Mi Sun P.O.V

“Baro you should go. It’s almost 6pm.”

“But juri-”

“I don’t care about what juri said. Go home before your parents get worried.”

He didn’t answer me. He was still flipping through some TV channels.

“It’s okay I don’t mind staying. Besides I don’t have a curfew.”

“But still….”

“Oh! Music bank!” he said happily.

I saw him mouthing some lyrics, moving his hands up and down. He must love rap so much.

I’ve been asking him to go home for the pass two hours but he keeps giving me excuses not to leave. Is he really scared of juri? Or he just doesn’t want to be home. But why wouldn’t he want to go home?

“Gosh I love supreme team.”

“Oh its teen top!” I said, and started dancing to supa luv.

“You like teen top?” he asked me.

When I was about to say yes, my phone rang.

“Oh sorry.”

“It’s okay, go ahead.”

I check my screen,  caller ID –mama <3

“Hello?”

“Honey! How are you? Did the vomiting stop? Have you eaten?  No oily food okay? No spicy food either. And drink lots of water. And don’t take-”

“Mama…” I laugh. “I’m feeling better now. And no I haven’t eaten anything, in case it comes out again.”

“Oh okay okay. Are you alone?”

“erm…” I looked at baro, he looked at me.

“oooooooooo…”

“Mama…”

“I knew it! Are you with blazer boy?”

“blaz-? No it’s not him.”

I saw baro looking at me.

“Do you want me to talk to your mom?” he whispers.

“It’s okay.” I whisper back, covering my phone.

“Then who is it?”

“It’s my classmate.” I said, still looking at baro.

“Name?”

“bar- erm sun woo.”

 “What?”

“Sun woo.”

I saw baro smiling when I said his real name.

“How come I’ve never heard of him from you?”

“Well…”

“ahhhh….. I get it now” my mom giggled

“No it’s not that.”

“Anyways, I won’t be coming home for dinner today. We’ve got a new project; we’re designing for WM music academy!”

“Oh wow, that’s great mom! You mean they are renovating?”

“No, they are opening a new one! I’ll tell you more at home. I have to go. Don’t stay up so late. Have you seen the doctor?”

“Yes I have some medicine.” I lied. I hate going to the hospital.

“Okay. Call me if you need anything. Say hello to your friend! And no nonsense please!”

“Mama!”

I heard my mom laughing. “Bye honey. Love ya!”

“Love you too mama.” I hung up.

“What did she say?” baro asked me nervously.

“Don’t worry she’s not mad or anything. She said hi though. Oh she will be home late. You should go home.”

“Why do you keep asking me to go home?”

“Why do you not want to go home?”

“I dunno..”

Did he just say he doesn’t know?

His eyes are glued to the TV screen.

“You’re feeling awkward.’ He suddenly said

Duh.

I didn’t answer him.

“Okay I’ll go. You know where to find me if you need my help.” He said.

I nodded.

“Are you going to school tomorrow?” he asked me as I open the front door.

“I think so.” He nodded.

 “Bye” he smile at me. I waved at him as he walks to the elevator.

Something doesn’t feel right.
