“Kimmy! I’m glad pwede ka nang idischarge tomorrow. Kamusta ang pakiramdam mo?” Twinkle asked as she place a box of pizza beside Kim’s table

“The doctor said I’m fine.”

“Good! Ate Kams is coming next week. Bigla kasi siyang kinailangan sa Cebu so ako ang bahala sa yo ngayon.”

“Ate, I need your help.”

“Ha? Anong help?”

“I don’t think that I could stay sa relationship namin ni Gerald. All I think kapg nakikita ko siya ay ang image ng pagkamatay ng anak ko….. And it really hurts” she cried

“Kimmy….. Sa tingin mo ba iyon ang solusyon para makapag move on ka na? Alam kong magulo pa ang isip mo ngayon. Think about it again. Sige na”

“Ate… matagal ko nang naisip yun. I have to move on without him. Maybe kapag nagheal na ang lahat, then I’ll be ready.”

“So what do you want me to do?”

“Gusto ko nang magpadischarge tonight. We’ll take the Cebu flight tomorrow morning”

“WHAAT?! Kimmy, naman. Pano na si Ge? Nawalan rin siya. Paano kung mawawala ka rin sa kanya? Ang sakit nun sis. Sobra!”

“I’m doing this for myself! Not for him. My daughter gave me her life so I should make it worth it. Sige na ate please… Gusto kong makapag move on…. Para sa anak ko… Para sa kanya tong gagawin ko.”

That night, Kim was discharged from the hospital. They stayed in their hotel overnight.

“Ate, lahat ng gamit ko nasa bahay namin ni Ge. Pwede bang pahiram muna ng clothes na gagamitin ko for tomorrow? Same size naman tayo eh. Bibili na lang ulit ako after”

“Oo naman….. Ahm, Kimmy, sure ka na ba talaga sa ginagawa mo? I mean, marami pang ibang solusyon diyan… You know..”

“Oo ate…Siguradong sigurado na ako dito… I need this…”

The following day, Gerald came early sa hospital to settle Kim’s hospital bills. To his surprise…

“Sir, Mrs. Kim Anderson has been discharged last night.”

“HAAH?!” Paano? Saan siya nagpunta? Sinong kasama niya?”

“Ahmm.. Sir, AM po kasi ang duty ko so I wasn’t here nung nadischarge siya last night.”

“Ganun ba? Sige salamat.”

Gerald dismayingly left the hospital. “Oh Kim… Where can you be?” he thought to himself

He tried contacting her but her phone’s out of reach. She got a new number to avoid Gerald’s calls. Twinkle’s phone, on the other hand is on silent kaya hindi niya naririnig ang mga calls ni Gerald.

Kim and Twinkle arrived at the Chiu’s mansion in Cebu about 10 in the morning.

“Kimmy.. Kamusta ka na? Anong ginagawa mo dito” Lakam hugged her tight and Kim cried to her.

“Ate… I need this. I have to do this for myself and for my daughter”

“Does Gerald know this?”

“No…”

“Kimmy, you can’t just run away like that. Malalaman din ni Ge na nandito ka.”

“Ate… Please, wag muna natin siyang pag usapan. I’m here to think things out. I’m here to start moving on. Ate, like what you said, I should make my life worth living para sa anak ko. I can’t seem to start a new life while seeing Gerald. For now, hayaan muna nating ganito. Please.”

“Pare, san mo ba ko dadalhin? Tsaka… Pwede ba? Magdahan dahan ka naman sa pagmamaneho mo!!! Papakasalan ko pa si Pau! Gusto ko pa magkaroon ng maraming anak!” Neil complained.

“Pare… Wala lang talaga akong mhingahan ng sama ng loob. I can’t lose Kim. Mahal na mahal ko siya.” Gerald said and he turned his car in an exclusive subdivision.

“Oh.. Ano namang gagawin natin dito? Nandito ba si Kim?”

But Gerald doesn’t seem to pocess in his mind what Neil is saying. He just went on the road and kept driving until he stopped in front of a newly built house…. No….., a mansion.

“Whoaa…” Neil was in a complete awe as he stepped out of the car.

Gerald stared at the house and tears are rolling again on his face. He then blurted “This is our home”

Neil was just staring at him intently, waiting for his story.

“This is suppose to be my wedding gift to her. Ang plano ko, after she gives birth, isurprise ko sa kanya ito. Ito yung pinglalaanan ko ng pagod ko, para sa pamilya ko…. Pero pare….. Anong nangyari? Bakit parang nawala na silang lahat? Bakit parang nawala lahat ng mga pangarap ko para sa amin?

“Dude… God has His own purpose kung bakit nangyayari sa inyo to. Siguro, pabayaan mo muna si Kim na makapag isip isip. I know sobrang sakit. Pero di ba nung nagka amnesia siya hindi ka naman nawalan ng pag asa? Look… Mas tumibay ang pagmamahalan niyo when you started again. Siguro, you just have to start over and over again….. Love is sweeter the third time around” Neil joked

Gerald smiled and nodded slowly. Things are working on his mind right now. “Yeah” he blurted “Let’s go!”

He and Neil went at WC Hotel to look for Kim.

“Pau!” ……  “Babe!”

“Ge?! … Babe?! Saan ang rally?! Diyos ko! Kung may sakit ako sa puso baka inatake na ko sa inyo nito!”

“Sorry..”

“Napadaan kayo?” Pau asked

“Nakita mo ba si Kim?” Gerald asked

“Ha?... Akala ko alam mong nagstay siya dito kasama si ate Twinkle. Ahm…. Nakita ko sila early this morning, palabas sila and may dalang maleta si ate Twinkle. Akala ko nga sasamahan siya ni Kimmy papuntang airport eh”

Gerald thought to himself “Airport? ….. Cebu?”   “Okay!! Thans Pau! Thanks dude!” with that, he left

“Uyy! Wait lang! Yung kotse ko naiwan!” Habol ni Neil but he was already inside his car.
