Gerald dropped Kim in front of the hotel lobby.

“Honey, I promise, pag natapos na tong project namin, we’ll have our vacation.” …..

“Okay hon, I love you, I know you can do it.” ….

“Bye, see you later.” Then they kissed on the lips and Kim stepped out of the car.

“Hey Kim! Good thing you’re back. Two days from now is the big day. Yesterday, natapos na namin yung proposal. We just have to rehearse on how we’re going to present it.” Xian said when he came in Kim’s office. …..

“Okay. Thanks Xian for this big help.” …

Xian came closer to her and caressed her face. …. “Anything for you Kim. Until now, Im still waiting. I know someday you’ll realize na mahal mo pa rin ako.” Xian said a matter of factly

Kim removed his hand on her face. “Xian, please. Matagal na tayong tapos. Can’t you see, Im very much happy with my life right now. Mahal na mahal ko si Gerald. Look, you’re a good man. There are a lot out there na mas deserving of your love. Masaya na ako ngayon and sana you find your true happiness sa iba.” Kim said and walked out of the room.

Xian was left in her office stood still. “One day, You’ll realize that Im the one you need. Not him.” He whispered to himself then he left.

Kim, Xian, Maj, Pau and all the other department heads discussed their final plans inside the board room. Kim set aside her heated conversation with Xian a moment ago. Both of them remained professional inside the board room. Maja noticed na umiiwas si Kim kay Xian after their meeting.

“Mahfriend!” she pulled Kim inside the comfort room.

“Bakit?” …..

“I smell something between you and Xian, may nangyari ba?” …….

“Ikaw mahfriend, kung anumang madumi yung iniisip mo, mali ka diyan! Kanina kasi, he told me na willing pa rin siya maghintay kahit alam niyang si Gerald na ang mahal ko. Then I told him na marami pang iba diyan. Umiiwas lang ako para hindi na siya lalong umasa. Gusto kong makapag move on na siya. Masayang masaya na ako with Gerald right now.” She proudly declared.

“Hmmmm? You mean naaalala mo na lahat?” ……

“No, I still cant remember my past six years, I just fell in love with him. Siguro nga my heart doesn’t forget. At kahit hindi ko na maalala yung nangyari sa amin dati, Im happy kasi we made new better memories together at sobrang saya namin pareho right now.”

“Grabe talaga kayo ni Papa Ge! Wagas ang pagmamahal! Kahit noon pa man, ganyan na kayo eh. Hanggang ngayon ba naman! Partida, may amnesia ka pa sa lagay na yan!” Maja blurted …..

“Sige Mahfriend, nandito na si Mateo, mauna na ko!” ……

“Okay! Bye!”

“Kimmy! Nakabili ka na ba ng isusuot mo on Friday?” …..

“Hindi pa nga Pau eh. Gusto mo sabay na tayong bumili mamaya?” …..

“Sure! Magkita na lang tayo sa lobby later” ….

“Okay” …..

Xian overheard Kim and Pauline’s conversation so he planned for something.

Kim dialed Gerald’s phone

“Hello hon?” she said to him on the other line

“Yes hon? Miss me?” …..

“Hindi kita miss eh, miss na miss lang!” Kim blurted …..

“Sabi ko na nga ba eh. Bakit ka napatawag? Magpapasundo ka na ba?” ….

“Hindi, I just want to tell you na bibili kami ni Pau mamaya ng isusuot namin sa Friday, sa Rockwell na lang tayo magkita.” …..

“Ganun ba? Oh sige, sabihan ko na lang si Neil.” …..

“Okay, bye hon, I love you!” …..

“I love you too, bye!”

Kim and Pauline went straight at Rockwell. Before they decided to look for their outfits, they took first a snack in a familiar restaurant inside Rockwell.

“Kimmy, papunta na daw dito sila Ge. Maaga raw natapos yung meeting nila eh. Hintayin na natin sila.” ….

“Oh sige”

Few minutes later when Gerald and Neil arrived at the resto.

“Hi hon!” they kissed on the lips.

“Babe, yung kiss ko rin?” Neil said to Pau …..

“Ikaw babe inggitero ka talaga!” then she gave him a smack. And they laughed altogether

While taking their orders, a waiter came in their table and delivered a gift for Kim.

“Miss Chiu?” ….

“Yes?” ……

“May nagpapabigay po” then he handed her a pink box. Gerald’s eyes wonders kung kanino galing yung gift.

When Kim opened the box, she saw a very beautiful red satin dress inside.

A note that says: “For Kim, my love….. From, your love” was inside.

She looked at Gerald and hugged him “Thanks honey! I really love this dress!” ….

“Wow! Ang ganda niyan Kimmy! Parang wala atang mabibiling ganyan dito!” Pauline said

“Wait hon, hindi sa akin galing yan.” Gerald declared

“What!? Eh kanino galing to?” Kim got confused and thought of Xian.

Suddenly, Gerald stood up and hurriedly walked out of the restaurant ….

“Ge! Wait! Saan ka pupunta?” Kim said running after him

“Dito ka lang hon. May tuturuan lang ako ng leksyon.”

“Honey wait!” then she saw Gerald grab Xian’s shirt from behind him.

Gerald saw him pala at the parking lot before he and Neil entered the mall.

When Xian turned around, Gerald’s clenched fist welcomed his face and he fell on the ground. Neil immediately pulled Xian up and si Kim naman ang umawat kay Gerald.

“Wait pare! What’s this for?” ……

“What for? That’s for pestering my girlfriend! Matagal na akong nagtitimpi sa yo! I even warned you before na this girl’s taken. Mahirap bang intindihin yun? This will be the last time Xian Lim! Isa pang lapit mo sa girlfriend ko, hindi lang yan ang aabutin mo!” then he left.

Kim was still shocked on what Gerald did. It was the first time she saw him that mad.

“Hon, bakit mo ginawa yun?” Kim said when she got inside Gerald’s car. ….

“Why hon? Don’t tell me kakampihan mo pa yung Xian na yun?” Gerald annoyingly said. ….

“Hon, hindi naman sa ganun. Nagulat lang ako sa ginawa mo. You didn’t have to hurt him. Kinausap ko na naman siya na lumayo na siya sa akin eh.” …..

“Im not sorry for what I did. Dapat lang sa kanya yun” Gerald said coldly then he said

“Ayoko lang dumating sa point na inaabuso niya na ang pagpapasensya mo. You see, you warned him na pala na lumayo sa yo pero look at what he did. Ayoko lang na lumala pa ang mga pinaplano niya sa yo”

Kim remained silent and stared at the road outside the window and realized na tama si Gerald.

She just felt lucky to have someone who will fight for her.

“Honey?” she touched Gerald’s hand while he’s driving and Gerald turned a little to face her.

“Thank you” Kim said. ….

“For what?” …..

“Basta thank you. I realized how lucky I am to have someone like you who would fight for me” ……

Gerald caressed her face. “Anything for you my love” then he kissed her forehead and let her rest her head on his chest while driving.
