Baro P.O.V

“Chocolate mint and erm…”

Mi Sun was biting her lips, trying to figure out which flavor to choose. I walk up to the cashier and handed him the money.

“For both.” I said, pointing at Mi Sun. He nodded and gave me the change.

“Okay! Can you hold this?” Mi Sun held her ice cream out. “I need to find my purse.”

“I’ve paid. Let’s go.”

“Eh?” she stood there with her ice cream.

“Come on.” I said, taking her hand.

We walk out the store. I quickly pull away when I realized I was still holding her hand.

“You don’t have to pay for me.” She frowns

“My treat.” I said, patting her head.

Now where did that come from, Baro?

She blinks her eyes a few times and smiles. “That’s new.”

“Hmm?” I ate my ice cream, pretend not to know.

“You never pat my head before.” She said, touching her head.

“Are you that happy?”

She nodded.

Wait, did she just nod?

Mi Sun P.O.V

Omg did I just nod? Why am I feeling so happy about it?

“I mean…erm..”

Think of something, come on!

“You know, like how you feel happy if your brother pats your head.

Oh my gosh, what kind of nonsense is that?

“Brother?” he looks at me.

“Yeah. Like Gong Chan.”

Oh gosh how did I end up talking about Gong Chan.

He chuckles. “So…you think I’m like a brother?”

“Y-yeah!”

He nods his head and continues walking.

Brother, yeah right.

Suddenly he pats my head.  My heart starts to pound faster than the normal speed.

“Let’s go to the playground.” He said.

“Playground?”

“Yeah. It’s been a while since I play with those kids.”

“Oh, okay.”

He pats my head again.

“Race you there!” he said and run off.

I laugh and run after him.

Baro P.O.V

Brother. She thinks of me as a brother. The word keeps ringing in my head.

I look up at her. She was playing with a baby by the side.

“Hyung!” a boy calls.

“Yeah?”

“Be in our team!”

“No! Be in ours!”

“Not fair!”

I laugh. “Okay. 15mins with you guys, and another 15 with you.”

The boy nods. “Yay, let’s play!”

“Yah.” I said. “Have you guys warmed up?”

The all look at me and shakes their head.

“Aish, you have to always warm up before you play. Now go!”

The all laugh and started running around the playground.

I look back at Mi Sun to find that she is also looking at me.

She smiles and waved at me, doing a thumbs up sign. I waved back.

Brother huh. If only you knew that I wanted to be more than a brother to you.

Mi Sun P.O.V

Baro was passing the ball to a boy and he scored a goal. Baro lifts the boy up and put him on his shoulder.

“Yay!” the boy’s team cheered and hugs each other.

“Good job!” I yelled from the side. They heard it and waved at me.

Baro put the boy down and came up to me.

“Nice one.” I said.

“You think?” he sat down and wipes his sweat with his t shirt.

“Water?” I held up his bottle.

“Thanks.”

He opens the bottle lid and drank it. He runs his hands through his hair as he closes the bottle.

He looks hot.

Did I just say hot?

“What are you staring at?” he asks. I quickly turn away.

“Am I that good looking?”

“Hmm.”

“Eh?”

Oh my gosh I did not just-

“Did you say ‘hmm’ ?”

“No.”

“Yah, you did. I heard it.”

“Shut up.”

He laughs and ruffles my hair. Now that’s new too.

“It’s okay to admire your brother.” He emphasizes on the word brother.

“Hyung!” a boy calls.

“Alright, back to the game!” he said and left.

I fixed my hair and watch them play.

Brother. Why am I so bothered with that word?
