The Heart Never Forgets

You tried to concentrate on little stuff to take your mind off.
You have to be professional.

Your mind just wandered back to what you've seen.
What should you do?
You realised you were reaching TS entertainment, but you saw a crowd.
They were teenage girls.
One of them spotted you and pointed at you.
When you were near the door step of TS entertainment.
The remaining people charged towards you, and swarmed around you
There was a girl, probably the leader of the crowd,
with a lollipop stuck in ,
" You!" She rolled the lollipop with her tongue, making the white stick twitch left and right.
She glanced at you from top to bottom.
" Who are you? Why are you going into TS Entertainment? "
You snorted and shot her back, " Who ARE YOU? Why are you standing here outside TS Entertainment? "
She, obviously pissed, blew her fringe off her head.
" Look, I have no time to play games with you. I'm the one who asked the questions first, please do that favour if not violence will be taken into hand.
You gave a solemn sigh, " I am a reporter and here to do an interview.
Honestly, with the attitude you're giving me, I can am more than capable to make you infamous and unable to stare at people with that eyes anymore, " You threatened.
You were right.
The war has started.
Probably because of Daehyun's comments, fans have decided to look out for evidence that he has a girlfriend.
You wondered if the rest has girlfriends...
You glared at the other girls, while in your head, you were thinking it was probably one of them who made that comment online calling you a b*tch.
That girl snarled at your comment.
" I'm letting you go. Because I'll need you in the future... "
" What? " you were shocked.
She smirked, as she used her fingers to take out the lollipop by holding on to the white stick.
She leaned in and whispered,
" If we ever find out who are their girlfriends, " she gave an evil laugh, " Please do the honors of spilling the news to the world. "
After her words were left ringing in your ear,
She stuck the lollipop back in and put her hand out,
" Please let me have your name card, we will find out the truth and you can just report it... No charges.. Unless you insist. " she smirked.
Your blood was boiling, at the same time, your heart is nervous.
You put on a straight face, " Aren't you all, " you look at all the girls, " suppose to be in school now? "
They all gave an annoyed face and groaned, one timid-looking little girl cried out, " School's boring! "
Others chorused, mumbling.
"Besides, " a taller looking girl added, " We care for Oppas more than our future.."
" Really? " you raised your eyebrows, " How are you caring for Oppas by finding out his girlfriends? "
All of them stood silent.
Some fidgeted, others look away.
You smiled, " Go back to school now, "
They immediately moved aside to let you enter.
You walked straight in.
Your heart was pumping rapidly.
You can feel it pulsating through your veins.
What?
What did she just say?
She is finding out?
Is this the exact reality she fears?
Your mind was spinning.
You barely had time to patch up with Daehyun.
Is this a way of intimidating the future that you have finally set your heart to walk in to?
You glanced at your phone, 19:34pm, you're already late by 4 minutes.
You ran to the reception area and after making known your details and the interview, she gave you directions and you proceed.
HIS POV
I slumped down into my seats.
One performance just ended, totally exhausted.
I was about to grab some shut-eye...
" We will now go back to TS Entertainment for Interview, you guys should rest for the interview later. " Manager Hyung said as he buckled his seatbelts and start the engine.
" Interview? " I questioned.
No one replied.
I looked around me, everyone was almost fast asleep.
Are they really asleep?
"Hyung," I stared at him, " What interview? "
He glanced at me through the mirror, he murmured, " You'll know. "
What's with the suspense?
Damn,.. normally Manager Hyung informs us of the schedule on the day..
One more interview?
What if they ask weird and funny questions like the last time..
I am so tired of this life...
Soon.. I was drifted away by my tiredness.
YONG GUK's POV
" YongGuk. "
Manager Hyung was by the door of our dorm and signalling me to go out of the dorm to speak privately.
It was in the morning before we left for our schedules.
" Urms.. "
He was nervous.. but why?
" Hyung, what's wrong? "
He bit his lips, he seems to be thinking.
After some time of opening and closing his mouth without speaking,
" I think Ji Yeon is back.."
What? Even Hyung knows?
"Hyung... How did you know? "
"I received an Email from a Journalist named Baek Ji Yeon. As in, there may be other Baek Ji Yeon, but.. "
I understood. It was like an instinct.
He continued, " She has requested for an interview... "
I froze. After leaving for two years and she wants to interview us?
I know Ji Yeon is strong, but the fact that she's doing this, is she completely over Daehyun?
".. and I gave her the option of today after the broadcast if not three weeks later after the promotions have ended.. "
"And? " I couldn't help but probe him to speak faster.
"She picked today. " He was staring in my eyes.
Ji Yeon.. is that really you?
" I see.. "
" The thing is, " he clasped his hands together and probably just swallowed his saliva..
" I don't want Daehyun to be affected by this news. Honestly, he can fool everyone but he can't fool me. He still hasn't gotten over her. "
I know. Actually all of us do, he did a great job at hiding but all of us can see the pain hidden.
Especially since all of us has a girlfriend now,..well except HImChan.
We try to not rub it in as much as possible.
But.. since Daehyun saw her yesterday.
And how he broke down in front of me..
I couldn't help but feel sorry and want to protect him.
As much as I love Ji Yeon as a friend, Daehyun is my brother.
For whatever reasons Ji Yeon left, I hope Daehyun will be strong enough to face her.
"So.. " my mind was still wandering.. " You want me to make it discreet ? " I stared into his eyes.
He nodded, " I think it is better this way, he wouldn't have the whole day to think. "
I agreed. I scratched my eyebrows with a finger as I wondered what I could do..
I'll probably tell the rest of the guys.. later without letting Daehyun knows..
" Thanks Hyung. "
" Ohhh.. and.. "
"Yes? "
"Because of Daehyun comments three weeks back, the management have found groups of fans lurking around the area.. I know all of you have girlfriends, please handle the situation carefully and not blow up the matter. It's already bad enough to have a heartbroken guy in the house, I don't want the four of you to face the same pain as he is.. " he joked.
That's why I respect Hyung so much, as a manager, he still cares for us.
He patted my shoulder and left.
I'm a little worried.
Will Ji Yeon have difficulty coming here tomorrow?
And, Daehyun,
Daehyun, please be strong.
After the Broadcast,
" We will now go back to TS Entertainment for Interview, you guys should rest for the interview later. " Manager Hyung said as he buckled his seatbelts and start the engine.
" Interview? " DaeHyun questioned.
I glared at the remaining members to signal them to keep quiet.
Everyone nodded back and instantly pretended they were all fast asleep.
I peeked a little and saw Daehyun looking at us..
"Hyung," he said, " What interview? "
There was some silence, then Hyung said, " You'll know. "
Daehyun, I'm sorry we have to keep you in the dark like that.
HER POV
Well... I'm in the room supposedly where the interview will be held.
I was fiddling with my pen and notepad..
I was nervous.
I would be lying if I said I'm not.
Under such a circumstance we are meeting..
How should I react?
Should I be friendly?
Should I be professional?
Even if I don't put Daehyun in the picture, B.A.P are like my brothers.
And I'm a journalist.
I don't want to put them in a difficult position with questions that are..
But.. I need those questions to make our company have better sales because we will have exclusive news.
I recalled reading my assignments..
I will be interviewing other groups.. From Cube Entertainment, Woollim Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, YG Entertainment..
But.. none of it will be as nerve wrecking as this.
I looked down at my laps and gave a deep sigh.
Why am I in such a position today?
I heard loud chattering.
Foot steps approaching..
It was getting louder,
So was the sound of my heart pumping..
This is it.
After two years, this is how we'll meet.
Under business conditions,..
Where he pursed his dream,
And I pursued mine.
The footsteps stop,
Under the door I saw shadows.
The door separates us now.
The door swing open.
I looked back at my laps.

