Chapter 1 - Forgetting

After their sudden breakup, one week has already passed and up to now Siwon can't accept everything, he can’t just move on. He is always lonely and like out of this world, he is not talking to anybody and when he saw Tiffany, he just looked at her intently and suddenly tears starts to form in his eyes.

'I still love you. Please come back to me.'

That's what he likes to say to her every time he saw her. He doesn’t want to forget her, he wants her back in his arms but he can’t do anything.

- At school -

After a month, everything is going well and Siwon is starting to recover from the wounds and heartaches that he experienced in his heart. He and Tiffany are greeting each other normally and Siwon is happy for that because he knows that he can still talk to her after what happened.

"Siwon. Did you know the latest news?" Donghae asked him.

Siwon shook his head and waits for the answer.

"Tiffany has a new boyfriend." Donghae clarified then looked at his book.

Siwon is dumbfounded and shocked. He can't believe that Tiffany can move on so fast. It's just too sudden, only a month just past and she already found someone.

'Did she ever love me? Are those words that she told me are all lie?'

After what he heard, he bowed her head on his desk and cried softly while remembering those happy moments with Tiffany.

*Flashback*

School's rooftop

"Tiffany-ssi, the first time I saw you, I felt something in my heart. It beats so fast when you're just smiling to me. At first, I didn't know what that feeling is but as time passed, it made me realized that, I'm in love with you. Its love that I felt the first time I saw you." Siwon confessed with all of his heart while looking at her eyes intently.

Tiffany looked in his eyes and then laughed cutely with her infamous eye smile.

"Did I say anything funny?" Siwon asked her and nervously waiting for her answer.

Tiffany giggled again. "That's the reason why you asked me to come here?" she asked.

Siwon nodded worriedly. He knows that she will just reject him and prepared his self in what will her answer.

"I think something's missing in what you have said. " she said smiling to him.

Siwon thought what it could be. He already said everything that he practiced last night.

Tiffany walked closer to him. "How can I reply if you didn't say that you like me." she said like lecturing him.

'Ah! That's what I forget to tell' he thought while holding the flowers tightly in his hand.

"Tiffany-ssi, I like you a lot. Do you like me too? He asked nervously while scratching his nape.

"That's what I've been waiting for you to say." she muttered then leaning forward to him, leaving no space between them. She just kissed him without any warning. Siwon was taken aback by her action but this is what he wants at the first place, to kiss those beautiful lips of Tiffany. He kissed her back and doesn't want to end their romantic first kiss, he wants to stay there forever.

Tiffany released the kiss between them. "I like you too. I've waited so long for you to confess." she said embarrassed and her cheeks are blushing.

"What?" Siwon asked her confused at what she said.

"Do you want me to repeat it again? You're so bad." she said not looking at his eyes then punched his arm softly.

The truth is that he heard everything clearly. He just want to make sure that he is not dreaming, that it's true that the girl he really loves, confessed that she loves him too.

"I said. I like you too." she said shyly and her cheeks just blushed again.

"Again?" he .

"I can't believe you're doing this to me." she said angrily and then walked past Siwon, leaving him behind.

When Tiffany is near the door, Siwon chased her and hugged her in the back.

Tiffany stopped. "Don't leave. I just want to make sure that I heard correctly, that the girl I like, likes me too." he said then hugged her tightly.

They just stayed there for about 5 minutes when suddenly Tiffany turned around and put her arms around Siwon's neck.

Then Siwon put her arms around her small waist. "I love you. Will you be mine forever?" he whispered.

She giggled. "I love you too and I will be yours forever." she said sweetly looking at his eyes.

They both smiled at what they said and thought that finally the moment that they are waiting for is happening right now.

Siwon leaned closer to Tiffany and kissed her lips passionately then Tiffany kissed him back. This will be the start of their relationship, not just friendly relationship but a relationship that everyone wishes to experience. They wish that they can stay like this forever.

