“Surprise!” Jinki screamed taking the blind off from you and you opened your eyes examining your surroundings.

“A cave?” You asked unsure. So that was where he planned to take you on your 1000th day as a couple.

“It’s hot outside!” He said in an isn’t-it-obvious kind of tone.  “I know how you are having trouble sleeping lately.” You two were talking so much at night that he was sleeping more in the mornings ruining his workout schedule. “So I though. Why not a cave?” He raised his arms in a cute way and you completely forgot about how stupid that sound.

“Thanks…” You said trying to seem happy and not a little disappointed.

He watched you, his smile disappearing slowly. “You don’t like it.”

He seemed so sad that you felt like a horrible person.

“It’s no that I don’t like…just not expecting it.”

“Ok! Just see what I prepared!”

He quickly pulled you by your hand inside a bigger part of the cave where some tourists were taking pictures.

It was rather beautiful and for a moment you forgot about your disappointment.

“What did you prepare?” You asked, your eyes moved from the walls of the cave to your boyfriend who was now clearing his throat and if he was going to do something really important.

He touched his coat pocket urgently searching for something and suddenly you knew.

He was going to propose.

“OH MY GOD!” You screamed, the noise reverberating on the walls making everyone look at you.

He stopped immediately, slowly taking his phone out. “It’s only my phone!” He said blushing realizing that you were expecting something else.

OH that was embarrassing.

“Oh, I’m so sorry I…”You felt like the worst girlfriend ever, that’s when a sweet song started playing, a song that you loved and he used to sing for you.

You looked up wondering where the song was coming off just when his voice started singing it.

“Did you do this?” you asked looking at him and he smiled knowing how beautiful it sounded inside a cave.

“So this was the surprise.” You were happy now. That was beautiful and the tourists probably loved it too.

“Not all the surprise.” He said shrugging his shoulders just when the song stopped and everyone in the cave could hear Jinki speak.

“You probably were expecting this because you are the smartest woman ever…”

You looked back at Jinki who was touching his neck embarrassed. What was that?”

“….but I was a little selfish and decided to do it in a cave. Not because it’s fresh here, well….also because of that. Don’t want to sweat more than I’m probably sweating already…”

You covered your mouth laughing at Jinki who was clearly sweating a lot.

“…but I want to hear your answer millions of times so please scream it for me.”

You wondered what he meant by answer just when he stepped forward and grabbed your hand.

He didn’t give you a ring or stood on his knees but he looked in your eyes and asked it “Will you marry me?”

“Yes!” you said without thinking covering your mouth trying to hold in the tears.

“Say you will be my wife…and scream…” he said urgently making you confused.

Oh yeah he asked you to scream. “I WILL BE YOUR WIFE!”

It was embarrassing but now you knew why he wanted to do it in a cave and said he was selfish.

The echo was marvelous and what you said was repeated so many times that he couldn’t stop smiling.

“No giving up now!” He warned caressing your finger, firmly grabbing you so you couldn’t run away, not that you wanted to.

“Never!”
