Dae Young was in a mission for a week and he just returned today. Him and Myeong Joo both were happy cause tomorrow is Myeong Joo's Birthday. They both was looking forward to the day and of course without letting each other know that.

In the evening, all five of them were sitting on the couch and having family time, Dae Young got a call. He handed baby Jo to Myeong Joo and went to another room to talk. A few minutes later he entered the room with a stern look on his face. 

Myeong Joo knows what that could mean. Her happy face covered in a gloomy expression. She handed Jo to Jina and stood up, walking straight towards him, "Is it a dangerous mission?"

He didn't look at her eyes but slightly nodded. She huffs and turned towards the girls, her eyes suddenly started watering. Dae Young clearly understands that and holds Myeong Joo by both her shoulders and slowly turned her towards him. He lifted her face by holding her chin up and she looked at him with her watery eyes. He understands what is running in her mind every time he leaves for a dangerous mission. And this too when she wanted him by her side on her special day.

In Myeong Joo's mind, she knew he would never say it aloud, but she was wiser now. She could see it in his eyes, and without allowing herself to think, she crashed onto his chest and felt those strong arms wrap her in. 

There was nothing in the world that made her feel as safe as his embrace, nothing in the world she craved more than him and she buried herself onto him further. She feared for his life but she feared losing him the most. She pressed firmly onto his chest, listening and memorising his rhythmic heartbeat, soaking in his fragrance that would be her shield.

Dae Young was holding Myeong Joo tightly in his chest and noticed the girls were watching. Even they understands when it's time for their father to go on a mission. But they understands that seeing their mom's expression. Dae Young told them,"Girls, please go to your rooms." They silently leaves the room. They know mom is hurting and mom and dad needs some time alone to comfort each other.

He released Myeong Joo from the hug only when she initiated it, and even then, they watched each other in silence for a few minutes. Finally, she stood on her toes to place a kiss on his cheeks.

"Stay safe, for me, for us." she murmured and a small smile glinted in his eyes.

"I will", he whispered back and bend down, causing her eyes to flutter close in anticipation. His lips touched her cheek in the softest of touches before he murmured a goodnight in her ears.

He ran to the girls and kisses them good night. Saluted Myeong Joo and she saluted back. Then he left for the base.