*End of flashback*

Siwon woke up and didn't notice that he fell asleep thinking about Tiffany, his eyes are full of dried tears. It's already dismissal and he needs to go home when he suddenly looked at the door, like waiting for someone to enter, waiting for someone he misses a lot but he realized that person will not come back again and again one tear fell from his eyes.

He stood up and finally makes his decision to forget her, the person who makes his heart hurt. He knows that it’s hard to forget somebody you once loved but he has no choice but to erase all those memories and just move on from the past.

- The Next Day in School –

Siwon arrived at the school early, he didn’t know why did he woke up early but he just felt that he needs to wake up early. While walking in the hallway, he walked past the rooftop door. Suddenly, memories started to form in her mind when he saw that door.

He approached the door, he didn’t want to go there because he will just remember everything then he will be hurt again but his feet and his heart wants him to enter that door. He touched the doorknob, he wants to open it but he can’t, there is something that’s preventing him to go there. At the end, he didn’t open that door and just walked off with tears in his eyes, scared of the truth.

Siwon and Tiffany are classmates since their first year in high school up to now that they are already graduating students. That’s why feelings started to form between them, they became best friends when they are in second year and started dating at third year.

He watched Tiffany from behind, he wants to talk to her badly, he just needs his smile and he will be okay.

“Siwon, are you okay?” Donghae asked then looked at where Siwon is looking.

Siwon is startled by Donghae and then looked at his best buddy.

“Do you still love her?” Donghae asked him pitifully.

Siwon laughed softly then water starts forming in his eyes. He doesn’t know what to respond. He wants to say that he love her, he love her more than everything but what will happen if he tell that to Donghae? There’s nothing to happen, they already broke up and they can’t be together again.

“Your eyes just told me that you still love her. Siwon, just move on. She already moved on. Don’t hurt yourself.” Donghae muttered.

“It’s easy to say but it’s hard to do. You can’t just forget someone you really love in your heart.” Siwon replied.

Donghae didn’t reply and just looked at him pitifully. ‘I need to help him.’ Donghae thought.

Today is their graduation day. Everybody is excited to graduate and to attend universities but not in Siwon’s case, it hurts in his side to leave this school. This is where he started to know what love really is, it is where he met Tiffany, the one he really love. He just can’t leave those memories, he wants to stay here forever with Tiffany in his side but time will not wait for him, he need to move on already. 2 months already passed, up to now he can’t forget her and waiting that someday they can be together.

The ceremony just started. There are many guest speakers who talked and many teachers bid their farewell. After that, the awards are being awarded to everybody who really studied hard in their batch.

“For the valedictory speech, let me call Ms. Tiffany Hwang.” The announcer said.

Everybody clapped at her including Siwon. He watched her as Tiffany walked up the stage holding is valedictory speech.

“Good day to all….” She said then proceeded to say her speech.

He stared at her, remembering their first meeting.

*Flashback*

“Students, let’s welcome the student who got the highest score in the entrance exam, Ms. Tiffany Hwang.” the teacher announced. The students all clapped their hands and the students are amazed of her grades.

“Wow! She is so smart yet she’s so beautiful.” The guy in front of him said mesmerized by Tiffany.

“I bet all the guys will wish that she is their girlfriend.” The lady said jealously.

Siwon heard those compliments and then looked at the beautiful and petite lady who is now walking up the stage. He didn’t listen to what she is saying. Love at first sight, that’s what Siwon felt when he saw her. Her voice is like an angel and it’s like music to his ears, he can’t take his eyes off her. He wants to know her more, he wants to be his friend, more than a friend, he thought.

The speech is now done, he didn’t understand anything. He didn’t pay attention to anyone, he just stared at her all those time.

‘I will make you fall for me and you will be mine someday’ he thought still clapping while grinning.

*End of flashback*

“Thank you for listening and have a good day.” Tiffany said then bowed.

All the students clapped their hands, some of them are already crying because of the wonderful speech of Tiffany. They will never forget their high school life, the things that they experienced only in high school.

She sits in her seat just 2 people away from Siwon. Siwon is trying to hide his tears but not because of her speech but because of her, he will only cry because of her. She made him cried again, only by looking at her, he can feel something in his eyes, and his eyes just want to cry.

