Chapter 34 Define Entwined
Entwined
AUTHOR POV
Entwined by Jason Reeves
Entwined
All that we are is defined
By each other’s shipwrecked hearts
And I shiver to think
What would have been
If I wouldn’t have seen you in time
Would we pass by
A boy and a girl were swaying softly to the music and to the rhythm of their hearts only they could hear.
Like parachutes and air balloons
Or satellites and lonely moons
We’d still be drifting far apart
But thank the stars
We are entwined
Lost in each other’s gaze, their eyes reflecting what is in their hearts: each other.
All that you are is mine
Your divine imperfections color the dark
And I shiver to see
How fragile you are
When the world’s such a crowded place to be
Then you cut me free
The boy holds the girl tighter in his arms, like she was his everything.
Like parachutes and air balloons
Or satellites and lonely moons
We’d still be drifting far apart
But thank the stars
We are entwined
The girl responds with a smile that carries her promise of forever.
Let’s walk the tight rope together without a safety net
And when we fall
And we will fall
Let’s fall
forever entwined
He smiles back and gently caresses her hair then her cheeks.
Like parachutes and air balloons
Or satellites and lonely moons
We’d still be drifting far apart
She blushes deeply and presses her face to his chest.
Like parachutes and air balloons
Or satellites and lonely moons
We’d still be drifting far apart
But thank the stars we are
We are entwined
Entwined
He pulls back cupping her chin to raise her face
and planted a kiss.
Entwined synonyms: tangled, matted, entangled, dishevelled, intertwined, knotted
I have come to love this word. It connotes nonseparation, togetherness yet it could also mean mess, disorder.
Entwined: to be one amidst chaos
