It's been almost a very chaotic month since having the baby. Both Myeong Joo and Dae Young did a lot with the newborn. At first, she woke up almost every two hours and that made life hard for them. Dae Young supported as much as he could, but feeding the baby was Myeong Joo's nonstop work. So she couldn't sleep well.

After one month, the newborn baby was settled into her routine and finally they were getting some sleep. Sunshine and Jina are very very excited and happy to have a little sister. General Yoon named her Jo. He has been showing extra care for the baby lately. He seems to be very very happy to have another grandchild at this age. He thanked Myeong Joo and Dae Young for blessing him with a grandchild. Dae Young and Myeong Joo proudly smile at him. 

But one day, Dae Young came home to find a very shocking situation. Myeong Joo was sitting on the carpet in the dark, crying, alone. He immediately rushed to her, grabbed her hands and asked what happened to her. Myeong Joo kept crying feeling him near her. She grabbed him hard like her life depended on holding him. Still she couldn't talk because of the crying. Dae Young held her firmly in his chest and tried to coax her with hands running up and down on her back. He softly speaks the whole time "It's okay Myeong Joo. Everything will be better. It's okay. Cry as much as you want. Let it all out. Don't hold back. I'm here for you. Where's hurting? Here(carefully rubbing her belly)? Let me take care of you. I'll take care of you."

After her mother died, her father was all for her. But he was a very busy man and then their conflict started. So all the time she cried alone. Dae Young was holding back then, hoping that it'd hurt less. But that hurt a lot more. Then things finally changed for good. After her father's approval, whenever she cried, she always found Dae Young besides her. He is her family. Even when she misses her mom for some motherly affection, he somehow managed to fill that void too. She remembers every time she was in physical pain, he had been there for her. Whenever she cried, his coaxing made her feel better. She feels most safe around him.

She remembers she never had to endure any physical pain alone, he took great care of her. Like now, he is holding her to his chest and softly speaking encouraging words to her. He had also been very careful about her mental health. He knows she misses her mother. Especially after delivery, she has been in a very vulnerable state. She misses her mother. She cried about her earlier too. But he doesn't push her to say anything. He just makes sure she knows he's there for her. He holds her to him. That helps her to calm down. Even sometimes despite her telling him to leave her alone, one kiss or two helped calm her down.

Suddenly, the baby started crying loudly. He told her to stay there. He got up, took the baby, gave the baby a bottle, fed her, walked a bit to settle the baby and as soon as she was asleep again, he came back to Myeong Joo with a hot water bag. Carrying her in his arms, taking her to bed. There he massaged her neck and back to relax her and then sweeping her tears with his hands, he kissed those swollen eyes. Seeing her in this state, his heart filled with pity for her. 

She had to handle the baby single-handedly. Of course, he is there besides her, but the office hours are long. They get help from others, but it's mostly her. He thought he'd hire a woman tomorrow to help her. He wondered why that thought hadn't crossed his head earlier. It's because Myeong Joo is very independent. She usually doesn't get any help. She keeps saying that she doesn't want to bother anyone. But it's taking a toll on her mental health. He decided he'd do that first thing tomorrow. 

Then he softly kissed her forehead, cheeks and finally her lips. Then he was softly kissing her neck. He hugged her and kept her tightly held on his chest. Finally, when their hearts are rhythming in sync, they fall asleep.