You have to be professional..
I turned around to look at them, they were all looking at me.
I smiled and approached them,
" 안녕하세요 (Hello), I am Journalist Baek Ji Yeon, It's nice to meet you, please take a seat before we proceed with the Interview. "
I didn't stare at any of their eyes.
I did a brief glance.
But only Daehyun froze.
The rest seems to know that I'll be interviewing..
" Hyung! " Zelo called out to him.
I chewed my lips..
I'm sorry Daehyun.
I'm sorry for always hurting you like that.
" The Interview will be done in a series of questionaires, " I looked at my notepad.
I am so so nervous.
I think they could tell from my flushed cheeks and breathless talking.
Eye contact, Eye contact, be professional.
Once again I didn't stare into their eyes.
I did the quickest glance for Daehyun.
He was staring at me.
Just like how we first met after we first broke up.
I ignored.
" If you do not mind, I will be recording the interview, " I waved the recorder in the air.
Still doing brief glances, and trying to make my voice sounds calmer.
" When you are ready, please start with introduction. I will begin recording now. "
I feigned a smile and press record.
" 안녕하세요 ( Hello ), I am Bang Yong Guk, Leader of B.A.P, Please take care of me. "
His voice was slighty shaky.
You know it,
It was the tone he used when he speaks to strangers.
Your heart hurts a little.
" 안녕하세요, I am Him Chan, the face of B.A.P. Nice to meet you. "
No cheekiness.
Him Chan Oppa is also being like this.
Ji Yeon, don't be affected, you've asked for this.
" 안녕하세요, I am Zelo, the maknae of B.A.P. Please take care of me.. "
Zelo.. not you too.
Your heart feels heavy.
It felt as if it has sinked into the pits of your stomach.
"안녕하세요, I am YoungJae, the vocal of B.A.P. Please take care of me.. "
Deep breaths. Deep breaths.
Still maintain fake eye contact.
" 안녕하세요, I am Moon Jong Up, the dancer of B.A.P. Nice to meet you. "
You have known these guys for seven years.
Yet in this split second, all of them felt like strangers to you.
Since they are professional, you have to-
"안녕... "
Daehyun.
Daehyun has spoken.
You couldn't face him.
You were staring at the wall.
Be strong Ji Yeon. Be strong.
" I am Daehyun. " Your eyes connected with him for the first time today. (excluding the performance)
His eyes were watery.
Please please don't cry.
You had gathered so much courage to meet him, if he cries...
" The Honey Busan Vocals of B.A.P. " Every single word was enunciated solemmly.
His eyes never left you.
And yours never left his.
Both of you were doing the eye conversation.
The conversation..
Nothing
Both of your eyes read nothing.
Maybe pain.
Somewhere hidden.
You thought his introduction has ended.
You tried to look away and focus on the interview..
" I am happy to see you. "

I hope you could feel the emotions..
I didn't wanna make their first meet up after so long disappointing.
But I didn't want to end there with a cliff hanger ><
