Irene breathed in, then breathed out as she stepped inside the huge luxurious hall where the school's masquerade-themed party was held.

She looked at her right, then at her left. There were too many people to the point where she couldn't recognize anyone including her friends because of their masked faces.

Too many people.

Not only her senior batch.

But the entire high school peeps.

Her doe eyes examined each person from head to toe and she couldn't help but smile.

Gorgeous boys in fabulous suits. Stunning Goddesses in long maxi dresses, ombre colored chiffon gowns, and pastel short gowns like fairy princesses.

She chuckled at the last one.

Fairy princesses, huh..

They really do exist, don't they?

“Yearning, I'm yearning for the one to steal my eyes.
Wanna play in this game of disguise.

It's a masquerade, a love parade.
So won't you stay and dance with me all through the night and day.

She kept watching them, dancing in sync. She envied them a little bit because she doesn't have a partner. Well, she could say the guy couldn't make it tonight or maybe he found another one.

And just when Irene is about to turn on her heels to go outside to breathe some fresh air, a light tap landed on her slender shoulder.

“Will you have the honor to dance with me?” The voice said, and surprisingly it was a girl.

Irene slowly turned around only to be greeted by a tall girl with an orange-tipped hair, dressed in an ever so stunning orange ombre dress paired with a golden mask.

What a charming girl. Irene said to herself.

“It would be an honor, Princess Charming.” Irene replied, and the other girl giggled at the given name.
