Jinyoung put a glass of water on the table before he took a seat on the sofa beside Danny. Danny then put his head on his mom’s lap, making Jinyoung smiled a bit.

“Umma, where’s grandma?” Danny suddenly asked him. Jinyoung turned silent for a while. He was used to that question coming out from Danny’s mouth. When Jinyoung told him she passed away, he looked confused. Maybe he’s still a kid to understand about that.

“Grandma is not here, Danny.” Jinyoung answered him softly but Danny looked unsatisfied with his answer. He then looked straight into Jinyoung’s eyes.

“Where did grandma went to? I want to see her.” Danny told him. Jinyoung just bit his lower lip as he had no idea what to answer to his question.

“Grandma is not coming back, Danny.” Jinyoung said softly to make his son understand. Hearing those words, Danny then burst into tears and Jinyoung started to panic.

“I want grandma~ I miss her, umma.” Danny sobbed as Jinyoung pulled him into his embrace. Jinyoung’s heart hurts a lot seeing his son in tears. Danny must really loved Geurim as his own grandma.

“Danny, don’t be like this.” Jinyoung tried to persuade his son as he wiped away his tears. But Danny still crying and struggling, making Jinyoung sighed a bit. Then Jinyoung brought Danny to Geurim’s room. He showed Danny Geurim’s picture, making he stopped raging but still crying. Not long after that, Danny felt asleep in his arms as he’s tired from all the crying.

Mark plopped his tired body on the sofa. He then ruffled his hair in frustration. His parents’ words suddenly replayed in his mind. He’s so confused! That’s why he left his parents’ house and went to his own apartment.

“Ah, how could it be like this?!” Mark threw a small vase at the wall hardly, making it shattered into pieces. But Mark didn’t care. He then laid himself on the sofa. He really didn’t know what to do after hearing the facts from his parents. According to the DNA test, Danny is his biological son but he still couldn’t believe it.

Before this, Mark believed that Jinyoung had really stolen his mom’s accessories. He even thought that Danny is his son with another man.

‘Argh! What had I done?! No wonder Jinyoung got really angry when I insulted his son. It’s my son too!’ Mark thought deeply.

Suddenly, his phone rang and Mark instantly picked up the phone.

“Hello, honey~” A sweet voice was heard through the line.

“What is it?” Mark asked lazily.

“I just want to tell you that I’m going to Italy. I’m meeting with my parents. I think I wanted them to know about us. After that, we can get married.” Natalie told him.

“Why don’t you ask me to go too? I want to go with you!” Mark stated as he went to the balcony.

“No, I don’t think it’s a good idea. You don’t need to worry, honey. Let me handle it.” Natalie replied him, making Mark sighed heavily.

“Fine! Do what you want!” Mark snapped a bit.

“Please don’t be mad. I’m just going to meet them and tell them about you. After that, I’ll come back here. When I come back here, we’ll get engaged okay?” Natalie suggested in a bright tone.

“Alright. When will you go?” Mark asked her.

“In two hours from now. Can you fetch me at my apartment and send me to the airport? I want to meet you before I go.” Natalie said, making Mark smiled a little.

2 days later...

“Sir, where are we going?” Jinyoung’s voice snapped Mark to a reality. He’s daydreaming while driving a while ago.

‘How can I daydream while driving? What if I involved in an accident again?’ Mark scolded himself.

“Err, what did you say?” Mark asked Jinyoung who was sitting beside him. Even though Mark had already made a decision, his heart is still uneasy. He didn’t know why.

“I asked you where we are going. We had passed the company building.” Jinyoung said softly as he didn’t want to make Mark angry. Lately, Mark rarely scolded him at the office. Hearing those words, Mark looked outside the car. He totally passed the wrong way. Mark then ruffled his hair in frustration.

“Are you okay, sir?” Jinyoung couldn’t help but asked him.  He’s not that cruel. Mark is still his employer and he must respect him. Furthermore, Mark didn’t prise up about his past anymore.

“I’m fine.” Mark answered him shortly. He felt like his burdens lift a bit hearing Jinyoung’s concern for him. Mark couldn’t help but felt guilty as he remembered what had he done to Jinyoung.

‘Ah, what am I thinking?’ Mark thought.

“Sir, what’s wrong with you? Slow down the car! Where are you going? We should head back to the company!” Jinyoung said as he gripped the car door. Mark sped up his car without himself realizing.

“It’s none of your business! It’s my car! The company is my dad’s!” Mark snapped a little at Jinyoung. He actually felt a bit embarrassed as Jinyoung knew he was daydreaming until he drove to the wrong way. Jinyoung widened his eyes as he heard that.

“Yeah, it’s all yours. But had you forgotten that I’m just working there? I can’t do like what you can do! And I don’t want to die with you!” Jinyoung told him quickly, making Mark smiled a bit.

“Do I look I care? I’m hungry and I want to eat.” Mark said to him. Jinyoung just sighed a bit and looked outside the window. He was too tired to fight against Mark.

Then, Jinyoung’s phone suddenly rang and he quickly picked up the phone. After a few second, Jinyoung’s face turned pale as he heard the news. Mark just looked at him secretly.

“Okay. I’m coming there.” Jinyoung said and ended the call.

“Sir, drop me here. I want to take a leave today. There’s an emergency.” Jinyoung pleaded to Mark. Mark was a bit weird seeing him acting like that but he just ignored it and still driving his car. Seeing how Mark behaved, Jinyoung bit his lower lip.

“Please sir. I don’t have a time to fight with you. Please stop this car now.” Jinyoung asked him again.

“Who asked you to fight with me? If you want to take a leave, give me the reason.” Mark said as in matter of fact.

“It’s personal. You don’t have to know.” Jinyoung answered as he looked away.

“As your employer, I have the right to know. If you don’t give me the reason, you can’t take a leave.” Mark said sternly. He actually wanted to know what his problem is.

“My son is sick. I want to fetch him at the kindergarten.” Jinyoung finally told Mark. Hearing those words, Mark stunned for a while. His son is sick?

“Where is the kindergarten? Show me the way.” Mark asked him without taking his eyes off of the road. Jinyoung looked a bit shocked at his question.

“For what? Just drop me here.” Jinyoung said quickly.

“It’s up to me! For your information, I want to make sure you didn’t lie to me. Now tell me where it is. I will send you there.” Mark said as he looked straight into Jinyoung’s eyes. He actually wanted to meet Danny in person. Jinyoung was hesitated to meet Mark with Danny.

“But I... Okay.” Jinyoung finally agreed as Mark shot him a glare. Jinyoung then looked outside the window as his mind thinking of Danny.
