HALEY PARK x KIM KI BUM(key shinee)

     Finally it was the weekend and I could relax and study! Of course the girls- and probably Key too- would

want me to change out later.

     I grew up with an average family, and when we moved into this apartment complex when I was little, I met

Kim Ki Bum. Kibum, though, was eventually given the nickname Almighty Key, or just Key.  He lived directly

under us and was also the same age as me, so naturally our friendship grew over the years. We finally were

graduating high school, so it was going to be the last year with Key until we went our separate ways. This year

was especially hard for me because.... well I've had a crush on Key since sophomore year. He didn't feel the

same way -I could tell- but maybe something can happen? I've always hoped this for the past few years,

but now that its my last year and times running out....I'm losing hope.

     As I lay on my bed reading (well actually no, I was thinking about Key like usual) I heard a knock. I looked

up from the book at the door, but when I listened closely I could tell the knock wasn't coming from the door -but

the window. I turned and walked over to my window to see key smiling at me with that cocky grin of his.

     "AH! Kim Ki Bum, what the heck!" I exclaimed as I let him in.

     "What do you mean? You didn't answer your front door! I had to climb up the fire escape; do you know how

rude that is to leave someone standing outside your door? Why weren't you in earshot of the door-" As key

nagged on, I smiled knowing how much I'd miss this. Life would sure be different with out Key here to nag and

play mom despite him being the boy. I chuckled quietly and Key stopped. "What's so funny?" I snapped out of

it and waved his question off.

     "Nothing, nothing. I was just thinking about how I'll be leaving here soon." A frown formed on my face, and

Key sighed and stepped closer.

     "I know, I'm going to miss you Haley." He whispered and took my hand in his. I felt sad that this action of his

wasn't more than a friend caring for the other.

     "Key," I began, he looked up "When I go to school, and you to go off and get famous, promise me you wont

forget me, okay? That wouldn't be very BFF of you." I said with a smile. He looked at me and grinned as he

squeezed my hand. I loved that smile of his,; the way it gave me butterflies when it appeared on that handsome

face of his- Haley snap out of it.

     "Of course Hale! You're the Almighty Key's #1 fan!" He said, and whispered something else that my ears

couldn't pick up. I looked up at him confused.

     "Key speak up I couldn't hear that. You know you wont become famous if no one can hear you~" I

playfully said. Key just blushed and looked down at his face as he squeezed my hand again.

     "You're my #1 fan Haley...and you're," He looked up and straight into my eyes as he said the most beautiful

words I ever heard. "You're the #1 girl in my heart, Haley Park."

     "K-k-Ki Bum...." I stuttered, "Stop saying weird things like that. You're not the cheesy type." I blushed and looked

a way.

     "Haley I mean it." He said, his voice full of embarrassment.  He rubbed the back of his neck , but I just stared

confused at the emotion I've never seen Key display. Kim Ki Bum was embarrassed? Am I dreaming?

     "Key....do you.....like me?" I asked with confusion and some shock in my voice.

     "I get it, I know its weird for a friend to like their best friend...not to mention a girl."

     "N-no! I....Key," I chuckled "I like you too." Key blushed and just stared at me as though he just heard something

uncanny.

     "Haley?" He stepped forward and waved his hand in front of my face, seeing if I was okay. "Are you feeling okay?

Did you just say you like me?!?!" I laughed and pushed his hand away.

     "Yes Key, I -Haley Park- like you -Kim Ki Bum." I answered as I pointed from me to him. At this Key's smile

grew wider and he stood up straight and crossed his arms as he let out a happy sigh.

     "Well that went better than I thought." We sat on the bed together and I nodded.

     "It's sure is one good way to end the week." I looked at him, he turned to me and gave me a side hug.

     "Haley, you know I've liked you since Middle School? And here I thought-"

     "That I just liked you as a friend and nothing more? Same here." At those words of relief, Key held up the back

of his hand to his mouth, and let out his signature laugh I had come to know and love. "Well key, now we can part

ways at the end of the year knowing how the other feels." Key stopped laughing and frowned at me.

     "Haley don't think that now that we know the other's feelings that we're cutting all contact." I just stared at him.

He stood up proudly. "I've decided! We're going out. Its official." He nodded approvingly to himself and walked over

to the window where he entered moments ago. I stood up and walked after him.

     "KIM KI BUM! You're suppose to ask me out properly! Not just announce it without my approval! How do you know

my answer?" I half yelled, but key just stepped out the window and started to go down the fire escape. He looked up

at me.

     "I'm the Almighty Key~ I know everything." He winked at me, and with that he slid down the fire escape; and out of

sight. I sighed and walked back to my bed. I laid down and smiled up at my ceiling.

     "Kim Ki Bum, you sure know how to make my heart flutter." I whispered to myself as I laid there, thinking about

how perfect my life is.

     'Hmmm....maybe one day I'll marry that man. Haley Kim does have a nice ring to it......'