After the graduation ceremony, everyone bid their goodbyes to their friends. Some people are just laughing and some are crying like there is no tomorrow. Many people already left the school, only few are there including Siwon. He told his parents that he will just follow, he needs to go somewhere. A place that is very special for him, the place he needs to forget.

He reached that place, the rooftop. He holds the doorknob and opened the door. He needs to do it because it’s the last time for him to be in that very special place.

When he opened the door, he saw no one. That’s what he expected, who will go here in this time, in graduation day? He thought then laughed at what he thought. He knows that he and Tiffany is only the one who likes to go to rooftop. It’s their place.

He walked near the railings then he put his hands in it, letting the wind touch him.

“It’s good to be here again.” He said in low voice while closing his eyes.

CLICK!

He heard something behind him and then looked around where the sound is coming from, it’s coming from the door. He waited nervously, he waited for the person who will enter that door, he is waiting for somebody who he misses a lot to enter that door.

The door opened. He never expected that he will see her again and he never expected that she will still go to this place, their special place. In their faces you can see that they really missed each other.

Siwon started to approach Tiffany, he wants to hug her again tightly.

“Siwon-oppa.” Tiffany said looking at his eyes.

Siwon stopped from walking and looked at her with watery-eyes.

“Tiffany.” He replied waiting for what Tiffany will say.

They didn’t talk for 5 minutes. They just stared at each other for the whole time, Siwon wants to hold his soft hands again. Then suddenly Tiffany ran to Siwon and hugged him tightly burying her head on his chest while crying. She can’t take it anymore, she knows that she really missed him so much and she knows that deep inside her heart, she still loves him.

Siwon is surprised at her but this is what he wants. He hugged her back tightly and tears started to fell from his eyes. They are both crying and both hurt. They both don’t want to let go.

For about 10 minutes they just stayed hugging each other. They didn’t say anything to each other because they both know the real reason. They don’t want to end this, they both wished that the time will just stop forever.

Tiffany released their hug, realizing that this is wrong, she and Siwon broke up already and she only knows the reason why she needs to leave Siwon.

“Oppa, goodbye.” She said as one tear fell from her eyes and then she turned around leaving Siwon again. It hurt her heart.

Siwon ran and hug Tiffany from the back. “Can you be mine again?” He said sadly.

Tiffany didn’t know what to do, those words that Siwon said are like swords that stabs her heart. She wants to be with Siwon again but she can’t. With all her strength even if it hurts in her side, he took away his hands.

She faced her still hiding her tears from him.

“Siwon-oppa, Please don’t make our lives difficult. I already told you that I don’t love you anymore. I’m sorry.” She uttered looking at his crying eyes.

“No, I don’t believe you. Why did you hug me?” He questioned her and wants to believe that Tiffany still loves him.

“I just want to say goodbye to you, and I know I hurt you. I just want to comfort you. Please understand me. We’re best friend right?” She said unsure and looking at her feet.

“I don’t understand… I can’t understand! Just best friends? Please don’t make my heart hurt more. Please look at me. Do you still love me?” He asked her, waiting for her answer and hoping that she will say ‘Yes. I still love you’.

“No.” she said coldly. She looked at his eyes then walked off leaving him behind and leaving his heart torn forever.

Siwon can’t accept it. For the second time, he heard her saying those hurt words to him again. Those words that make his heart wounded. He can’t breathe normally and kneeled down on the ground crying with all his heart. Then the rain started to pour, just like their break up, it happen again in the same situation, the situation when Tiffany leaves him.

“Why?!?” Siwon shouted still crying under the rain. He can’t accept it.

For the whole time that Siwon is crying, Tiffany just stayed at the back of the door crying softly as well, controlling her tears. She cried and cried. She doesn’t want him to hear her cries. She doesn’t want to leave him under the rain but she knows that Siwon is hurt and she doesn’t want to hurt him more that’s why she just stayed there.

“Goodbye, Saranghae.” She whispered still crying then walked off leaving him and forgetting him forever.
