The soundcloud files below are audios from Moon Chae Won and Yunho's respective dramas. The dialougue used are supposed to be the voices in Yunho's dream. I added them for the sole purpose for helping readers relate to the characters. I wish Yunho did more dramas tho...so then I could've got more audio files from him...these are all uploaded from my own Soundcloud account. The clips are used from dramas: Innocent Man, and Queen of Ambition. Gifs are not mine. I translated the audio below the files, so people will understand what they're saying~~~~

PM me if soundcloud files don't work...I'll send you a link...oh, and tell me if it's glitching or anything...

By the way, this chap is GIF galore....I know writers aren't supposed to be heavily reliant on gifs, and visuals but the large quantity of words make up for it.

Author’s Note: To not confuse people, I’m gonna change the font for each dialogue since I don’t want to indicate who’s talking. Bold is a female voice; normal font is a male voice.

“Omo…is he awake yet?”

“I still can’t believe you brought this guy home Ara-yah…”

“World is a small place, eh?”

“He looks like a Seoul boy…must be snobbish!”

“Chill-bong-ah!! He’s not like that!! He’s very sweet…looks a bit cold, but he has a very warm heart~~”

“How do you know?! Did you meet this guy before?!!!”

“I went to school with him back in the day…”

“You went to school with this guy?!!!!!”

“Yeah…high school…back in 2006 when I transferred from Jeollan-do!!”

“What?!! What was your relationship with this random fellow?!!”

“We were just friends in high school okay?!! He’s not some random guy Chillbong-ah…”

“Whatever…he gives me a bad vibe…looks like a snobbish dude who can’t handle country life…hmppph…”

“Aigoo Chillbong-ah…you’re just jealous because he’s a man…am I right?? Don’t worry Chillboongie…with this guy’s wealth, and looks…he’s probably taken by some nice, pretty girl okay? So don’t feel threatened…”

“Threatened? Me! Huahuahuahauahauhauahauhauhauahauauaaaaa~~~~~me?? Aish Ara-yah…I don’t feel…huahuahua…I don’t feel threatened!!!! This guy has nothing on me, okay?? I bet he can’t even chop wood…aigoo…”

“Aish Chillbong-ah!! Just go and warm the soup up for breakfast…aish, you’re annoying me…”

“Whatever, Ara-yah!! It’s your fault and that’s why I’m like this!!!!!!”

“Aigoo…shut up and heat the stove Bongbong-ah!!”

“What the heck is Bongbong-ah??”

“Your new nickname!!!”

“My new nickname?? Am I dog??”

“Yeah, you are…now go and heat the stove!!”

“Fine…fine…”

"OMO!! He's waking up!!!"

Awakened by ear-piercing bickering, I blinked back my drowsiness, I taking in the unfamiliarity of my surroundings.

The atrocity of the room’s decor brought immense pain to my eyes as I aborbed the sunflower-printed wallpaper within my sight. Maghogany coloured floors took every inch of the ground, its age showing as deep indents marked upon the wooden boards. Pink, cotton curtains draped over the windows, letting in the morning sun’s radiance. Floral printed lamps were placed on each bedside table, emphasizing the floral, vintage theme that seemed to be intentional.

Where the heck am I? Who were these people, and why were they staring at me? What happened last night? Was I kidnapped? I thought I died? Why am I still alive? Why are these people so creepy?

“Yunho-yah!!” the girl in front of me shrieked.

I rose from my position, surprised by the sound of my name coming from her own mouth.

“Who are you?!”  I asked, inching backwards.

The woman and the man exchanged glances, seeming taken aback.

“I thought you knew him,” he whispered.

Um. I could hear you know?

“I swear…it’s him…it’s Yunho…”

“Are you sure it’s a look-alike? Many people mistake me for Yoo Yoon Seok…maybe you mistaked him for that Yunho…”

“Yunho…” she said, darting her gaze towards me. “Don’t you remember?” she asked as she batted her hazel eyes, soon leaning towards my face.

Why was she close? I’m scared. I want to go home, and I want to hide. Who the hell is this girl? How does she even know me?

