Nothing but Sweet
A Grand AdventureYunho's POV
There couldn't be a more beautiful sight than this. There just couldn't be. What could be more breathtaking, awe worthy, and heartwarming then the sight of my beautiful wife and my adorable daughter. It was picturesque, the sight of them, and I didn't want to ruin the moment with my presence so I kept quiet. I watched Sunhee smile and laugh merrily, carefully dipping her fingers into the warm water before dripping it down our daughter's body, cleaning her small form away of the sudsy bubbles
I leaned against the door frame and took a minute just to take in this photo of Sunhee bathing Jiyul, loving how simple the view before me was yet so beautiful in it's own way. It's been a week, not too long since Jiyul arrived in this world and to say it was easy was a lie. She wasn't particularly hard to take care of since the baby was only a week old but there was the whole crying and feeding at random hours in the middle of the night thing that was a downer but just like any decent parent would say, the hardships were beyond worth it. Not everyone could have kids and to know that we were the lucky ones was more than enough of a reason to go through the simple hardships.
I continued to watch my wife and daughter interact with one another. Sunhee cooing and awing while Jiyul simply blinked up at her mother. It made me wonder how much lovely this sight would be once Jiyul could speak or squeal. I'd say it'd be the most endearing thing ever and I couldn't wait for the time to come.
Seeing that Jiyul was squeaky clean, Sunhee turned to grab a small, fluffy, towel and that's when she spotted me. “Ahjussi!” She placed a hand on her chest and breathed in to calm herself. And I was actually surprised she didn't jump three feet in the air and screamed her life away at my sudden appearance. “You're home.”
I nodded with a soft smile. “Yeah.” I walked forward into the bathroom and pulled her into my arms, suddenly feeling affectionate. “Sorry I had to leave so suddenly. There was an emergency at work.” I had promised Sunhee, and I was a man of my words, that I would take a couple of months off from my hectic work schedules to spend time with her and Jiyul. Of course, I couldn't completely be away because I was the boss, but I had planned on working strictly at home so I could take care of the two girls but there had been some emergency at the office so I had to leave Sunhee earlier in the day and couldn't come back until late at night.
“It's fine.” Sunhee shrugged casually. “It was an emergency.” She broke away from my hold and turned to Jiyul, wrapping the little baby in a warm towel and scooping up our daughter into her arms. She dried the little girl carefully before kissing her forehead, cooing at the baby lovingly.
“Do you need help with dressing her?” I kindly offered, trailing after my wife and daughter as they walked away to the nursery.
“That's okay.” My wife gently rejected while setting Jiyul on the changing table. “You've been at work all day, you must be tired.”
“I'm not.” I was quick to deny, already right beside Sunhee's side. “You're probably tired with taking care of the baby all day.” Sunhee chuckled, her laughter as light and tinkling as usual. “I'll be fine. You go change, okay?”
Reluctantly, I agreed. I wanted to stay back and let Sunhee rest and dressed Jiyul myself but with a quick shove and slap on the , Sunhee pushed me out of the nursery and closed the door on me. I had half a mind to be angry with her but another part of me excepted the fact my wife just kicked me out of a room. I shook my head in amusement and walked away into my bedroom, planning to take the quickest of showers and spend the smallest amount of time getting dressed so
