HaeJin's POV.

"It was back in middle school. We were in the same class. 2A to be exact. I remember the first time I walked through the gates. I was so nervous. It was the first day of school and all I could see were kids interacting with each other and playing around. I wanted to talk to them but I was afraid and I just decided to wait till homeroom..."
I looked at Kai's face, he was so intrigued. I can't believe he wants to know. Everything. Was I really going to tell him everything? Everything that happened? 

"Hey why did you stop?"
My brain stopped the thoughts and my lips pulled a meekly smile. 
"Sorry.. Where was I? Oh right... "

The bell rang and everyone ran into the big school building. I slowly made my way towards the big building only to run into a little boy. We both fell down. I shirked in pain as my bottom met the cold floor. slowly I stood up on my feet and saw the little boy standing. I bowed apologising a million times. But he stopped me with his hand on my shoulder. I looked at him confused.
"Once is enough"
He smiled. I couldn't help but think that was the best smile I have ever seen. My tummy felt butterflies.
"I'm Jongin. Kim Jongin. What's your name?"
I could only stare at first. This cute boy was asking for my name. Me. 
"Hello?"
He waved his hands infront of me. I blinked several times before regaining myself.
"O-oh I'm S-Shin HaeJin"
He immediately gabbed my hand and shook it.
"Nice to meet you HaeJin. I'm sorry about earlier, I should have watched where I was going" he chuckled.

It was like music in my ears. Hearing his voice. 
"N-no it was m-my fault"
Why did I always stutter.
"Hey it was mine. Now We should probably get to class. What class are you in?"
"Ah 2A"
Suddenly his face lit up.
"Really?! I'm in 2A. Let's go together"
With that being said Jongin grabbed a hold of my hand and pulled me with him. The sudden contact made my heart beat like crazy and my cheeks fire up like a barbecue.
We made our way hand in hand through the big halls finally reaching a big door with the sign:
'Class 2A'
Jongin turned around smiling.
"Were here" he beamed. 
Suddenly the door opened and out came a teacher. She was middle aged but looked like a teenager. She wore a white blouse and a black pencil skirt. Smiling, she spoke.
"Hello you two. Your late"
We both bowed immediately, apologising.
"Sorry we had a little mishap"
The teacher giggled at Jongin's response.
"Okay well I'm your teacher. Mrs. Hwang and I guess your Shin HaeJin and Kim Jongin. Am I right?"
We both nodded our heads in response and shocked at the same time, amazed at how she knew us.
"Okay now follow me into the classroom please"
We followed Mrs Hwang into the class room only to be met with a loud bunch of kids. 
"Class"
They all stopped talking and turned their full attention towards us. I felt intimidated. I guess Jongin sensed that as his hand tightened around mine and a small was placed on his lips.
"Okay class we have two new kids. Kim Jongin please introduce yourself"
Jongin's hand left mine as he stepped forward. Girls began whispering and squealing. 
"His cute"
"Oh my gosh"
"Another one kyaaaa"
Was all I heard. 
"Hello everyone. I'm Kim Jongin, I like to play games and I'm very friendly so please take care of me and I'll take care of you" he bowed. All the girls squealed in excitement. 
"Oppa marry me!"
"Oppa let's go get ice cream"
"Oppa your so cute!"
The girls yelled.
"Okay okay now. Thank you Jongin. Please go and sit next to luhan. Luhan raise your hand"
A kid at the back raised his hand. He looked like a deer, but a very pretty deer.
Jongin made his way towards the boy and sat down smiling. 
"Okay now HaeJin your turn"
I slowly made my way to the front of the class and looked up only to be met with glares and judging looks. 
"H-hi I'm S-shin HaeJin. Please take care of m-me"
I smiled. I was scared, nervous. 
"Do you like have a stuttering problem. Loser"
"What's wrong with your hair"
The class erupted into laughter and as you can say I felt like breaking down and crying right then. I moved from my old school because of this, looks like life doesn't want to give me a new start. Tears were beginning to well up.
"No harsh comments. I expect you guys to treats HaeJin like your class mate. HaeJin please go and take the seat at the back"
I looked up at the back only to see a empty table. I was by myself again. 
Making my way slowly towards the table I looked up to see Jongin smiling. He mouthed 
"It's okay I'm here"
I nodded my head and a smile crept up. 
The day went on and class flew by. It was now lunch and all the kids ran out. I didn't bother looking because I wasn't going to leave. 
Looking out the window I could see kids laugh and run around. They had friends, I didn't. Loneliness dawned over me and i could only sigh.
"Hey why are you sighing?"
Jumping in my seat I turned around to find Jongin standing there smiling.
"Jo-Jongin?"
"HaeJin?" He looked at me confused.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be outside with luhan?"
"There's other time for that. I wanted to stay here" he smiled. And that moment the crazy heartbeat came back and the flaming red cheeks were starting up again. 
"Why were you sighing?"
He asked again. 
I bit my lips, hesitant to answer. 
"I-I was just tired"
I lied.
"Ah okay. Hey you wanna go and get ice cream after school?"
"Okay"
I smiled. 
"Cool chingu"
'Chingu' those words rang through my mind. I have a friend. I finally have a friend. 

For the whole lunch me and Jongin talked non stop. We found out a lot about each other. He moved here because his parents started a new company which is gaining popularity which meant he had to move to a more sophisticated school. He had a sister named hyoyeon who is about three years older. And he loves dance. 
The day went on. Lunch ended and class began. Teacher talked, students chatted. I on the other hand couldn't help but take glances at Jongin. Indeed he was cute, handsome. He had the cutest and most shimmering smile I've ever seen. You can say I was infatuated by him. 
After the last bell rang girls waved goodbye too Jongin. 
Sitting there I slowly packed away my things, waiting for Jongin to come and call me. 
I tuned around to see if He was still there and there was no sign of him. 
"Maybe he went out already"
I grabbed my bag and walked out of the classroom making my way towards the door to head out. 
Once I reached the door I looked around in search for the brown haired boy. 
Spotting him standing there I was about to call him when another girl ran up to him hugging him. 
At that moment my heart dropped. He forgot about me. All the things he said he forgot, he lied. I wanted to hate him then and there but I couldn't. 
They stopped hugging. Jongin grabbed the girls hand and she smiled. They walked out together. He forgot me. Tears were falling. It was to good to be true. 

The years past and my heart never changed for Jongin. He became more popular and handsomer. I would walk past him and his group of friends but he would never recognise me or acknowledge me in anyway. He changed from the little boy I met that day. 

It was the start of high school. 1st year. Jongin aka 'Kai' changed. He now went by the name of 'Kai'. His normal happy, bright self became more arrogant, intimidating and cold. He had girlfriends different days of the week and I'm pretty sure he lost his ity. That small boy that I met that day disappeared and became the 2.0 version. 
Yet again I was alone. Entering the big gates that read:
'SM High'
I looked around. Groups of people chatting, making new friends. I had hope that lingered in me. Maybe I could finally start fresh. Maybe this could be my break. Maybe I can finally have a friend. A true friend. It did hurt a little leaving middle school and not being able too see Jongin or a.k.a 'kai', but maybe I could find someone else. I sighed and made my through the gates towards the big brown building.
