Sejin stopped in front of LH Law Firm’s office. The company had specifically asked her to be the interior designer for their new department office.

She went down from her car and walked towards the building’s entrance.

“Kim Sejin-ssi?” A man in black suit approached her, she nodded and the man led her to the elevator.

Sejin arrived at the third floor and was greeted by a secretary.

“Attorney Lee’s waiting for you.” She informed her, Sejin followed the girl to a huge empty office.

“Sir, Miss Kim has arrived.”

Sejin looked the man, he wasn’t facing them.

“Good morning, I’m Sejin from-” Her eyes widened as the man faced her.

“It’s been a long time, Sejin-ah.”

She looked away.

“Are you going to greet me like this?”

“Ho—won-ah.” She looked at him.

Lay looked up as Sejin walked in his office, his brows rose and he dropped the papers he was holding on his desk.

“What is it?” He asked.

Sejin shook her head at him.

“I’m in trouble.”

“What kind?”

“I drove to Incheon today, for that new project, it turns out that space is owned by Howon. It’s his law firm.”

Lay’s eyes widened slightly, and he stood up to sit beside her.

“Did…you two talk?”

“I just set out the plans then I left.” She frowned, Lay sighed and took her hands.

“He can’t hurt you again, Sejin. I’m here.”

Sejin shook her head.

“I can’t weasel myself out of this, I don’t want to work on his space.”

“What did your boss say?”

“She can’t do anything the company especially requested that I do it.” Sejin rubbed her temples.

“Do you want me to talk to him?” Lay asked.

“No need, I’ll just have to do it as quick as possible.”

“Sejin,”

“It’s fine. I just wanted to tell you this in case I forget.”

“I know, that’s how much you need me, bao bei.”

“Don’t make me reach out for that cutter on your table, qin ai de.” She spat. Lay chuckled and squeezed her shoulder before going back to his desk.

“It’s almost four, aren’t you getting off work?” She asked.

“Soon, where do you plan to have dinner?”

“….At home..?” She blinked.

“I want burgers.” Lay looked up.

“Kraze it is then, kuai(hurry)!”

“That’s good.” Sejin grinned as she nibbled on her fries.

“Ah, right, Luhan ge sent an invitation earlier.”

“About what?” She asked, Lay sighed and handed her a napkin.

“Ketchup.” He said, Sejin wiped her lip.

“LG’s release. It’s a new phone or something.”

“Are we going?” She asked.

“What do you think? I’m okay with it.”

“Way to go for teamwork, Zhang Yixing.” She said dryly.

“I think it would be good, ma would just lecture me if I don’t show myself.”

“I knew you would say that. And next week I have an opening at Yongsan, I need you there too.”

“Got it.” She nodded.

“I’m serious,Sejin. Clear your day for that.” Lay put down his burger.

“I already said I got it!” She snapped, Lay chuckled.

“Earlier, what happened with Heejin? What you said put her off.”

Yixing’s brows furrowed.

“Yixing?”

“I…haven’t called her yet, she was really quiet after you left earlier.”

“Yixing.” She sighed.

“We talked about this, messing around with me is fine, but Heejin’s also in a difficult positon here, be careful with your words.”

“Wo ji dao. But I can’t help it if she’s being too sensitive.”

“She has the right to be.”

Yixing shook his head at her and continued eating.

“How’s the Samsung office going on?” He asked.

“It’s almost finished, I spoke with Kai earlier.”

“You get along with him.” Lay said, Sejin nodded and took a sip from her cola.

“He’s somewhat like a male version of me, but only more….flirty?”

“That’s good, you’re meeting new friends.”

“You make me sound like I’m some sort of an anti-social freak.”

“Well aren’t you one?”

“I hate you.”

“I love you too, Sejinnie. You know that.” He grinned, his dimple showing.

Deep inside, Sejin winced to herself.

“Get lost, Zhang.“