“Um…no,” I said, shaking my head as I furrowed my eyebrows together.

“Aigoo!!! You really have bad memory, eh???” she exclaimed.

I was met with a sudden smack on the shoulder from the woman with the atrocious-looking bob hairdo, causing me to rub my shoulder in hopes to subside the pain.

“Ow!!!” I shrieked.

“Yah!!! Ara-yah!! Why did you hit him???!!!” the guy beside her asked.

“Because he can’t remember me!!!” she whined.

What a loud pair these two were, I swear my ears were going to fall off from listening to them talk with their satoori.

“Well then just tell him who you are!! Why are you making things so complicated…aigoo…” the guy said, while scratching his head as he made a face at her.

“Yunho…remember me from Class 8? Go-Ara?” she asked.

By the way, there’s a new girl in our class. Her name is Go-Ara. The teacher assigned her to sit at the empty desk beside me.

She’s really pretty. I know I shouldn’t be saying this since you know…Jaejoong will get jealous and all, but she really is. She has brown, long hair and her eyes are hazel?

All the guys in my class are crushing on her…aish…pigs

Could…could she be that girl…that girl who got hit by the flower pot? The girl who was interested in me back then? I couldn’t remember her face, but I definitely knew her name.

So…this was Go-Ara.  Full, thick bangs covered her forehead, resembling a mushroom on her head. The hairstyle was cut shaggily, her brown locks somewhat feathering outwards. The cut ended at her chin, but despite the strange hair cut, her beauty shined. She had big, dazzling eyes that were the shade of emerald. In that small face of hers, she had bright, distincitive features; ones that couldn’t be mimicked with plastic surgery. Tall nose, and a small, but plump mouth.

Telling from her thick accent, this girl was definitely from the country. But then, if she’s from the country, did that mean I was out of the city too? The guy beside her also spoke in satoori.

I remember taking a taxi to a place far from Seoul…which probably explained my current situation.  I remember taking a taxi to a place far from Seoul…which probably explained my current situation. Then, the eerie thought of the late night hike comes to mind.

“How did in your guy’s house?” I asked, glancing around the room.

“Aigoo…I decided to go for my morning hike…and then I saw you unconscious at the path…you looked so pitiful…but then when I got a closer look at you…I was like ‘hey, isn’t that Yunho???’…so then I piggybacked you all the way from the woods to here…” Go-Ara explained.

“Wait…you piggy backed me?!!” I exclaimed, amazed by her strength.

“My Ara is very strong ya know?” the man remarked.

“Especially in dodgeball!” Go-Ara exclaimed.

I couldn’t believe I was actually in Go-Ara’s house. How small was the world for me to end up here? Was God playing tricks on me again?

“So…I was…on the ground?”

“Thought you were dead!” Go-Ara exclaimed. “Seems like you slipped on that big ol’ rock on that slope!!”

So that explained why I was here.

“Seoul boys aren’t so good in hiking…aren’t they? They’re good at walking in big, crowded streets though,” the man jeered.

How rude of him. I could knock out that set of straight teeth of his if I could. Well, if I regain the strength of my old self, which seemed to not have happened yet. I was still weak, unsure, and cowardly. So cowardly, that I hiked in the midst of the woods in the middle of the morning in hopes to dodge my problems. Well, that seemed to have not worked Jung Yunho. Now I was under the care of two stranger, uncertain of what the future would hold. Avoiding life’s obstacles weren’t beneficial in anyway-it just resulted in bigger messes, and longer grudges. I should’ve learnt that from the start.

“So…” I said. “Are you two…married?” I asked.

“Of course!!” they both said in unsion.

Looking at the both of them, I was a bit jealous of their relationship. The two seemed to really love each other. Their lives seemed so peaceful too, despite their loud bickers. I couldn’t help but wonder how it would feel to share a life with the one you loved.

“Yunho-yah…let’s go eat…” Go-Ara said, standing up from the ground, where she previously kneeled on. The guy beside her followed suit as he rose up.

I stretched my limbs, soon putting my weight on the ground as my feet conquered the floor. I lead myself to the exit of the room, trailing behind Go-Ara. Every step felt painful and bothersome, in result of the fall from last night. I dragged my feet, taking my pace slow as I tried to fight the soreness away.

