At Kim’s office, her secretary buzzed her

“Maam, a man is waiting for you outside your office. He said he’s your client.”

Kim thought that it was Gerald and just wanted to surprise her again. Since she has a new secretaty and that secretary doesn’t know Gerald yet, Kim said to her,

“Okay Donna, let him in, Thanks!”

The man went inside Kim’s office and to her surprise, it was Xian.

 “Xian? Anong ginagawa mo dito?” Kim curiously asked. …..

“Hi! Masama bang dumalaw?” ….

“Hindi naman. Oh bakit ka napadaan?” …..

“No, hindi lang ako napadaan. Sinadya talaga kita dito. And you’re secretary’s right. Im your client.”

Kim realized it was for business kaya Xian was there “Okay! So what can we do for you Mr. Lim?” ….

“Sobrang pormal naman niyan Kimmy! Xian na lang! Okay na nga yung kanina eh.” ….

“Okay, Xian, go ahead” …..

“Ahmm, We’ll be launching kasi our new product. So we decided na dito sa hotel niyo gawin ang mga press conferences and dito na rin ilaunch yung product.  Naisip kasi ng mga advertisers na perfect ang location na to for meeting up our investors. Dahil bigtime sila, bigtime na preparation din ang kailangan natin.” Xian said casually.

“Hmm.. I think this project’s challenging for me. Okay! Deal!” kim said.

When Xian left, Kim talked to the people and assigned them their tasks.

“Malalaking investors ang dadating so I want your full cooperation. Since hindi rin naman stable ang annual net natin, we can ask for help from those investors kaya sana pagbutihin pa natin guys.” Kim explained to the employees during their meeting.

Since they started planning for the event, palagi na lang late na nakakauwi si Kim. She even asked Gerald not to fetch her and told him na company driver na lang ang maghahatid sa kanya pauwi. At first, Gerald was still willing to fetch Kim kahit late na but Kim insisted so pumayag na rin si Gerald.

Kim hasn’t told Gerald yet that Xian’s her partner in planning for their upcoming project. Para kay Kim, business lang ang lahat  and there’s no big deal so hindi niya na sinabi kay Gerald.

It was Friday midnight when Kim found Gerald still awake waiting for her.

“Hon? Hindi ka pa natutulog?” Kim asked ….

“Miss na kasi kita eh. Tapos mas naging mas busy ka pa dahil dun sa big project niyo. Since wala naman pasok bukas, hindi na muna ako natulog ng maaga para naman makapag catch up tayo.” Gerald said ….

“Sorry Ge ah, pagod na kasi talaga ako eh. Gusto ko na sanang magpahinga. And tomorrow pala, papasok pa ulit ako kasi madami pa kami kailangan ipolish sa proposal namin, ichecheck ko rin yung development sa event area. Kaya sorry hon ah. Next time na lang ulit.” Kim said then proceeded at their bedroom.

She wasn’t aware na it was Gerald’s birthday the following day kaya naglalambing sa kanya si Gerald.

The next day, when Gerald dropped Kim at the hotel,

“Hon, uwi ka ng maaga later ah. Meet me at Serendra by 6pm okay?” …..

“Okay! Bye!” then she left.

Gerald was about to leave the area when he saw Xian who just stepped out of his car parked outside the hotel and saw him go towards the lobby.

He immediately called Kim

“Hello Hon?” …..

“Yes hon?” Kim said on the other line.

“I just saw Xian entering the Hotel. Have you seen him? Does he bother you?” Gerald sounded concerned. ….

“Oh, I forgot to tell you hon, Xian’s my partner for our upcoming project. Maglalaunch kasi sila dito ng product nila.” Kim said a matter of factly ….

“So you mean, palagi kayong magkasama?” Gerald asked a little worried ….

“Yes, kailangan kasi ng both opinions and ideas namin eh so ayun.” ….

“Okay, sige, basta sabihin mo sa akin agad pag ginugulo ka niya ah.” ….

“Sige.” ….

“Mamaya 6pm okay?” ….

“Okay!” …..

“Bye! I love you”
