At the Safe House

“Head count! Who made it out alive?” asked Yesung. After the attack on Rogue Court headquarters, several Court Rogues had escaped to a safe house on the outskirts of Seoul. 

Eunhyuk stood, cradling his broken arm. “I’m here,” he said. 

Leeteuk had managed to stay unhurt; he knelt at the unconscious Hangeng’s side, tending to Hangeng’s many cuts. “Hangeng and I are here,” Leeteuk said softly. 

Heechul limped forward. “Siwon and I were able to transport Ryeowook, Donghae, and Sungmin to a hospital. They are the most severely injured out of us all.” 

Siwon suddenly slammed his hand on the wall. “I can’t believe I was away when the attack happened.” he growled, frustrated. “I could have helped more.” 

Leeteuk shook his head sadly. “I don’t think it would have made a difference, Siwon. They took us completely by surprise.” 

Yesung continued the head count. “So far, only Kibum and --------- are unaccounted for.” Eunhyuk raised his head. “Wait. Where is Shindong?” 

Heechul started crying. “He’s gone,” he sobbed.
