Kim talked with the people in her department and assigned each of them their designated tasks.

At 5:30, she already left the office and went to the cemetery to visit her father’s grave. She brought white roses and put it on the grass.

“Dad, I know na you’re not happy seeing me like this.” She in now crying.. 

“It’s hard for me to pretend like everything’s okay. Mahal ko si Gerald and I don’t want him to be unhappy because of me. Dad, I love you so much and I want you to be proud of me. Dad, starting today, I’ll fix myself. I’ll be starting a new life with Gerald. I don’t want to lose him kaya lahat ng gagawin ko ngayon ay dedicated para sa kanya. Dad, alam ko ring hindi ka na nahihirapan diyan at masaya ka na rin kaya magiging masaya na rin ako ngayon. I love you daddy.” She wiped her tears

Kim left the cemetery and went straight to Serendra to buy some pastries for Gerald’s family.

Sobrang lakas ng ulan when she arrived at Serendra. While ordering her favorite and her Tita Vangie’s favorite cake at Conti’s,

Gerald called her “Honey! Nasaan ka?” …

“I’m here at Conti’s to buy Tita Vangie’s favorite desert. After nito, derecho na ako diyan” …

“Do you want me to pick you up there? Malakas ang ulan, baka mahirapan ka magdrive.” Gerald sounded concerned

“Don’t worry baby, kaya ko na to noh! I’ll be there in less than an hour” …

“Sure ka hon? Sige, basta mag iingat ka sa pag drive ah. I can’t wait for tonight. Yung promise mo sa akin ah?” Gerald naughtily said

“Sshh.. quiet ka lang Ge! Baka marinig ka ng mommy mo at ni Ken, Nakakahiya!” ..

“Anong nakakahiya ka diyan? Sanay na sila Kimmy” … He said out loud to

“Ge! Ano ka ba?! Sige ka baka di ko ituloy yung promise ko” 

“Honey, wala namang ganyanan, o sige na nga, behave na po ako okay? Bilisan mo diyan ah. Oh! Dad’s calling me on the other line pala. See you later hon! Bye!” …

“Wait! I love you Honey! Bye!” Gerald already hung up his phone so he didn’t hear the last words Kim said to him.

Kim went straight to her sedan parked outside One Serendra.

“Grabe naman tong ulan na to! Parang signal number 10 sa lakas” she complained to herself while starting the engine.

She her music player and listened to the song Gerald always sings to her. It was also her favorite song because she always hears it from Gerald. The song played is Best In Me by Blue. She is also singing while the song is playing.

When she turned to C5 road, it made her hard to see clearly the road on her windshield because of the super heavy rain.

A truck whose crossing an intersection is passing. Because Kim can’t clearly see the truck, she thought she’ll be bumping to it so she turned right when suddenly she lost her brakes, her car drifted along the road and the next thing happened, the car completely crashed into a huge electric post

Gerald, on the other hand, ay nagbasketball na lang sa kanilang sariling court to make himself busy while waiting for Kim.

When he was about to pass the ball to his brother, Ken, the ball hit the glass placed on a small table near them.

“oops! Napasobra kuya!” Ken blurted out.

Suddenly, iba ang naging pakiramdam ni Gerald. Para siyang kinakabahan and he sweat profusely.

He immediately dialed Kim’s number coz an hour has already passed. No one’s answering. He dialed and he dialed pero hindi pa rin sumasagot si Kim.

“Oh Kim! Nasaan ka na ba?” lalong nagpanic si Gerald.

He ran quickly inside to get his car keys.

“Gerald! Anak! Ano bang nangyayare sa yo? Dahan dahan ka lang!” …

“Mom, hindi ko ma contact si Kim eh. One hour na ang nakakalipas dapat nandito na siya eh."

“Anak, wag ka ngang magpanic diyan! Siyempre madulas sa kalsada kaya she’s driving carefully. Tsaka baka kaya hindi niya sinasagot yung call mo not to make her distracted. Huminahon ka lang” 

“Mom sana nga tama kayo pero sobrang lakas ng kaba ko eh” …

“KUYA!!!” Ken screamed pointing on the television.

---“Isang kotse, sumalpok sa higanteng poste ng C5 road, Driver na anak ng isang hotel owner, critical ang kondisyon… Sa sobrang lakas ng ulan dulot ni bagyong Budoy, isang kotse ang nawalan ng control at sumalpok sa isang poste, ayon sa mga testigo, iiwasan raw ng kotseng ito ang ten wheeler truck na pasalubong kaya lumiko ito, nagpaikot ikot sa daan at sumalpok na nga sa poste. Ang driver ng kotse ay napag alamang si Kimberly Chiu, anak ng yumaong Presidente ng WC Corporation.”

Nanginginig at umiiyak si Gerald habang pinapanood ang footage kung saan naaksidente si Kim

He hurriedly went to the hospital together with his Mommy Vangie and Ken.

“Kamusta si Kim? Okay lang naman siya di ba? Wala naman siyang masyadong sugat di ba?” …

“Bro” Matteo interrupted, “Comatose si Kim… Unconscious pa rin…

“No! hindi yan totoo! Hindi ako iiwan ni Kim! Magiging okay rin siya di ba?”

Jake is now calming him.

After three hours of waiting, the doctor went out “Kayo ho ba ang pamilya ni Kimberly Chiu?” …

“Mga kaibigan niya ho kami” Maja said …

“Doc, kamusta si Kim?” Vangie uttered …

“Misis, sa ngayon unconscious pa rin ang pasyente. Maraming dugo ang nawala sa kanyang ulo. Sobrang lakas ng pagkakauntog niya, Kinailangan pa naming tahiin ang malaking sugat niya sa kanyang ulo. Kung maging conscious  na siya, iexpect niyo na magkakaroon siya ng memory loss. Sa sobrang lakas ng impact sa kanyang utak, malaki talaga ang possibility na magka amnesia ang pasyente. Sa ngayon, ipagdasal na lang natin na maging mabuti ang kanyang kalagayan. Maiwan ko muna ho kayo” …
