Jiyeon’s POV

Last night was terrible. I got severe headache, and I can’t sleep. But when I finally fall asleep, I got nightmare. I very terrible nightmare that I wish I can forget. When I woke up in the morning, my body was sweating a lot. I sigh. When will I get a perfect wonderful life, for only a day of perfect life is more than enough. But how will I get that kind of life with these problems around me?

I’m tired of crying. I wish nothing will happen today. I will spend the whole day in my house today so everything will work smoothly. I open the backside door to feed my cat, and suddenly I saw a middle age woman is smiling at me, which is my friendly neighbor, Auntie Kim.

“Good morning auntie. Have a good day.” I said to her and I saw she replied my smile.

“Jiyeon ahh, there’s a handsome guy in front of your house, since morning. I think you don’t realize him.” Auntie Kim suddenly said makes me flustered for a while.

“Thanks auntie. I’ll go now.” I said before I rushed inside.

What guy? In this early morning? And even my neighbors saw him. Is it chanyeol again? What should I do with him? Maybe I should just slow talk and be honest with him. I walk to the window to take a look outside. I saw a guy is sitting on the staircase while scrolling his phone screen. It is baekhyun. Did he waits since last night? That’s impossible.

I quickly open the door and baekhyun got surprised. He turns his head and automatically gets up from the stairs, facing me. I can see the eye bags under his small eyes. His hair looks quite messy than usual. I thought he’s been waiting since last night but he is wearing different clothes. I sigh in relieved. Baekhyun shows me his warm cute smile and I really can’t stand it. His smile really makes my heart fluttered.

“Come in.” I said while walking inside.

Baekhyun is following behind when I am heading to the kitchen to take him some water, but before I could do anything, baekhyun suddenly take my hand, from behind makes me stop. I remain frozen at the spot, do not care about turning my body facing him. But suddenly I feel a pair of arms around my body. The back hug makes my heart fluttered even more.

“Don’t hate me… please…” He suddenly said, half whispering.

“Who said I hate you?” I replied.

“You left just like that last night. You didn’t open the door last and you didn’t answer my calls.” Baekhyun said and in his voice there’s a sad tone.

“I’m sorry baek. I need time for myself so that’s why… I’m so sorry.” I said, trying to explain.

“You’re not trying to avoid me right?” Baekhyun asked while release his arms off my body.

What should I tell him? I was trying to avoid him but I afraid I will hurt him if I tell the truth. I think now it’s time for me to be honest to him about chanyeol. He had the rights to know. Moreover, if I tell him, everything might get clear so I don’t have to act in front of him anymore. So the problem can be solved step by step. So first of all, I have to tell him everything about me and chanyeol. I know he will understand.

“Baekhyun… actually I...” I was about to tell him that I’m chanyeol’s ex-girlfriend when suddenly his phone is ringing.

“Wait…” Baekhyun stopped me from continuing my words.

I nod and baekhyun is staring at his phone for a few seconds before he finally answering the call. Is it only my illusion or he really talks rudely right now. I never heard him talking like that, not even once with his friends or anyone. Who is he talking to? I can hear the tense conversation although he’s standing a few feet away from me.
