Sorry for the really lame ending of chapter 1 ._. LOL This story is in the narrator’s POV. It might change later. But this is it for now.

It was finally the end of the day. You packed your books up and got ready to leave. You and Yu-ri usually left together so you waited for her to finish.

As you watched her pack, you sang, “Yu-ri~! What do you want to do today? We don’t have any school work yet anyways.” She thought and replied, “Hmm, let’s go to that new café down the street? I’m craving waffles today.”

You smiled and nodded. She finished packing and linked arms with you as you both walked out of the classroom and into the hallway.

Going out after school was very out of your character, as you usually just went home with Yu-ri and studied; occasionally inviting her over. But today and the next few days would be an exception since summer school almost started.

You walked down the street with Yu-ri, guiding you since you didn’t know where this new café was. She suddenly stopped walking for a second, turned to you, and stared at you with a mischievous smile. She turned back straight ahead and kept walking. My best friend is crazy. Why did she look at me like that?

“Hana. What do you think of the new student?”, Yu-ri said, still looking straight but with a cute smile. “Wh-What do you mean?.... Luhan.. He seemed nice. Look, he’s already popular. Our classmates seem to like him already. But it's because he’s cute, I guess.”, you admitted, but confused with her question. Yu-ri’s smile got bigger when she heard that last part.

“Why do you keep smiling?... DO YOU LIKE HIM?”, you gasped. This came as a shock because your best friend didn't usually like guys in that way. She laughed for the longest time, bringing tears to her eyes because of your reaction. She wiped the tears away and honestly said, “N-hahahahah-No-o. Hahahahahah!” She laughed a bit more and calmed herself down then said, “You know I wouldn’t like such a pretty boy like him. What I need is a man, liiiiiiike~ Mr. Wu. Gosh, Hana, I thought you knew me. But, I really don’t like him. I haven’t even talked to him yet.” She lightly slapped your arm.

"Oh, mian-hae. The way you smiled threw me off. That's tru-.... MR.WU?!? Eww, oh my gosh, Yu-ri! He's our English teacher! Pleaaaase don't mention him again.", you barked, "Why did you suddenly ask me about him? And why were you smiling? You're so creepy somtimes, I swear." 

"Oh shut up. He's HOT. H-O-T, hot. Besides that, I asked because he kept stealing glances at your during class. AND you're the only person he smiled at today.", she grinned. What. Mr. Wu. Did she just.....WAIT. Luhan did what?!... Yeah, right. She's such a , always trying fooling me.

Knowing your best friend, she was most likely teasing you as always. She does this when you speak to the male seniors, or just speak to males in general. This was because you never liked anyone, as in more than friends. This was true. You never let any guy past your wall.. except for Suho, of course. You guys were best friends, but not as close as you and Yu-ri were. You only became best friends with him after getting your heartbroken by him multiple times, then giving up on your crush on him because you were tired of getting hurt. After only a few months of just platonic friendship on your side, he moved away, which was a year ago, but kept in contact with him up until two months earlier. Unfortunately, replies got shorter and less frequent, then no more messages were sent after one random day. You missed him but things just weren't the same. After Suho left, you decided that you wouldn't fall for anyone until you reached the end of your school career. You thought it would just mess up the straight path you had set for yourself. 

"Uhhh, Yu-ri, he was probably looking at you.", you told her. She sat right beside you so she could have mistaken where he looked. "Nu-uh, he was totally looking at you. He didn't even look away when I stared at him. He probably even looked at you 50 times today.", she argued. Yu-ri, you're so creepy. 

You just sighed and rolled your eyes at her. She saw that you did and said, "Fine, fine. I know you don't care. I just wanted you to know. Anyways~ Here we are!" 

You didn't realize that the cafe was just a 10 minute walk from school. The cafe was to your left. As you approached it, you took a good look at the name. Game Cafe. The cafe looked very cartoon-ish, and seemed to appeal to students. The cafe was board game themed, so you order drinks and/or food, and play any games you want to within the amount of time you bought. There were hundreds of board games along the walls of the cafe, it looked like a library with the boxes of games. You noticed how busy the cafe was from outside the window. There were students lined up outside. Wow, how the heck are we going to get a seat? The line up looks like it'll take us an hour. 

Yu-ri pulled you inside and waved at a group of people. Half of your class was already sitting at a large picnic-style table. They got there 10 minutes before the rush of students came. You sat down at the end of the table, and gave your order to one of the waiters. Yu-ri did the same. Everyone already ordered before you got there.

You didn't notice Luhan sitting among your classmates. He was staring at you the whole time. Yu-ri wasn't lying when she said she saw him looking at you during class. Of course, you wouldn't notice though.

"Hey guys! You asked me to bring Hana, so here she is. Happy?", Yu-ri barked. "What are you talking about?", you asked her. 

"We begged Yu-ri to bring you here. You never come when we invite youu.", Minseok cutely said, pouting. 

You felt guilty because you turned down all of their offers during the school year when they asked you to hang out or go to parties. "Ah, mian-hae. I didn't mean to, I was so worried about my studies. But I'll try to come in the summer and next year.", you apologized, and gave them puppy dog eyes for forgiveness. 

"AH! Stop with that! Okay, we forgive you. I can't stay mad at those eyes. Make sure you come next time!", Minseok smiled, "So, everyone has ordered, right? So, what do you guys want to play?" 

There were about 10 people there, including you and Yu-ri, so a game that will allow at least 10 people playing was hard to find. Yu-ri kept arguing with everyone else with what game to play while you looked around the cafe. 

After a while of listening to them argue, the drinks and food finally arrived. Lattes, waffles, macarons, and cookies were being placed on the table. When you got your drink, you noticed they got it mixed up with someone else's. Luhan got up and walked towards you, but you didn't notice. However, Yu-ri noticed and ran to Luhan's spot, locking herself in place. She wanted Luhan to sit beside you. 

Luhan switched his drink with yours and sat down beside you. You saw that he gave you the vanilla latte and he took the green tea latte that was first in front of you. "Kamsamnida.", you thanked him and took a sip of the drink you originally ordered, not noticing he ended up sitting beside you. He didn't say anything and looked towards the group. 

They finally chose a few games. You played with them for 2 hours, with 5 different games. And everyone paid, left, then headed in their own direction. 

You didn't notice that Luhan didn't touch the green tea latte he got after he switched with yours. He was very quiet, even during game play when everyone was yelling. He was new anyways so it was just natural.

Earlier...

Luhan knew you ordered a vanilla latte. All his attention was on you when you arrived. He knew you might come because everyone kept talking about sneakily asking your best friend to drag you. He couldn't take his eyes off you since the moment you entered the classroom and helped him in the morning. He didn't have a crush on you (at least he thought he didn't), yet there was something different about you that he couldn't help but notice.

When your drink came, he saw that you weren't very happy that you got the wrong order. He wanted you to have the vanilla latte he got. Luhan also ordered a vanilla latte but he wanted to talk to you so he switched with yours. He didn't exactly like green tea so he pushed the drink aside and played with the others. Unfortunately, all you did was thank him and not notice him at all after the switch. He was too shy to start a conversation with you, so he sighed but was glad he could sit next to you. Too bad you were kind of ignorant sometimes, and just thought that your orders got mixed up.

You and Yu-ri took the same bus home after since you two were neighbours. She couldn't help but giggle and smile because she noticed what Luhan was trying to do at the cafe but failed miserably. Yu-ri had a feeling that Luhan might be someone who might turn your straight path in life into a curved, bent, or just plain messy one. 

Who knew she would be right...
