Mi Sun P.O.V

“Stop putting that thing on my eye.” I said.

Juri pokes her tongue on her cheek and shakes her head. “Well that thing happens to be the eye liner.”

I heard my mom laughing from the back as she does my hair. “Can I come too?” she asks.

“Mama!”

“Oh that’ll be great!”

“Juri!”

They both laugh. “It’s a joke dear.”

I pouted and look into the mirror. “My eye feels sticky.”

“Urgh, you and you’re never ending comments on make ups.”

I stood up and sit on my bed.

“You’re turn, Juri dear. How do you want your hair to be like?”

I check my phone as Juri told my mom what she wanted.

What colour dress are you wearing to the dance?  - Gong Chan

I smile and reply him.

Red. Juri is wearing pink.

Okay. I’ll meet you girls at the main entrance. Pyeong!– Gong Chan.

“What’s so funny?” my mother asked.

I didn’t even realize I was laughing. “Oh? Nothing. Gong Chan’s trying to be cute again.”

“Ah…So who’s Gong Chan’s date?”

“Eh?” I looked at the mirror and saw Juri’s reflection. She was putting on her lip balm, not reacting to that question.

“Erm..He didn’t ask any of us actually.” I said.

My mom gave me a ‘Are you sure’ look. “How about you, Juri?”

“I, er….my date is Mi Sun! Right?”

I gave out a small laugh. “Of course!”

Well, it’s really the truth, none of them as me to be their date. They just ask me whether I’ll be there or not.

That doesn’t count right?

Gong Chan P.O.V

I check the time on my watch again.

“Yah.” Baro said. “That’s the 7^th time you’ve been checking it.”

“Relax.” Sandeul said. “There’ll be here.”

I don’t know why I was feeling so nervous all of a sudden. Maybe it’s because I’ve decided to do it today.

I sigh again, causing the boys to hit me on my head.

“That hurts!”

“Oh!” Sandeul pointed. “They’re here!”

They were chatting and walking hand in hand. Mi Sun trip on her own heels while Juri just laughs at her.

She’s beautiful.

They don’t seem to realize we’re actually standing at the door until Mi Sun trip again.

On reflex, I run forward and caught her.

“Oh my gosh, thank you.”

I straighten her up as she was still holding on my arm.

“Girl.” Juri giggles. “Maybe you should just walk barefoot.”

“Oh I would love too.” She laughs.

“Shall we go in?” Baro said.

“Oh yes of course. I’ll take her.”

Juri pull her from my grip and walk in with her.

Maybe I’ll do it later. Yeah, I’ll just do it later.

Baro P.O.V

I was busy admiring the decorations around the hall while the rest were busy talking to their friends.

“Pretty good right?” I heard Mi Sun said.

“Huh? Oh yeah, it’s nicely decorated.”

“Mmhmm. Look! There’s even fake snow! Can I play?”

I laugh at her as she looks around with her hand behind her back. How adorable can she be?

“Do you want to play?” I ask her.

“Can we?”

“I’m sure we can.”

I reach out and touch her arm causing her to jump. She looks down at our hands when I slip mine into hers.

“B-baro..”

“Shall we?” I ask.

I pull her forward and started walking.

I swear I saw her blushing.

Jin Young P.O.V

“You look pretty today.”

I roll my eyes when I heard Shin Woo flirting with girls again.

“Yah.” I tap his shoulder. “Stop doing that it’s embarrassing.”

“What?” he said. “I’m trying to find someone to dance with me. I don’t have the whole school girl population chasing after me, unlike you.”

“You can dance with them. I’m not interested.”

“Ah.” He said, straightening his tie. “You only want to dance with her, am I right?”

I feel my face heating up.

“Hmm..speaking of that, isn’t that her?”

“Where?” I quickly turn my head to the direction he was pointing.

She was playing with the fake snow they decorated at the corner of the hall.

“Oh, looks like she already has a date.” Shin Woo said. “Who is he?”

I walk forward to see who the guy she was holding hands with.