“We have to be quiet…since my gomo is sleeping,” Go-Ara whispered.

Oh, you definitely weren’t quiet prior to now.

The man sat on the chair facing the round, wooden table. I stood in the spot, surveying the room.

The living room, kitchen, and the dining room all shared one space, fitting together nicely like a puzzle. Warm, mute colours took over the interiors as orange, plump, stripe-printed couches surrounded a rectangular coffee table. Wooden panels enclosed the space. A small, boxy T.V stood against the wall, facing the couch. Right now, a program consisting of dancing pop idols graced the screen, playing ‘Twice Cheer Up’. A vintage-printed rug laid beneath the table, tying the interior together. An array of antiques decorated the wooden shelves, along with framed pictures that contained a family inside. I stepped towards the shelf, taking interest of the decorations.

I looked into the frame, eyeing the people in the picture. A young-looking Go-Ara who was dressed in a school uniform stood at the left side, while an old, plump lady with permed hair stood in the center. In front of Go-Ara and the old lady was a man in a wheelchair. All of them looked happy as smiles lit up their faces.

“Is this your family?” I asked, poining to the frame. It’s so obvious that it’s her family, but I had nothing else to talk about.

“Oh…” Go-Ara said, stepping away from the steaming stove. “Yeah…”

Soon, Go-Ara was an inch behind me as I caught the smell of pepper. “That’s my auntie…” she said, pointing to the old lady.

Somewhat, the old lady looked familiar. Have I seen her before? Why…why did her eyes give me a strange feeling?

“And that man…he’s my uncle,” Go-Ara said.

“Ah…nice family you have…” I said.

“Yeah…well…I guess it was nice. My auntie was barely home though…”

“Why?” I asked.

“Well, she worked at some Chaebol’s house…so she had to sleep there most of the time…”

“Wow…a chaebol?” I asked, gasping. “Do you know what company?”

“A…a food company…oh wait…” she said, scratching her head. “Oh right!” she said, snapping her fingers as if she figured out something.

“What?” I asked, dumbfounded.

“That’s right! That’s right!! She worked for your family Yunho-yah!!! The Jung’s household…”

Wait? What?! Last night, and now today…there’s always a flood of surprises for me, weren’t there?

“What…what’s her name?”

“My auntie’s name is Lee Mi Ran.”

Diary:

There’s one maid that I don’t like. I’m considering on whether to fire her or not. I may not have my father’s power, but she seriously pisses me off. She’s really stubby, and she gives Jaejoong and I dirty looks. She can give me dirty looks, but not Jaejoong. Her name is Lee Mi Ran, and she is an old, spiteful woman. She’s the one who delivers the medicine to my dad. She’s extremely close to him.

Perhaps…was that Lee Mi Ran the maid that I strongly despied back in my teenage years? Due to my faulty memory, I wasn’t too certain…but it had to be her. She’s the only Lee Mi Ran I talked about in my journals. It had to be that maid…

“Wow…the world…it’s very, very small…” I said, still shaken by Go-Ara’s relation with that maid.

“It is…isn’t it?” she asked.

“Yahhh!! The soup is ready!!!!!” the guy from behind called out.

“Yunho-yah…let’s eat, eh?” Go-Ara said, soon turning to the realms of the kitchen.

~~

“Wahhh~~~Ara-yah…this is soup is really, really, really good…” the guy said, drawing a thumbs up.

“It’s expected!!” Ara said, slurping her soup.

The sundubu jijdae (soft tofu soup) was exceptional. So exceptional, that my stomach was going to burst from its richness. Especially dipped in soup, it was the best. The liquid was the shade of bright orange due to the pumpkin mixed in. The pumpkin’s distincitive flavor and the punch of garlic, along with the tofu’s soft texture made it the best breakfast I’ve ever eaten.

But, despite the soup’s exquisiteness…Jaejoong’s cooking was unrivled. For the first time in months, I skipped Jaejoong’s breakfast-which was an absolute rarity considering how good his fried rice was. Realizing this fact, the absence of Jaejoong becomes more obvious.

