Mi Sun P.O.V

“Noona, do you want more drinks?”

“I’m good. Thank you, taemin-shii.”

The younger one nodded at me and pours himself another glass.

“Oh this is good!”

“Onew hyung, that’s your 4^th serving!” the stylish one said.

“But it’s good! Key, you should eat more. You’re too skinny!” onew said and grab more food for him.

Jin young left me with jong hyun’s friends while he and his cousin are busy with their own relatives.

They call themselves SHINee, which really suits their personality. Each of them is so different, and they are really funny.

“Just ignore them.” the serious one said to me.

“Ne, minho-shii.”

I look around the garden. Juri was right. This is not just a house party. Everyone was well dress. The boys are all in long sleeves button down shirt and a tie, or a vest.

Maybe I should thank her after this. If it wasn’t for juri, I’ll be the odd one out there.

“Hey hey.” Onew came and sat next to me. “Can you crack this?”

“Erm, it’s a nut. You need a nut cracker.”

“Oh nono, you can use your fingers.”

“How?”

“Look.” he said and stood up. He pulls his 3^rd finger using his right hand and release it, making it slams on the nut.

And oh my gosh, it really open!

“Is your finger alright?” I asked.

Key laughed. “Aigoo you are really different.”

Huh?

“Normally when hyung does this, all the girls will go ‘ohh you’re so strong!’ ‘oppa do it again!’ ”

“But instead, you are asking is his fingers alright.” Minho continued.

Erm, okay?

“Am I not supposed to ask?”

They all laughed.

What is so funny?

“Now I know why jin young hyung likes her.” taemin said to key.

“Ooo our taemin is so observant!”

“Our little taemin is all grown up!” onew ruffles his hair.

“Yah don’t touch my hair!”

It’s nice to see them laughing and teasing each other. But then again, what were they talking about?

Jin Young P.O.V

I saw mi sun talking and laughing with jong hyun’s band mates. I was worried she’ll feel left out at first, but it looks like she’s doing well.

“So is this the mi sun you’ve been telling me?”

“Oh jong hyun, finish talking to your mom?”

“Yeah, they’re busy over there don’t worry. So yeah, is this the girl?”

I nodded.

“Hmm.. she seems nice.”

“She is.” I smile as I look at her, clapping her hand, laughing across the garden.

He laughed at me. “Well, I didn’t think that you will really bring her today. I guess I lost the bet. I’ll pay you later.”

“Keep your money. I wanted to bring her here anyways.”

“Thanks bro.” he patted my back. “Now go to her, I’ll call you when your parents are here.”

“Okay.”

“Oh jin young.” Jong hyun said before going back into the house.

“Ne?”

“Just one question.”

“Ne hyung?”

“She’s not friends with you because of our family status right?”

“No. I’ve never told her.”

“She never asked?”

“No. Will she ask?”

“Hmm..soon, I guess.”

“What if she threats me differently after I told her?”

He paused for a moment. “Then she’s using you. So be careful. Don’t make the same mistake I did.”

“I will. Thank you, hyung.”

Jong hyun went into the house while I walk towards the garden.

“Oppa!” a voice called.

I turn and find myself looking at the person that I am not interested to see.

Mi Sun P.O.V

“Hyung be gentle please?”

“Nope, everyone gets the same!”

The boys decided to play some games. One of us will start singing a song, the person next to the first will have to continue singing the song. If the person can’t continue the song, he will be flick on the forehead.

“OW!” key cried and rub his forehead.

“Onew hyung’s fingers are deadly.” Minho said.

“Absolutely!” onew said and kiss his fingers.

“I will win this time!” key said and started singing to a song.

“Geuyeo-ege sarangeun, hansungani neukkimil bbun, mwora haedo naegen sulmui everything” onew continued.

Is this song an oldies? It doesn’t sounds like one though.

“ageunyeo neun eori naega budam surei ungabwa” taaemin sang.

Oh no it’s my turn.

“er…”

They all started laughing.

“What song is this?” I asked

“We wrote it.”

“what? And how do you expect me to know?”

“Well.” Onew said. “What do you think of the song?”

“I don’t know. You guys really wrote it?”

“Yeah. Yah hyung, should we sing the whole song for her?”

“We need jong hyun hyung.”

“It’s okay I can sing his part” minho said.

“You’re a rapper!” they laughed.

“Okay, serious time. Shall we sing the whole song for you?” onew said. I nodded.

“Oh taemin choreographed the chorus. Dance for her, get up!” key pushes him up from the chair.

He scratches his head. “Don’t laugh, okay noona?”

“I won’t.”

“Okay 3sec. We need to warm up our voices.”

They boys started making all sorts of noises, and taemin started stretching but got tickle by his hyungs and ended up falling to the ground.

Then I saw jin young walking towards us. But with a girl.

It was yoo jin.

And he was holding her hand.

Just like how he did to me.

Yoo Jin P.O.V

“Oppa, what is she doing here!”

“I ask her to come.”

“Why?”

“Because I want her to.”

“Oppa, you cannot simply ask some outsider to come!”

“She’s not an outsider. Plus, jong hyun invited her.”

“He did?”

“Yes. And can you stop yelling?”

Oppa never talk back to me. Ever since he met mi sun, he sometimes tells me off.

Mi sun, are you stealing my oppa away?

Are you friends with oppa because you know he’s rich?

I saw SHINee dancing and singing to mi sun.

They never sing to me, why are they singing to her?

“Hey guys.” Jin young said to them.

