It’s already 10 am. Kim woke up with a very heavy head. She checked her phone and she had nine missed calls from her ate Lakam. She wrapped her body with a blanket, slowly and quietly, she got up from the bed to not wake Gerald up. She called her ate.

“Hello ate?”

“Kimmy! Kanina pa kita tinatawagan ah!”

“Sorry sis, kakagising ko lang eh!” She said groggily

“Maysakit ka ba? Ba’t ganyan boses mo?”

“Wala. Masakit lang yung ulo ko.” Suddenly, bigla siyang naduwal. She ran to the nearest sink para makasuka siya.

“Kim! Kim! Anong nagyaari sa yo?” Lakam is screaming on the other line

Walang tigil ang pagsuka niya. Finally, with one last blow, she wiped and said “Ate, nahihilo kasi ako eh kaya (naduwal siya ulit)”

“Kim! Papunta na ako diyan sa room niyo! Hintayin mo ako!”

In no time, dumating si Lakam sa room nila Kim. She saw her na namumutla. She even helped her to release vomit. While, Kim’s back…

“Ano ba kasing kinain mo kagabi?” Lakam asked

“Ahh.. ehh.. ano eh, hindi ako nakapagdinner kagabi. Sobrang busog kasi ako eh”

“Nasaan si Ge?”

“Ayy, ate, tulog pa siya. Napuyat kasi eh.”

“Lika, dadalhin kita sa clinic malapit sa lobby.”

Kim took a shower and her ate guided her to the clinic

“Hindi mo ba gigisingin si Gerald?”

“Tatawagan naman niya ako pag nagising siya eh. Hayaan muna natin siyang magpahinga. Lika na!”

Kim was examined by the resident doctor in the clinic. While waiting for the result,

“Ano ba kasing ginawa mo? Baka mamaya may nakain ka pala kahapon na masama sa yo”

“Hindi ate. Nung isang araw pa sumasakit yung ulo ko tuwing babangon ako eh.”

“Hah? Hindi kaya…… Hiindi kaya……… buntis ka?” Lakam asked

Suddenly, Doctor Santos interrupted “Yes You’re right! Lakam! Congratulations Kim! You are three weeks pregnant!”

Kim and her ate Kam were both shocked from the news. Both of them were speechless.

“Magiging mommy na ako? Magiging mommy na ako!” Kim shouted for joy!

“Congrats sis. May bago nanamang baby sa family. So kelan mo sasabihin kay Gerald?”

“I think I wanna surprise him. Quiet ka muna ate ha. Tsaka ko na lang sasabiihin sa kanya kasi gusto ko siyang isurprise!”

“Hmmmm.. Okay! Bahala ka!”

Suddenly, Kim’s phone raang “Hello hon?”

“Hello honey! Nasaan ka?”

“Ahh. Ano,….. Nagpasama lang ako kay ate kam maglakad. Nag ikot ikot lang kami. Ang sarap kasi ng tulog mo kaya hindi na kita ginising.”

“Ganun ba? Oh sige, maliligo lang ako tapos puntahan ko na lang kayo. Nasaan ba kayo ngayon?”

“Sige, puntahan mo na lang kami sa restaurant from the left ng lobby.”

“Okay! See you! I love you!”

“I loe you too”

Kim and Lakam are taking their orders when Gerald came. He gave Kim a smack then he ordered.

While waiting for their meals to be served…

“So, saan ang lakad niyo today? Hindi niyo daw nagamit yung car kahapon?

“Oo ate eh, ngayong araw talaga yung plano naming mag ikot sa city” Kim said

“Ahh okay.”

After breakfast, Kim and Gerald decided to walk straight at the parking lot para makaalis na sila for their tour. When Gerald was sure na nakasakay na sa kotse si Kim, he said.. “Ahh.. honey, wait lang. May nakalimutan ako! Diyan ka lang!”

“Okay! Basta bilisan mo ah!”

Gerald talked secretly with Lakam “Oh ate, basta text mo ako pag okay na ah? Salamat sa lahat ng tulong niyo”

“No problem Ge! Basta ikaw! Sige, enjoy kayo ah!”

“Sige ate, thanks ulit! Basta, mamaya ah?”

“Oo na!”

Then he left. Kim and him toured the whole Cebu city. They visited historical places. They even visited tourist destinations.

They had their lunch at “The Terraces”, the food and dining area attached to the top-end of Ayala Center shopping mall.

At 1:30 in the afternoon, they headed to Cebu Country Club for a one of a kind golf experience. The entire place best fit a golf lover person.

After a fun golf experience, they visited Kim’s school when she was in high school at three in the afternoon. They donated some goods for the facilities of the institution.

“Thank you very much Miss Chiu at Mr. Anderson. Sobrang matutuwa po yung mga estudyante naming sa bagong books na dinonate niyo sa library.” Mrs. San Juan, the principal of RC High thanked them.

“Okay lang po yun maam. Malaki rin naman po ang utang na loob ko sa institusyong ito kaya dapat lang na ibalik ko yun” Kim said

After that, they went back to Ayala shopping center.

“Ge? Ano nanaman gagawin natin dito? Gutom ka na ba?”

“Oo eh. Kain muna tayo tapos ikot ikot lang tayo saglit”

They took their afternoon snack then Gerald decided to bring her to the department store. When he saw a red dress, he showed it to Kim

“Honey! Sukat mo to oh! Bagay sa yo!”

“Wow! Ang ganda naman niyan! Oh sige, relax ka lang diyan susukat ko na” She went to the fitting room to wear the beautiful red elegant dress. When she got out, Gerald’s jaw dropped

“Honey! Speechless ka nanaman sa beauty ko noh?”

Gerald still is speechless

“Honey naman eh!” She turned around to go back to the fitting room. Gerald grabbed her wrist

“Saan ka pupunta?”

“Magpapalit na ulit ako!”

“Wait! Wag ka na magpalit. I want you to wear this dress hanggang sa makabalik tayo.”

“Ha?”

“Sige na honey please? You look so perfect! Kaya babayaran na natin yan pero hindi mo huhubarin. Lika na!” Gerald said

After they purchased the dress, “Honey! Bibili lang ako ng shoes! Hindi kaya bagay sa dress na to yung shoes ko ngayon” pointing her sneakers.

“Ayy oo nga noh! Sige, let me take care of it!” He said

“Honey spoiled nanaman ako sa yo nyan eh! Ikaw na nga bumili ng dress, ikaw pa bibili ng shoes? Sige na, ako na bahala dun okay?”

“Hmmm.. okay”

Kim bought a piece of four inch silver open toe heels. “Ayan honey! So ano? Bagay na ba?” she asked him

“Perfect!”

“Ano yang dala mo? Teka, nagpalit ka rin ng damit?”

“Oo! Bagay ba?” Showing her his casual suit with matching gray coat.

Kim went closer to him and fixed his coat from his neck then said “You look like a prince charming”

“Weh? Binobola mo naman yata ako eh! Lika na nga!” He then wrapped his left arm on his waist.

When they got inside the car, Gerald gave her a silver necklace. He put it on her neck.

“Wait lang Hon. Para san to?”

“Wala lang. Gift ko yan sa yo”

Kim smiled “Thank you so much honey”

“Anything for you!”
