Fate: The First MeetingTaehyun’s POV
I walked into the house with both hands full with brown paper bags in the left and a carton of eggs in the other.
“Grandma, I’m home.”
I put all the things on the small wooden dining table when I heard grandma’s voice coming from the back of the house.
And, she was talking to a guy?
“He’s back. I think you should go for now.”
I peeped out from the kitchen window, but all I could see was the back of that man. He seemed loaded as he was wearing a nice suit.
But, who is he? Never see him before though.
I quickly ran back to the dining area when I heard grandma’s footsteps coming closer to the door.
“Hi, grandma.”
I greeted her with a smile, hoping that she didn’t realize I overheard their conversation.
“Oh. Hi, dear. You must be hungry. Come on, I had prepared kimchi jjigae for you.”
“Coming.”
I headed to my bedroom to change before joining grandma at the dining table.

I was tying up the shoelaces when grandma sat beside me.
She looked worried somehow.
“Taehyun-ah, be careful.”
Her tone really showed that she was worried.
But, why?
“Grandma, are you okay? You never seemed this worry before.”
She looked straight into my eyes and hugged me tightly.
“Hey, is there something that is bothering you, grandma?”
All of sudden, I could hear her sobbing on my shoulder.
“No, there’s nothing that you have to worry about. It just..”
“Just…?”
She didn’t reply to my question and sent me out of the house.
“Walk carefully to the school. If there’s anything, give me a call.”
I bid her goodbye and walked to school that situated about only two blocks away.
While in the way, my mind kept thinking about the thing that grandma had told me earlier.
She never been this protective and worried before.
I thought to myself.
Is there anything that going to happen?
Is that has to do with the man that she met yesterday?
I kept thinking deeply before I could feel someone pulled me from behind.
“Arrgh!”