“Oh, your back!”

They all stop singing and stood up.

“Annyeonghaseyo.” The boys bowed to me.

“Annyeong haseyo, yoo jin sunbae” mi sun bowed to me.

Urgh, whatever.

I release jin young’s hand and hook his arm.

“What have you guys been doing?” jin young ask them.

“Oh, nothing much. Just carrying out your orders.”

“Yeah, I think we did a pretty good job on that, right noona?”

Mi sun smile and nodded.

Urgh, I can’t stand seeing her face.

“Oppa, can we go now?”

“Go? We’re sitting here.”

“What? Are you serious?”

“What’s wrong with sitting here?”

“You want me to sit in the same table with her?”

Mi Sun P.O.V

“You want me to sit in the same table with her?” yoo jin said and pointed at me.

“What’s wrong with her?” jin young asked.

“What’s wrong? She’s not supposed to be here!”

Really? Can I kick her now?

“What are you talking about?”

“I’m sure you’re here for a reason, the same reason why all the girls want to be with oppa!”  Yoo jin pointed at me.

“Excuse me?” I said.

“You want his money right? You want to be popular right? And are you trying to steal my spotlight in school? I know your intensions.”

Seriously? I have no freaking clue what is she talking about.

“Yoo jin, that’s enough.”

“Whatever! Let’s go.” She drags jin young away, but he pulls off her hands.

“No. I’m not going anywhere.”

She scroffs. “Oppa, since when you talk back to me? You never did this until you meet her!”

She walks up and pointed a finger in front of my face.

“Why is everything about you? Ever since you appear, oppa is always being occupied by you. You even get a solo during club performance while I don’t. All the students adore you just because you and you stupid friends broke a stupid record in running. Ever since you came here, things are not going right!”

“Things are not going according your way you mean.”  I snap back. Which I regretted because it came back with a slap on my face.

“YOO JIN!” I heard jin young yelled.

“What the?” key said.

“Noona are you okay?” taemin asked me.

I was looking on the ground with ma palm on my left check.

“Noona, are you okay?”

“I-I’m fine.”

“Yoo jin, aren’t you over reacting?” I heard onew said.

“I’m just stating the truth!”

Minho brought me away from yoo jin.

“Mi sun-shii, let me see your face. Taemin, go get some ice.”

“Ne, hyung.”

As much as I feel like slapping yoo jin’s face, what I really want to do now is leave.

“Mi sun.” someone called. It was jin young.

“Mi sun, look at me.”

“Oppa! You can’t be serious right?” yoo jin yelled from behind.

“Yoo jin, you need to behave.” Onew said.

“Who are you to tell me I have to behave?”

“Mi sun ah.” Jin young said, trying to take my hand off my face.

“I wanna go home.” I blurt out.

“What? Why?”

“She’s right. I don’t belong here.”

“That’s nonsense! Don’t listen to her.”

“Just bring me home.” I started walking away but jin young caught my arm.

“Don’t.”

“Just let me go.”

“No mi sun i-”

“Which part of I want to go home you don’t understand!” I yelled at him, causing him to jump a little.

“Come here.” He said and pulls me with him.

“Why are we going in the house? I want to go home.”

He didn’t answer me. He continues walking.

Mi sun, why did you agree to come today? You know that yoo jin will find trouble again. So why did you bother coming?

Jin Young P.O.V

I can’t believe yoo jin just slap mi sun. This seriously makes me really angry.

“Hyung.” I said to jong hyun when I found him.

“Oh hey! Oh, what happen?”

“Can I borrow the guest room for a moment?”

He looked at me then to mi sun, who was looking on the floor.

“Go to my room.”

“Okay. Thank you hyung.”

I drag mi sun by her arm up the stairs.

“Sunbae. Enough.”

“No. I need to talk to you.”

“I have nothing to say.”

“But I have a lot to say.”

“Jin young-shii!” I saw taemin running up the stairs with ice pack.

“Where are you going?”

I took the ice pack from his hands and ask him to make sure yoo jin doesn’t know where are we. He nodded and left.

I lock jong hyun’s bedroom door just in case.

“Sit down.” I pointed at the couch.

She sat down, still not looking at me.

I slowly took her hands off her face. Her cheek was red.

“It’ll be cold.” I told her and put the ice pack on her cheek. She flinched a little.

“Stop.” She said.

“Does it hurt?”

“No, just stop.”

I took the ice pack away and look at her.

“I’m sorry mi sun. I shouldn’t have asked you to come.”

“Yes, you shouldn’t. Just take me home.”

Should I tell her?

“Do you want to talk?”

“About what?”

“Like..erm..about yoo jin.”

“Can we please not talk about her?”

“Okay.”

“Give me that.” she took the ice pack from my hands and put it on her cheek. “Actually, I think I have a lot of questions to ask. What money is she talking about? What popularity? I don’t care about those. And sunbae, why do you put up with her? I know you are not very happy when she’s around, but why?”

Jong hyun was right. She is asking now.

“And to be honest, you never told me anything about your family. Are you really scared that I was after your money? Do you think I will do that?”

“No absolutely not.”

“So why is she making those up?”

Maybe I should tell her.

“Mi sun. I will tell you everything. Just ask me anything. I will tell you now. But before that, can you promise me something?”

“What is it.” she mumbles, rubbing her cheek.

“You will still treat me the same way you do before I tell you everything.”

“Why would I treat you differently?”

I smile at her. ‘Just saying.”

She nodded.

“Okay. Ask me anything.”