I don’t miss him…I just missed his food…that’s all. Right?

Why was I even missing him? It’s only been 18 or so hours that I haven’t seen him. It’s not like he died or anything, right? Jung Yunho, you’re going crazy. Think about what Heechul said, think about Jaejoong’s intentions…

“Yunho-yah…enjoying the soup?” Go-Ara asked from across the table.

“Oh…yes!” I said, nodding.

“Seems like it,” the guy said, peering over my bowl. “Seoul boy finished half of it!”

“His name is Yunho…” Go-Ara said, making a grimace towards her husband.

“So what’s your name?” I asked the husband.

“Me?” he asked.

“Of course you!!” Go-Ara exclaimed, raising her spoon.

“Oh…it’s Kim Seo Joon…but they call me ‘Chilbong…if you’re really close then Chilbong-ah~~” he said, taking another sip of his soup. This guy seemed really passionate about his name.

“Just call him Chilbong…we’re all friends right?” Go-Ara said.

“Yeah…I guess,” Chilbong said, glancing to the side.

“So…Go Ara-ssi, um…how’s your auntie?” I asked. Why did I ask such a random question at the dinner table? Am I going crazy?

“Oh…” she said, shifting her eyes back and forth, her voice somewhat quitter than usual. “She’s doing fi-,”

“She’s a total wreck,” Chilbong abruptly cut in, soon tossing his spoon in his empty bowl.

“Yahh!!! She’s not a wreck!!!” Go-Ara exclaimed, raising a hand towards Chilbong’s head.

“Yes she is…that woman…is totally crazy.”

“She’ll hear you!!” Go-Ara hissed.

“Whatever…she’s probably sleeping,” Chilbong said, slumping in his chair.

“Why…why is she crazy?” I asked.

“Um…um…” Go-Ara said, her usual spunk overtook by worry as she stuttered her words.

“I’ll tell the story…” Chilbong said.

“No…I will!!” Go-Ara chimed. “Well…when my auntie stopped working for your house…she…I don’t know why…but she kinda got…you know…crazy,” Go-Ara said, spinning her index finger near her head, gesturing a crazy person.

“Wait…” Chilbong gasped, his eyes bouncing between Go-Ara and I. “Your auntie worked for Yunho-ssi’s family?”

“Yeah…” Go-Ara said, nodding.

“Wow…this is like a drama I swear! Tell us more wifey!!”

“Aish…” Go-Ara said, twisting into a sneer as she shot a look at Chilbong. “Anyways…” she said, her expression returning into its default state.

“…”

“My auntie…it seemed that…that she got traumatized…by the…by the fire…or something like that…I know I shouldn’t bring the house fire Yunho-yah…”

“No…” I gulped. “It’s…it’s okay…”

“Anyways…after the fire thing happened, my auntie…quit working for your family…and then she finally moved back to our house…” Go-Ara explained.

“Do you know…why she quit working for your family?” I asked.

“I don’t know…but…but when she moved back to our house…she seemed really…really weird…and then…”

“Then?” Iasked.

“Well, the week after the fire…I went to my auntie and uncle’s room to get something…since I wanted to borrow my auntie’s perfume…and then I accidentally dropped my hairclip, so then the hairclip went underneath the bed…and you know what I found underneath the bed???”

“What??!!!” Chillbong asked, very intruiged by this whole thing. I couldn’t blame him. The suspense was intensifying by each following word.

“I found…” the shade of Go-Ara’s face vanished into a pale grey. “I found stacks of cash underneath the bed…”

That seemed so strange, and abrupt too. What was the cause of having that much cash? And why did Go-Ara’s family keep the cash underneath the mattress?

“Ara-yah!! Are you kidding us right now??!!! There’s no way…” Chillbong said, dumbfounded as he blinked rapidly in disbelief. “How come you just told me about the cash thing?!!! You only told me about the fire...”

“Well…I didn’t have the chance to tell you okay?!!!”

“How much cash was there? Do you know the estimate?” I asked.

“Maybe millions of won…there was so much stacks underneath that bed!”

