Baro P.O.V

I saw a bunch of male students trying to talk to Mi Sun, laughing over there.

“Something feels weird.” Gong Chan said to me.

“Yeah, let’s go.” I said as I make my way to Mi Sun seat.

Mi Sun P.O.V

“Don’t touch my girl.” he repeated again, putting a protective arm in front of me.

“Wow, relax, we’re just asking for directions.”

“I was watching you all the time.” he said.

The boy put his hands up in surrender. “Alright, I’m sorry. But why aren’t you standing next to your girl? You knew how dangerous it is to let such a cute shy little girl to sit here alone.” he smirks.

I quickly tug his arm before he could grab the boy’s collar.

“Gong Chan, don’t.” I whispered.

“That’s right, listen to your girl.”

“Enough.” I heard Baro saying.

“Oh? Two boys? Damn girl, you’re good.”

This time, Baro grabs his collar.

“Baro!” I almost scream.

It’s like on cue the bus stops at another station.

The guy removes Baro’s hands.  “You’re lucky I get off here.” He then turns to me. “See you around.”

His smile was so frightening that I was actually gripping on Gong Chan’s hand tightly.

“You alright?” he asks me.

“Y-yeah.”

“What did they ask you.” he said.

“Just teasing.”

He frowns. “Told you not to listen to Juri and wear such short skirt.”

“Yah.” I said. “This isn’t short!”

“Well it does attract boys.”

I sigh. “On the bright side, at least I’m pretty.” I try to smile and slap his arm.

“It’s not funny, Mi Sun. What if something really happen?”

“That’s why you’re here.” I smile at him.

He grabs my shoulder and looks straight into my eye. “Can you stop taking this as joke? This isn’t funny Mi Sun. you should stand up for yourself earlier!”

“I-I thought if I ignore them they will s-stop.”

“They won’t Mi Sun, they won’t! That’s why you have to stop them!”

“Okay!” I found myself raising my voice. “Stop yelling at me!”

“I’m not yelling!” he was clearly yelling. “I’m scared for you okay?”

“Well then stop being so protective!” I yell back.

“Hey hey. Not here.” Baro came in between. “She’s fine, right? Let’s not make a scene.”

Gong Chan P.O.V

None of us spoke. I can only hear the sound coming from the cars on the roads as we walk down the stairs.

Protective? Well I admit I am. But she didn’t seem to care during all these years.

“Hey.” Baro nudge me. “You okay?”

I sigh. “Was I wrong?” I asked.

We both look at Mi Sun who was in front of us, her long hair swinging from left to right as she walks.

“Well, you shouldn’t yell at her.” he said.

“I know. I was just, I dunno, angry?”

Baro nodded slowly. “I was scared too, but imagine if you were her.”

I sigh again.

“You are really protective of her.” he said softly.

“Is it bad?”

He looks at me then down at the floor. “Well, ever wonder why Mi Sun haven’t date anyone?” he laughs.

“That’s not the reason, she-”

“I know her reason, and I know you’re her best friend. But other people might get the wrong message.”

“Well, what’s that supposed to mean? Is it bad?”

He shrugged. “Just saying. Nevermind forget what I said.”

I was about to ask him until Mi Sun stop walking.

“Okay.” she said. “We’re parting here.”

I nodded. “Are you mad at me?”

She smiles. “Maybe.”

“Sorry.” I muttered.

She suddenly started laughing as he hit my arm. “You don’t have to call me your girl.” she turns to Baro. “Right?”

He too laughs.

The truth is I don’t even know why I call her my girl.

“Okay, see you tomorrow!” She hugs me and wave.

“See you.” Baro pats my arm and left with her.

I wave back and walk to the opposite side.

I turn around and look at her one last time. Baro was bouncing around her, making her hit his back as he fakes a cry. He then started pointing at an advertisement board and they started laughing.

Baro, you’re really amazing aren’t you.

The more I look at them, my heart started to feel weirder.

“My girl.” I whispered, smiling to myself unconsciously.
