Mi Sun P.O.V

“Yes! I got all correct!”

“Good job, Gong Chan!” Baro said. “Now teach me this question.”

I looked at the two boys sitting in front of me as I flip my book. How I wish I’m as smart as Gong Chan.

After two hours of studying, Baro had to leave.

“Wow, I’m tired.” He said, stretching his arms.

“Me too.” Gong Chan said.

I open the door as Baro put on his shoes.

“Thanks for today. See you in school!”

We waved at him until he disappears.

“Erm, not going home?” I ask Gong Chan.

He shook his head and went back into the house.

“Are you hungry?” I ask him.

“Nope.”

“Okay. You can, erm watch the TV or-”

“Mi Sun.” he said.

“Yes?”

“Don’t you have something to tell me?”

Huh?

“Er…what is it?”

He sighs. “You know what I’m talking about.”

Nope.

“School?” I guess.

“No. Your father.”

I stop packing my things and look up at him.

“How do you-”

“Juri told me.”

Damn you girl!

“I force her too.”

Oh, opps.

“Well, he came back. That’s all.”

He looks at me and shook his head. “I don’t think so.”

“Really.” I lied.

“Mi Sun, you can’t lie to me. I’ve known you since forever.”

Right. Bad thing of having a best friend, they can read you like a book.

I sat on the spot next to him and told him what happen.

Gong Chan P.O.V

Mi Sun turns on the TV after that. The only thing showing right now is Secret Garden, it was on reruns. But I was busy thinking about what Mi Sun just told me.

This isn’t fair. Mi Sun is such a sweet girl; she doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment from her father.

As I was deep in my thoughts, something lightly hit my shoulder. I look down and saw Mi Sun’s head on my shoulder. I smile.

Mi Sun, you never change.

~flashback~

“Yah Juri, why are we watching Winter Sonata?” I asked and scoop my ice cream.

“Shh! I’m trying to watch here!” Juri said while reaching for a piece of tissue.

Juri was busy tearing up while I continued eating my ice cream.

Suddenly I felt something on my shoulder. I looked down and saw Mi Sun sleeping with her hand still holding the ice cream spoon. I chuckled.

Mi Sun is not like other girls. She doesn’t sit in front of the TV and cry her eyes out just for one drama. She prefers action movies. Every time Juri watches them, she always falls asleep.

And she’s doing it again.

I shifted her head to make her more comfortable.

“Why did you leave!” Juri cried at the corner. “Mi Sun, don’t you thi- yah, are you sleeping again?”

“Nothing new.” I said to her.

“Aish, give me that.” she took the tub of ice cream and continued wiping.

I push her fringe out of her face and adjusted her head. She mumbled something but continue sleeping. I lay my head on top of hers.

“It’s been a while since we hang out huh.” I whisper. “I’m hope you’re not replacing me with Baro.”

Mi Sun P.O.V

“Honey, wake up. It’s time for dinner.”

Dinner, right…

“Mi Sun, wake up dear.”

I open my eyes when I felt my whole body shaking.

“Huh.”

My mom is waving her hand in front of me.

“Are you tired? You’re still wearing your uniform.”

“Oh, right.”

Wait a minute, how did I get in my room?

“Did you carry me in?” I ask.

My mom shook her head. “I just got home. You’re already in here.”

Just got home? That means…

“Where’s Gong chan?”

“Gong Chan? He came?”

Oh, did he left before mom comes home? Ommo, did I fall sleep watching TV again?

“Erm yeah. Nevermind, I’ll go take a shower.”

Mom bought dinner on her way home. We ate after heating up the food.

“So, have you called your father?”

I was stunned by the question. It’s obvious I haven’t.

“Mi Sun.”

“I’m not going to the damn wedding, why should I go for the fitting?”

“Stop it. He’s your father.”

“No mom, he is not, okay? He left us. Why are we talking about this again?”

“Honey.”

“You know what.” I got up from the table. “I think I’m full.”

I storm off to my room without even doing the dishes.

I know I’m being foolish, but I have a reason to be.
