The Odd
OVERDOSE: Midnight Memories“Hhh…,”
“Sarang…,” I see Lu Han from my blurry vision. My breath was one-two-one-two. The air suffocates me. He walks towards me. “Sarang…,” he keeps calling my name. I want to reach him but he seems so far away.
“Lu Han…,” I whisper, “… help me.”
“Sarang…,” someone shakes my body as I open my eyes. His doe eyes capture mine. I pushed myself on to his chest. “It’s okay… it’s just another dream…,” He pats my back slowly as bringing me closer into his coldness. Every time we have skinship like this, whether a hug or a light pat, I can feel a tingle throughout my entire body. But, for almost a month I have learned to endure this. Why? Because it’s the only way I can survive until now. Although his touches are sickening me and even causing various pains, I will always come to him. He is like a new friend by circumstance sometimes, but I can’t help it. I should do that, if not I will have gone crazy by now.
“It’s the same dream, Sarang?” He asks. “I am sorry. I still can’t enter fully into your dream.” He adds while caressing my hair. I nuzzle my nose on the crook of his neck while closing my eyes, trying to gather my sanity. “It’s always the first layer that I can access, Sarang…,” he continues, “but, why must every time you beg me to help you…? I try to hijack your mind as well, but it’s always a fail. I see you though Sarang, is that a jungle, right?”
I clear my throat before speaking so softly on to his skin. “Uh um, jungle.” I nod unconsciously. “Everytime the air always suffocated me, Lu Han. That was why I begged for your help…,”
“It’s purely a memory, Sarang.” Lu Han utters. “But, it seems like you have no idea whatsoever about it.” He pushed me to take a better look on me. “You just know that you were in jungle and the air was heavy, aside that nothing. But, the feeling was that the dream is bad one.”
I nod. “It’s all begun after you brought me home, Lu Han.” I look at him before opening the blanket that covers our bodies since the room suddenly becomes so hot. “Does it have anything to do with what you guys did to me before?” I tilt my head to .
“Yah.” Lu Han pouts, “… Stop that already, Sarang. To affect or play with mind, only me who can do that. Palming or sipping your blood, does not give any effect towards your mind.”
“So, why can’t you enter my dream already?” I smirk.
“That is odd for me to think too.” His brow arches as he puts an act of trying to think of something possible. “Maybe you did something on that jungle which was rated M?” He giggles.
“Yah. Lu Han.” I tap his head.
“Of course not, right? You have a body of a teenager anyway!” He slides his tongue.
“Yah. Stop that!” I neck-locks him while suddenly there is the sound of footsteps come to my room and followed by knocks on my door. Lu Han and I freeze at the moment. “Yah. Go now.” I loosen my grab on him when he suddenly disappearing from my room as if I have been alone all the time. “Hyerim, is that you?” I kick the blanket away before walking to the door to open it and find Hyerim with eyes half-opened look at me.
“Who are you talking with?” She asks while pushing
