I sat quietly in the conference room.

I shouldn’t even be here. I didn’t want to be here.

Not to mention that there was that couple who was sitting across me and giving me looks of disgust all this while I had been here.

Oh please. I can’t even be bothered.

An old man came into the room with a folder in hand. He briefly introduced himself to the three of us and started reading the Will.

The Will of Lee Eunhyuk.

The couple gasped and started firing questions at the old man who was the lawyer and starting pointing at me.

They wanted to have everything, fine, let them have it. I don’t care. I just want to be out of this place.

I stood and all eyes were immediately upon me.

‘I don’t want any of his money. Let them have it.’ i stated.

The couple stopped their nonsense and settled back in their seats. Apparently pleased with what I had just said.

I shook my head at their behavior and proceeded to step out of the room.

Just as I was about to open the door, it opened and in came a tall handsome man with black framed glasses on.

He smiled kindly at me, ‘Mr Lee, please have a seat. You may be interested in this.’

I was about to retort but he had already stepped inside and was now beside the old man.

Sighing out loud, I returned to my seat. Five minutes more wouldn’t kill me.

It didn’t kill me physically.

But it sure killed me emotionally when the man spoke.

‘My name is Cho Kyuhyun and I am the current personal assistant of Mr Lee Eunhyuk,’ he paused and looked at me while the couple gasped audibly.

‘The Will here is void, because Mr Lee Eunhyuk is still very much alive. That would be all. Thank you for coming.’

I felt as if my world had just fallen apart.

I barely heard the couple’s yells or the Cho guy walking towards me until he whispered to me, ‘Mr Lee Donghae, your presence is required. Please follow me.’

I felt him tugged on my arm some time later and I followed him dumbly.

My mind still trying hard to process everything.

Eunhyuk is alive?

My nightmare was starting again.

I felt faint as I was being pulled gently into the lift out of the lift and into a car. The Cho guy sat beside me in the back seat and was making a call.

The car sped off before I could get back my senses.

‘I’m sending him to you right now. Yes. Everything is settled,’ he turned and looked at me, ‘he looked pretty unsettled but otherwise fine.’

He laughed out loud and looked at me again before speaking to whoever was on the other line again, ‘And just to warn you. He doesn’t look too elated knowing that you are still alive.’ I saw him ended the call.

‘Why did you say that! Do you want me to die?’ I yelled at the Cho guy.

He smiled and adjusted his glasses, ‘Such a pretty face, it would be a pity to see you dead. Don’t worry. He will treat you well.’

I felt like it was the end of the world.

I couldn’t even imagine what was going to happen.  

Just then my phone rang and I jumped.

Who could it be? Not him?

I looked and saw that it was Sungmin.

‘Minnie! Help me!’

At the corner of my eyes I saw the Cho guy stiffened at that. I frowned.

‘What is it Hae? Is it Eunhyuk’s uncle and aunt? Have they been difficult on you?’

‘No no Minnie,’ I turned slightly. That Cho guy is definitely acting weird.

I turned over to the other side and whispered, ‘He’s not dead.’

‘I heard you.’ It was that Cho guy.

‘Eunhyuk? How could it be? We saw the pictures!’ Min was exclaiming over the phone.

‘I don’t know and someone is sending me to him now. I don’t want to go Min!’

Kyu snorted beside me and murmured something.

Min was silent for a while before he answered, ‘Donghae, listen up, we have seen the pictures. He is definitely dead. Keep telling yourself that and go and find out what a fraud this Eunhyuk is. Don’t switch off your phone I will try to track you down. Just stay calm until I’m there. Can you do that for me Hae?’

I nodded then remembered that he couldn’t see, ‘Yes yes I can.’

And with that we hung up. I’m feeling less panicky now at least. Min was coming for me.

I peeked at the Cho guy. He is a fraud. The driver in front. He is a fraud. And the Eunhyuk waiting for me, the greatest fraud ever. That shall be all they were.

A/N: I had really wanted to write a romance. No more angst. Writing angst makes me unbalance I think. I had the outline of this story planned for a while when writing Second Chance. So I’m very glad that I am finally able to start on this now because I simply couldn’t suppress my urges anymore. I had 2 chapters till now so updates might be a bit slow for this one. I want to finish up on Second Chance first before fully concentrating on this.