“Baro?”

“Wow!” Shin Woo said. “You’re too late brother.”

No way. This can’t be true.

“I’ll be back.” I said to him before walking to them.

“What? Hey! Don’t interrupt their date!”

Mi Sun P.O.V

I was dusting off my hands after I touched the fake snow.

It was just porcelain and cottons with glitters, but it looks really real.

“Here.” Baro said, handing me some tissues.

“Thanks.” I reach out and take it but he held it.

“Let me help.”

I gulp as he wipes my hands slowly.

Dear heart, why are you beating so fast? Am I going to die?

“Mi Sun.” he said softly.

“Y-yes?”

He chuckles as he turns my palm over.

“I heard that we have a dance later.”

“Oh yes. What about it?” I said.

He stops wiping and look up at me, straight into my eyes.

“If it’s erm…possible.. Will you, save the last dance for me?”

Before I could answer, someone called my name. I quickly yank my hands off from his.

“J-Jin Young oppa!” I literally scream.

 “Hey.” He said, looking from me to Baro.

“Hey hyung. Looking good.”

“Same to you, Baro.”

Okay. This is awkward.

“I’ll go to the washroom.” I said, shaking my hands.

“Okay.” Baro said. “I’ll be with the others.”

“Sure.” I nodded and left.

Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder.

“Yes Baro?” I said. “Opps.”

Jin Young was frowning. “I’m not Baro.”

“S-sorry.”

“So…” he said. “Are you both really together?”

“I-..nono of course not. We’re f-friends.”

“Really?”

I nodded my head. “R-really.”

Gosh I’m stuttering.

“Oh good.” He said, smiling a little. “So before I miss my chance…”

Chance? What chance?

“I was wondering…if you could save the last dance for me.”

“Eh?!” I quickly clamp my mouth after I blurt that out.

Jin Young looks shock. “I’m sorry if I-”

“No, I was just…”

“Mi Sun?”

I turn around when I heard a voice calling my name.

“G-gong Chan?”

It looks like he just walks out from the washroom.

“Hi, hyung.”

“Hey.” Jin Young greeted him.

“Wassup?” Gong Chan asks.

“Nothing, just saying hi.” He said. “I’m heading back, see you guys in there?”

“Sure. Bye hyung!”

He whispers into my ear before he said goodbye to Gong Chan.

“Last dance.”

I was too stunned to even do anything.

“Yah, hello? Earth to Mi Sun?” Gong Chan waved his hand in front of my face.

“Huh?”

“You look lost.” He said.

“Oh, uh…”

“Is that glitter on your face?”

I touch my face and realize I’ve gotten glitter on my face when I cupped my mouth earlier. “Oh…”

He shook his head and came to me. “Stay still.”

He brings his hands up and wipes my face gently, brushing over my lips a few times.

I had this tingly feeling in my stomach all of a sudden, and it won’t stop.

“Mi Sun.” he exhale.

“N-ne?” Why am I feeling so nervous today?

“Remember how I would always be your date in every event?”

I nodded my head, causing his hand to brush over my lips again.

“So am I your date too this time?”

I blink my eyes a few times. “Erm, I guess? What about Juri?”

“What about her?” he said while caressing my chin.

“D-don’t you want t-to ask her to d-dance?”

He sighs. “I don’t know.”

“Don’t you like her?” I blur out.

Then, he stops caressing my chin but bring his hand up to my cheek.

“I like her.”

Why, why does my heart feels so heavy? I knew all along he like her. But hearing it from his mouth, I felt so disappointed.

Of course he’ll date someone eventually. But he’ll still be my best friend right?

“Mi Sun? You okay?” he asks, tapping my cheek.

“Eh? Oh, yeah.”

“Anyways.” He said. “We’ll do this the usual way.”

“Hmm? What is that again?”

He smiles at me. “Last dance. Me and you. Okay?”

I gulp hard. This isn’t happening. Three boys just asked me to reserve the last dance for them, and I haven’t even given them an answer.

Otteoke?!
