Heaving a sigh of relief, he checked the time: 8:57AM. You were still sound asleep. Blush crept up to his cheeks when he realised he was still holding your hand. He bit his lip shyly and smiled.

"Ah! The hangover cures!" He scurried to the laptop and clicked the link. "11 Best Ways To Cure A Hangover" The title showed clearly.

"?!?!?!" He thought aloud. Yongguk immediately covered his mouth with both hands but couldn’t help but imagine you... On the same bed... - WAIT. Yongguk face palmed himself and continued. *I think ginger tea or something would be good....? Even though it’s not in the list.* He left your room and headed to the kitchen.

"Ah good morning Yongguk-ssi, may I help you?" Hyosung asked as she entered the kitchen with groceries in her hands.

"I.. I just wanna make breakfast for Raein since.. You know, she got drunk last night and she'll most probably get a hangover from drinking so much." Hyosung giggled at the shy Yongguk and nodded.

"Sure, I think porridge and ginger tea would be good. I bought chicken at the market just now. Maybe chicken sliced porridge?" Hyosung suggested. 

"Yeah! Yeah.. That'll do. Thank you!" Yongguk beamed and started to take out the chicken meat from the bag.

"No problem, if there's nothing much I will go do the chores now." Hyosung bowed and was about to leave when Yongguk stopped her.

"Wait!! Uh.. Hyosung-ssi. Actually I need help-"

"In cooking?" Hyosung completed his sentence. 

"Yeah how'd you-"

"I'm a psychic." Hyosung winked. "Nah just kidding. You don’t look like you cook. To be honest." Yongguk just managed a smile. Hyosung clapped her hands twice and put them on her hips. "Shall we start? Yongguk-ssi please wash the chopping board and place the chicken on it." 

"Wha-?" Yongguk widened his eyes and stay rooted to the ground.

"Didn’t you say you want to make breakfast for Raein-ssi? Why are you still standing there? CHOP CHOP! She's gonna wake up any time soon!" Hyosung rushed him.

"Ah! Yes madam!" Yongguk saluted her and prepared the chopping board.

"Now, you take a pot from the cabinet below the sink and wash it before filling half of it with water!"

"Yongguk-ssi, take 5 cups of rice from the sack and place it into the pot!"

"Yongguk-ssi, wash the chicken thoroughly!"

"Yongguk-ssi, cut the chicken into thin slices!"

"Yongguk-ssi, turn down the fire for the porridge!! It's overflowing!!!!"

"Yongguk-ssi, fill the kettle and boil the water!"

"Yongguk-ssi, are you done with the chicken??"

"Yongguk-ssi, boil the chicken in another pot!" 

"Hyosung-ssi, STOP!"

"Yongguk-ssi, the chicken!!!!"

"WHAT? Oh crap!" Yongguk turned off the fire and placed the chicken in the porridge. He stirred it and tasted a spoonful of it.

"Yongguk-ssi, the kettle is boiling!" Yongguk hurried to the stove and turned the fire off.

"HYOSUNG-SSI! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! PLEASE GO AND DO YOUR CHORES NOW." Yongguk said between clenched teeth and forced a smile.

"Alright! Good luck!" With that, Hyosung skipped off. Yongguk slumped against the sink. *Will she ever stop talking?! Thank god I sent her away or else, I’m gonna go berserk.* Yongguk shook his head and turned to look at the stove before realising... *HOW THE DO I MAKE GINGER TEA?!?!*

Yongguk glanced at the door and after some hesitation, he sighed. "HYOSUNG-SSI!" He called out.

"Yes Yongguk-ssi! Slice the ginger into thin pieces!"

"Where did you-"

"Boil the ginger in that smaller pot in the second cabinet!"

"You-"

"Yes Yongguk-ssi, I was outside the door all along since I know you have no idea how to make ginger tea. And is my explanation more important or is Raein-ssi more important?"

"Alright alright! Sheesh.." Yongguk went to slice the ginger but since it was much smaller than the chicken meat, it was much harder. And it doesn’t help that his hands were freakishly huge compared to the puny piece of ginger.

"AISH." Blood dripped onto the ginger as he accidentally cut himself. "Oh no, the ginger!!" He went to wash the ginger till there was no more blood on it. 

"Yongguk-ssi! First aid kit in the top right cupboard!" Hyosung couldn’t help but to laugh at Yongguk. It has been some time since someone did so much for you ever since your previous relationship and Hyosung was really happy for you.

Yongguk simply took a plaster and wrapped it around his index finger before he continued to slice the ginger. 

"Yongguk-ssi, have you boiled the ginger!"

"Yongguk-ssi, add lime and honey!"

"Yongguk-ssi! Now you're officially done, so goodbye!"

Yongguk was about to thank her but she has already left. He shrugged his shoulders. "Oh well." 

After 20 minutes, the ginger tea was ready. He filled a cup with ginger tea and prepared the porridge before bringing both items to the dining table. *Is she awake?* Yongguk decided to go to your room and check on you. 

Meanwhile, you had already woke up and yes, you had a hangover. Your very first hangover. You struggled to stand but your headache was killing you.  You stumbled your way and fell on your desk chair. You saw the website showing hangover cures and yawned while wondering why or rather who touched your laptop. 

Just then, the door opened and Yongguk was there, in an apron. YES, AN APRON. You blinked a few time before bursting into laughter. He looked ridiculous in an apron. "Yah! Don’t laugh!" Yongguk pouted. HE POUTED. You laughed even harder until the pain shot up into your head again.

"Ah it hurts, it hurts...." You whimpered and Yongguk rushed to your side.

"It’s alright, it’s alright, it'll go away...” He cooed. He carried you and brought you down to the dining table. You settled down on your seat and saw the porridge and ginger tea. *Did he make this for me?*

Yongguk went to get painkillers after he settled you down at the dining table. When he came back, he saw you eating the porridge and couldn’t help but to smile. "Take this after you finish the porridge." Yongguk said as he placed two painkiller pills beside the bowl and sat across you. You noticed the plaster and grabbed his hands immediately.

"What happened?" You whispered while looking at him.

"Nothing much, just a small cut." Yongguk smiled and removed your grip on his hands. "Just eat. Is it alright? Oh! And this is ginger tea!" You softened and put the spoon down. Yongguk immediately opened his mouth to speak but you spoke before he could.

"Thank you Yongguk, really. You're the fir- second person to do so much for me. I'm really grateful." You gave him your most sincere smile while holding on to his hand. 

His heart skipped a beat. "So, who's the first? And.. Does it mean you forgive me? I have nothing to do with that girl, really!! I can explain everything if you want me to. I have no feelings for her. The kisses meant nothing." Yongguk said slowly and carefully. You were caught off guard but answered it nevertheless.

"Well, I forgive you but you owe me an explanation big guy. And.. Well.. The first person was... My ex-boyfriend.." You trailed off as your voice started to crack. 

"I'm sorry Raein!! I-I didn’t mean to bring that up, please don’t get upset. Eat the porridge!! I didn’t endure Hyosung's bossiness for nothing." He joked.

"What?! You asked Hyosung for help?? I feel you man, I feel you." You told Yongguk about how you asked her to give you cooking lessons once and Yongguk told you what Hyosung did to him. You had already forgotten about your headache. You didn’t even need the painkillers, it was as if.. Yongguk was your drug.

Yongguk didn’t even feel hungry at all. He felt happy and contented preparing breakfast for you and seeing how much you enjoyed his food, made him feel overjoyed. *Great morning (minus Hyosung's nagging) with the most beautiful girl in the world in front of me. What more can I want?*
