Sejin chuckled.

“That’s it?”

Lay just smiled and pressed her head against his chest.

“Maybe.”