I let out a gasp, astonished by the amount of money.

“How come the cash was hidden underneath the bed?” I asked, trying to get more answers.  “Do you think the piles of cash were…were newly delivered? Or were they there for a long time already?”

“I don’t know…” Go Ara said, scratching her head. “But…I know that cash wasn’t there before until that day! I help my uncle and auntie clean their house, and since my auntie wasn’t at the house most of the time ‘cause of her job, and ‘cause my uncle was in a wheelchair, I had no choice but to also clean their room!”

“Do…do you know how she got that cash?” I asked.

“Well…I asked my auntie ‘bout it, but she never told me why…she snapped at me and told me to mind my own business!!!”

“Maybe she stole it,” Chilboong remarked.

This was getting too confusing, and I couldn’t wrap my head around anything.

“I really don’t know…but then…something happened

Chapter 52: why do we become masochist?? i seriously love angsty ff... but i usually don't like when there is a cheating(yunho to chae won) and using others for to let out your frustration(yh and jooyeon) or heartache(jj and jicheol)... i felt a bit repulse reading it but the way you depict their emotions and reasoning for each situation make me understand the characters actions in more depth..at the end of it... i don't mind it coz FINALLY JJ GOT HIS BEAUTIFUL ENDING WITH YUNHO... yeah i'm kind of idealist even though i know in reality it is hard to see justice to prevail and true love to be together for a lifetime.... author-nim... thank you for writing this wonderful story as you know sometimes the angsty ff is too much bear like the dark night, the water gleamed under the moon...i actually read the first few chapters and the ending chapter really shook me to my core...

Chapter 52: I gave so much to say but dont know where to start so I'm just gonna wing it....first, it's either the fact that the boys went/going through military service that you typed soldier instead of shoulder or you made typos on purpose to see if we are actually reading your fic. Lol Second, hmm kinda not the ending that I was expecting but I don't hate it not do I like it as much as I loved the other previous chapters you wrote. Third, I was also looking forward on Jae's web novels, they are fun to read. Fourth, kinda wishes there was a trial scene or some sort. Five, I like some parts of the original ending, like Yun running to Jj. Save for the part where it's his wedding day(or is getting marred) with chae won and that they both die. Dude, yes! You got that right, they went through so much already, especially Jj. It's like the angst monster puked at him or smth. And Lastly, I'd you are editing the entire fic, please don't hide the chapters because some of us actually likes the story and plans to re-read it when we feel like we want to be all depressed and wants to have a crying fest!! This fic is BAE. O. K. A. Y?

Chapter 29: I've been reading this fic for these 2-3 days.. I really love the way you depict the story.. everything so real, so vivid, and it's very easy to imagine what happens and how the characters think and feel
Your depiction of the characters is really good!
My heart just aches alongwith Jaejoong's.. how such innocent and shy guy who experienced so much misfortune in his life.. *sigh*
It's sad how life is for him..
lol I'm supposed to be studying for my exams and finishing up my thesis and journal but I keep coming back to this fic haha!
(well I really should be studying right now but reading this fic is a way for me to de-stress hehe)
but my point is, this fic is really good! addictive in a way haha that I want to keep reading and know what happens to jaejoong..
two thumbs up for you!
will probably finish this in a couple of days :P
thank you soooo much for sharing! thank you thank you thank you!!

Chapter 52: "But Yunho’s determination and desperation won Jaejoong’s heart. Jaejoong didn’t need a perfect man. He needed a man who loved him, and Yunho was the perfect candidate. Despite his rough, reckless nature, Jaejoong loved Yunho for his thorns. Even if it pained him, or caused blood to shed, Jung Yunho was the one."

hi, i'm here again \o/ ^my fav paragraph

instead of studying for my paper tmr, i ended up reading this on my phone and bawling my eyes out. you make my heart raced, jumped, sank, and any related adjectives.

the perfect way to describe this story from my perspective would be "crash and burn". there were lotsa of panicking, possessiveness, guilt, self loathe, but most importantly, you showed how both of em truly loved each other. how strong the affections were as if the bond had embedded into their bones.

thank you.
