Lu Han and Mia were laughing so hard that they couldn’t finish the meat that they cooked. The meat was in a worse condition than they thought it was. It was completely burnt and practically inedible. So, they paid and left. Mia was laughing so hard that she lost her balance and had to use a glass window for support. Lu Han was laughing with her. He felt a bit lightheaded.
“Where do you want to go now?” he asked.
“I don’t know.” slurred Mia.
“Hey… You’re accent is so thick.” said Lu Han, knowing that he has told her many times. He reached out and pinched her chubby cheeks. “Why is that?
Mia got mad and batted his hand away. “Get away.” she said.
Lu Han started to laugh. “You look like a freaking dumpling!” he said.
“And, you look like a LOLLIPOP!” screamed Mia.
“No I don’t!” defended Lu Han. For some reason, he felt completely offended by her comment and got riled up.
“Yes you do!” said Mia, pointing at him accusingly.
“Shut up, Dumpling.” said Lu Han, as he lightly pushes her on the shoulder. He starts walking the opposite direction of their hotel. Mia just trails along.
They were walking until they found a vendor on the side of the street. There were a few people surrounding, laughing and talking loudly. Lu Han and Mia stopped to stare at what they were doing. The vendor had a ton of knick knacks and cheap, shiny jewelry.
“1,000 won! Everything here is sold for 1,000 won!” said the vendor.
The pair approached the table and started to look around. After a minute or so, they paid for their item. “What did you got?” asked Lu Han, as he turned to her as they walked into a crowd of people.
“Me?” asked Mia. “This!” She showed him the ring that she got.
Lu Han stared at it closely. “Hey!” he said. “You copycat! I got the same one!”
Mia stared at him blankly. “I thought that you got something sparkly.” she said.
“You stupid! I’m a boy, I don’t like huge sparkly, man-made diamond rings.” slurred Lu Han, as he stared at the ring he got. The two got a silver ring with a unique engraved pattern. “Can’t you tell I’m a boy?”
Mia stares at him and lefts up his shirt, showing his pale, cut torso. She slipped her hands under his shirt to touch his chest. Lu Han quickly pulled her hands away.
“Yah! I don’t have these!” he slurred, as he grabbed one of her s. “I’m not girl.”
Mia glared at him and pulled his hand off of her body. She yelled, “Could have fooled me! You look so feminine with that baby face!”
Lu Han huffed, pissed off. He looked over at Mia and grabbed her left hand and pulled the ring off of her thumb. “Yah!! Give it back!!” she yelled. “Lu Han, it’s my ring!”
“I was the one that got it first!” said Lu Han, as he held the ring above his head. Mia starts to jump and tried to reach for it. He starts laughing, evilly. “You’re a midget!”
Mia glares at him and walks off into an empty alley. Lu Han follows her. She eventually stops under a streetlight. There was no one around and it was quiet. Mia looked up at the sky at the yellow-orange light bulb.
“What?” asked Lu Han. Mia just shrugs and the pair stood there by the streetlight.
Lu Han pulled a Sharpie from his jacket and started to write something on the light post. When he was done, Mia glanced at it. He wrote: Mia is a DUPLING. She quickly grabbed the Sharpie from Lu Han.
“You wrote it wrong!!” she said. “You spelled it wrong, stupid. Dumpling is D-U-M-P-L-I-N-G. And, you think that you’re smart! Ha ha!” Mia quickly crossed out the words and wrote something else.
Lu Han looked at the corrections. “What the hell?!!” he yelled.
Mia wrote: Lu Han is a LOLLIPOP.
“Yah! It’s true!!” said Mia.
“Give that to me!” demanded Lu Han.
“Give me my ring!” she said.
Lu Han gave in and slipped the ring back on her finger. Mia refused to give the Sharpie and started laughing. She quickly wrote something on the light post. Lu Han pulled the Sharpie from Mia’s hand and tried to finish writing her sentence.
“Yah! You’re writing it wrong!” she said.
“No, I’m not!” said Lu Han. “Look, it’s right! Stupid, S-T-U-I-D!”
Mia started to say otherwise until someone got both of their attention. “Hey!! What are you two doing?!” said an authoritative voice.
Lu Han and Mia both looked over their shoulders. There stood two police officers with glares. Lu Han grabbed Mia’s hand and yelled, “Run!”
The police started to run after them. Lu Han pulled Mia into the crowd and made many turns. They eventually stopped running when he knew for sure that they weren’t being chased down. The pair was out breath as they leaned on the wall of a dark, empty alley. They were standing across each other.
Lu Han looked down at Mia and started laughing. He looked up at the sky and said, “God, we must be drunk or something.” He started to rub his eyes.
Mia just stared at him. She shrugged her shoulders, “I think we are.” she said. And, she started to laugh. “Oh my GOD! We are so freaking drunk…”
“I know!” laughed Lu Han. “We are! That’s why it’s so funny!” The two had another good laugh together.
Mia stepped away from the wall and tripped on her own foot, falling into Lu Han’s chest. She started laughing into his chest and he chimed along as they stayed like that. “Hey, we should start heading back.” she suggested as she looked up at him.
Lu Han pushed the hair away from Mia’s face. The sweat from the running was making her hair stick to her face. He wanted to laugh, but instead he agreed.
The pair got back to the hotel with a taxi. It would have been impossible for them to find their way back to the hotel on foot. As soon as they got into the hotel room, Lu Han the TV really loud and sat on the couch in front of the TV. Meanwhile, Mia lay down on the bed. Mia’s phone started ringing and she threw a pillow at Lu Han to lower the volume.
“Hellow?” slurred Mia, into the phone. She couldn’t read the name of the caller.
“Mia?” asked Mason, alarmed. “Are you OK?”
She started laughing and Lu Han stood up from the couch. He got on her bed and lay next to her. She looks at him and said, “Ge ge is calling!”
“Huh?” asked Lu Han, loudly.
“Mason!” said Mia. “It’s Mason.”
“Who’s Mason?” asked Lu Han, confused.
“Mia, who are you with?” asked Mason, on the other end. He was worried because he knew that she was drunk.
“Lu Han, say hello to Mason.” she said, as she passed the phone to him.
Lu Han placed the phone in the space between him and Mia. “Hello, Mia’s brother.” he said, getting tired.
“It’s Mason.” said Mia, with heavy eyelids.
“Hello, Mason. My name is Lu Han…” he slurred, as he started to fall asleep. “It’s nice to meet you.”
Then there was silence.
“Uh… Hello?” asked Mason, on the other side. “Hello?!”
Lu Han and Mia were already asleep.
